  1. I'm not really sure what people expected. I saw most of the questions sent in and what was asked reflected these in general. Obviously a commitment to proper corporate governance, greater fan ownership and involvement, bringing in proven professionals, looking at scouting, PR and indeed all functions of the Club. One of the main tasks is to reduce costs and increase income. They will have ideas on this but they are unlikely to broadcast them with the whole world looking in.
  2. I met him once and found him a very nice man, perhaps too nice and not ruthless enough for what we need.
  3. Subscribe to whatever you want but the institutional investors who paid 70p per share had seen the price drop to 42p with no sign of it picking up. Wouldn't you be concerned?
  4. Just go to a stockbroker or a bank dealing in shares. Make sure you tell them you want a share certificate etc and for the shares not to be held in a nominee account. I used Beaufort Securities (for my nominal 10 shares) the rest I invested via Buy Rangers.
  5. Looks a bit like him but it's Ronnie Johnston - new RST Board member.
  6. Maybe one day D'Art. We have the guys from Swansea and Portsmouth coming to speak at our Gerspride conference. It would be good to see you there.
  7. Think about the practicalities. No-one outside the Club has access to the season ticket holders database so how do you get to them and how do you verify they are season ticket holders?
  8. Board members will have their own thoughts but as a Trust we have to get a vote from our members on who to support. At the moment, we are trying to ask questions of both sides so that we can give the members as much information as possible before asking them to vote. Put it this way, if all the Board are pro-PM and the membership comes back and says we want you to vote for the current Board, then that is what we have to do.
  9. Perhaps once the Club is sorted out it's something that could be worked on. BTW we are holding another Gerspride event in November, details to be released shortly.
  10. I think you are correct Bluedell. Certainly, I think the vast majority of the RST Board are in favour of change but some need convinced that PM/ JM is the way to go. Talking to members at our AGM I think the feeling is the same. We had hoped that if we could set up meetings with both sides it may help those in the undecided category.
  11. I love the idea of a return of the Rally but expanded to a weekend.
  12. Why not get a Trust member to put that in question form and send it in?
  13. The RST has already e-mailed members to ask for questions. I can't speak for the other groups.
  14. I take it you haven't seen RM and FF (to a lesser degree). The only one that has access to call a meeting of the sort people are requesting is probably Jim Hannah and I don't think he'd be allowed to do that. Otherwise, how do you ensure a public meeting is free from non-Rangers fans?
  15. It appears we can't win. We organise meetings with the Rangers Board and meetings with the requisitioners and invite people to send in questions. The answers will then be reported back. What else do people suggest.
  16. To be fair D'Art, Ally also endorsed Craig Whyte and Charles Green. I believe Walter's endorsement of Mather was based on a footballing point of view i.e. getting players in etc.
  17. Hard to say. The Assembly represents all supporters clubs, members of NARSA, ORSA, disabled supporters committee, blind party and the corporate sector. The Association represents RSCs who are members and the RST represents about 2.5K members.
  18. No, Mike Ashley holds shares under his own name. I'm not aware of him ever expressing an interest in increasing his shareholding.
  19. I'm not Bearger but for me they are too much aligned to Green and his investors. Until we hear who is involved there will always be suspicion. They have also stated they are here to make money and nobody had heard of them being Rangers supporters until they were wined and dined by Charles. Did they sit in the members section, did they have season tickets, did they ever sponsor a game or advertise with us? Obviously one of them being a convicted fraudster doesn't sit well with me either.
  20. There was one Board member who was in touch with him constantly who had a good relationship with him.
  21. As you would probably expect D'Art, I found your comments about the RST membership given to CG a bit sarcastic and a bit unworthy of you. This was given out last October when we had a pretty good relationship with CG. This was prior to the IPO and before anyone knew just how much money he was going to be taking out in salary, bonuses, pay-offs and shares. It was also before the 'tapes' came to light which put doubts (and more) in people's heads regarding his relationship with CW - remember 'You are Sevco'.
  22. Maybe he will if TJ goes.
