  1. Cantwell is the real deal y'all. Good win. Team needed that badly.
  2. If he is going to receive a benefit when a team experience that(players sold on, Europe, etc.), then yes. I think that is completely fair, but to simply penalize a player when the team are not successful, is just wrong. Especially if that player was not even implemented. Manager changes? Formation shifts? Injury...especially that one. Knee blown out? "Tough titty kitten...guess you better go buy a Honda." Lenny broke it down where it makes more sense for me now. There is a give and take system in place...kinda. Thanks man.
  3. Right on man. Now see, put in that perspective it evens outs. Thanks.
  4. LOL! Brother you need to put that pipe down. I hope for the best either way.
  5. What about the guy that doesn't fit into a system because managers are changed midstream? He finds his ass polishin pine for four months. The team get relegated and he gets penalized? Come on now...
  6. I would only agree with such a tactic if it worked both ways. Profits up, players get increased pay or bonuses based upon an agreed percentage of that profit. Is that a common thing as well? Penalizing a player for something before the fact, that may or may not be largely out of his control is complete mierda.
  7. Good work rate, can score, consistent track record. No ruptured Achilles, bulging discs or phantom sicknesses. He did suffer an ankle injury against Panetolikos in Dec 22 (link)--looks like it took him out for about six weeks (TM) and may be the result we are seeing in his reduction in output. Certainly nothing out of the ordinary...hopefully. Perhaps could be in our benefit as that drop in production may have turned off other suitors. Oher than that he seems like a decent prospect Current--35 games 13 gls 8 asst. Seems like a tough Latin kid. Safe bet. Me likey. Hope Rangers get this guy. https://sportish.co/football/superleague-1/158820.html https://www.transfermarkt.com/luis-palma/leistungsdaten/spieler/539043
  8. Are you friggin serious? That's absolutely ridiculous. I did not know that. Thanks bud.
  9. Aribo ain't comin back. Would you? Put yourself in his head. You pay your dues at Charlton. Roll the dice on coming to Scotland. Then you finally get your shot at the bigs. Now you're gonna go back to Scotland? Two years later? For what? Granted he will be in the Champs next year, but still. Them numbers on that contract don't change, just the scenery.
  10. I kinda clowned earlier in the thread but it looks like Rangers are actually signing this guy. This cat seriously scares me. Pretty serious medical issues. Loan to Wigan-torn hamstring three months--recalled to Chelsea--and 12 month 'mystery illness' that saw him out of football for 18 months. Loan to Blackpool-ankle ligament tear--recalled to Chelsea Loan Stoke--out first nine weeks with a groin, pull, tear? I appreciate that players are expensive and hard to acquire...but
  11. Dude, that's all I'm sayin. Craig made some valid points though. I can see it both ways.
  12. Five million! The guy plays in Northeastern Slobovia. Half of those guys on the pitch probably had to plant beets after the game.
  13. I don't know if this guy has been mentioned on here. I didn't see his name on the list. But what do you think? I know, YouTube, sorry, my guy in Macedonia has the flu. I saw that Rangers had interest in him. Seems decent enough.
  14. Lookin at things, I don't think there is one...no matter who. Thanks Bud! Good talk Craig.
  15. I don't necessarily agree with that argument. Pressure either eviscerates, or creates diamonds. It is dependent upon the conditions present. Fan is short for fanatic. The pragmatic sportsman learns this very early on. One of the main errs I see in our system is we simply coddle these MEN (they can vote, die in war, go to prison)...MEN for far too long. But they can't get out there and play a damn game of football? Not to sound like the blind American here but they have leagues all over this world where 16, 17, 18 year old's are out there with the big boys. How old are our 'kids'? Nah...stop this mama bear BS and get em wet. Nothin to it but to do it.
