"What an unseemly mess this has become. Ally McCoist and the Rangers board are in a stand-off and nobody can be sure who will blink first. You'd hesitate to give McCoist advice, but if he's had enough of life in this job then he should quit and announce that he is not talking a penny in compensation, unlike so many others in the abject tale of Rangers' demise. From the moral high ground he could announce that's he going to write a book and will expose some of the things that have gone on in the last three years. A last act for which the fans will love him forever."

I think the courts might get in the way of such a book being published as they might be the place where some of those events will hopefully be exposed.

He's been right in the middle of this mess profiting like the rest.

Fair enough - but this is an opportunity for him to just go for their throats. The past is done - the present and future is what matters now.

Maybe, just maybe he is now regretting some of his actions and is now ready to give them both barrels.

We are at a huge crossroads - things have to come out now, or never.

One thing Ally could do to restore faith within the support would be to come out all guns blazing and tell us all how it is. No holding back - tell us EVERYTHING.

IMO Ally has been guilty of backing all CEO's and saying all the right things about them. Enough of that now - get it all out in the open and stuff any attempts at a confidentiality clause !!!

Come on Ally - be a true Ranger and stich this mob right up and let's get the battle fever on t end this hell once and for all !!!!!!

nice thought but in all honesty he's supped at the same table with these f**#s for too long to have any credibility and come out of this looking like nothing but a bitter wee man .. read a bit by Gary Ralston "the real reason" it's just a load of guff about how he is doing this to turn the attention on the board as he was starting to get the criticism. aye ally you were cos you are a liability as a manager. it's going to be messy but best shot of him now. no doubt they are trying to piss him off so he will leave. as the money grabber wouldn't walk without a wedge then that is the only way left. he will only be credible if he truly walks and waves his pay off then spills the beans.. (only if the beans are worth spilling mind you..)

There is a fork in the road, the sign says............

Left for 'F**king horrible place'............ and Right for 'somewhere worse'.

Starring out a couple of letters doesn't make referring to Ally as a 'cunt' any more acceptable here.

Emotions are running high, but let's at least try to keep Gersnet's standards up.

I don't see them as opposing factions though. He's been paid huge wages, got in on the penny shares, is grossly incompetent but dug his heals in. What makes him different from the rest?
