New Club Statement - spot on

Recommended Posts

Thank you to the Rangers board.

That statement completely epitomises the anger and astonishment i feel today.

Could honestly not agree more. This will not be tolerated. No more.

From those political parties whos leadership teaches nothing but intolerance and hatred towards everything that resembles Britain to our so called football authorities who have at the least stood by and watched if not participated fully in the hatred of all things Rangers. No more sitting silently as you persecute and promote intolerance.

What happened yesterday was almost certainly the worst case in Scottish football history. I've never heard of more than half a team being assaulted by fans anywhere in the world never mind Scotland.

And some call it 'over exuberance' or whatever?

It really homes in on Petrie, his responsibilities, actions and lack of actions.

Here you have the Hibs Chairman and SFA Vice Pres. who is wearing a double hat of responsibility outright refusing to call attacks on Rangers players disgraceful when given the opportunity by journalists. His attitiude and tone was of difiance.

He then subsequently doesn't call or instruct anyone else in his club to call Rangers to inquire of the well-being of our players.

Difiance and indifference in such circumstances from someone in authority at both Hibs and the SFA paints a very clear picture of the problem that confronts our club and support. When the people who should be actively looking to solve problems are very much part of them they should resign.

The fact is the Petrie would be the first to be demanding apologies and bans if it was our fans who had invaded after the final whistle. The man is disgusting hypocrite of the highest order.

Don't disagree with the sentiment, but that's a counter productive statement. The story is now Rangers v the SNP and Rangers v journalists when it should be all about Hibs and their fans. We must keep the focus on them but I don't know if that'll happen now.
