The Pre-Summer-2017 transfer rumours and hearsay all inclusive Thread

One of the potential benefits of the early start to our season is that the squad will have had a fair number of competitive games before the start of the league campaign - hopefully Pedro has them gelled and working well together in the way he wants to play and we start the season on fire. This signing is pretty exciting (as a sign of things to come) and I'm really looking forward to the first game now.

Ryan Jack set to join Bruno Alves at Rangers tomorrow after undergoing medical

By Andy Devlin

Alves' arrival in a £500,000 deal from Cagliari signals the start of a huge summer of recruitment by Pedro Caixinha's Ibrox side

BRUNO ALVES is targeting the title after becoming Pedro Caixinha’s first signing as Rangers boss.

SunSport can reveal Ryan Jack will tomorrow join Alves at Ibrox as quickfire capture No2.

Alves’ arrival in a £500,000 deal from Cagliari signals the start of a huge summer of recruitment by Gers.

Jack will complete his switch to Ibrox tomorrow.

Ex-Aberdeen skipper Jack, 25, has been in talks with Gers, and has undergone his medical.

He will be announced as Rangers’ second signing of the summer, as Caixinha gets new faces in quickly ahead of the Europa League campaign.

Talks between Gers and Norwich continue as boss Caixinha also aims to secure midfield ace Graham Dorrans.

Rangers are confident a deal will be struck for Dorrans, 30, but it’s unlikely that will be concluded ahead of the squad returning for pre-season training on Monday.

Benfica duo Daniel Candeias and Dalcio remain firmly on Caixinha’s radar, and it’s understood both could arrive in Glasgow early next week.

Winger Candeias, 29, is available on a free transfer while hitman Dalcio, 21, is likely to agree terms on a season-long loan from Benfica.

Despite reports linking Setubal defender Fabio Cardoso with Wolves, SunSport understands Gers are also confident of striking a deal for the 23-year-old.

Mexican ace Carlos Pena has already sealed his move to Ibrox, and will shortly head to Glasgow for his medical.

As far as I know Alves got calgari to let him go on a free so we have no transfer cost for him.

Rangers transfer news: Daniel Candeias' agent confirms talks are underway

RANGERS are in talks to sign Benfica winger Daniel Candeias, according to reports.

Express Sport understands Candeias and Benfica team-mate Dalcio are top targets for Rangers boss Pedro Caixinha.*

Caixinha has already got his summer transfer business underway with Portugal international Bruno Alves joining on a two-year deal following his exit from Italian side Cagliari.

*

Aberdeen midfielder Ryan Jack is believed to be his next target with the Scotsman's deal set to expire this week.*

However, Sport Witness claim Candeias is high on Caixinha's transfer wish list and his agent Antonio Teixeira has confirmed negotiations are being held over a transfer.

Teixeira said: “There is interest, but we are negotiating.”

Caixinha is supposedly keen on bringing new signings to Ibrox as early as possible this summer to avoid missing out on top targets.

Rangers finished third in the Scottish Premiership this season and Caixinha wants to bring in fresh faces to ensure his side can compete with Celtic next term.*

The report adds Candeias’ agent Teixeira is unsure of whether Caixinha wants to sign his client on a permanent basis or an initial loan deal.*

But either way they will face competition to sign the 29-year-old with Turkish side Alanyaspor also interested.*

Candeias spent this season on loan at Alanyaspor where he scored four goals and provided four assists.*

He is contracted to Benfica until the summer of 2019.
