Europa League Draw: Rangers / Progrès Niederkorn v AEL Limassol / St Joseph's

Recommended Posts

I have just changed at a cost of £148 (£60 fee + £88 difference) so a total of £366, not great but not a disaster. Now arriving at 13:55 on Tuesday so hopefully no delays and the kick off isn't too much ahead of 6.00pm! Return on Thursday was slightly dearer than Friday but saves a night in a hotel and still get to see Differdange.

Now for the hotel.

I don't really understand why you never booked from Tuesday to Friday as that would have covered all the European football days.

The cost of the hotel for the extra night is much more than the extra flight cost for coming back Thursday and Differdange v Zira is at Stade Municipal de Differdange - Differdange Wed 05/07/2017, although it also shows on the Thursday so who knows!

Rangers will run out in front of a packed Ibrox crowd for their first European clash in six years next Thursday.

Pedro Caixinha 's side were today drawn to face Luxembourg minnows Progres Niederkorn in the Europa League first qualifying round and the match is almost certain to be a sell-out.

Gers fans will finally get the first chance to see their six new signings, including striker Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Jack and Dalcio in action, in what will be the Light Blues first competitive match of the new season.

With all this in mind, it's not taken long for one TV company to get busy in striking a deal to show the first leg match for those who can't make it to Govan for the return of European football.

Premier Sports tweeted this evening to let Rangers fans know they have secured the rights to the game and they were well pleased with themselves.

Delighted to confirm live UEL from Ibrox of @RangersFC first game in Europe in almost 6 years against Progres Niederkorn.

The pay-per-view station, did similar last season when they covered Aberdeen and Hibs Euro exploits but came under a bit of criticism for the lack of pre-match build-up and their coverage in general.

Gers fans all over the world won't be complaining though at getting the chance to see Caixinha's new recruits in action.

When is the game being played?

The match will take place on Thursday, June 29 with the kick-off time yet to be announced.

Where can it be watched?

Premier Sports can be found on SKY channel 428 and Virgin channel 551.

How much does it cost?

The details have not been released yet but last season's coverage of the Dons Europa League adventure, was advertised as costing £11.99 for a one month subscription and it could be the same for Gers fans.
