Confirmed: Pedro Sacked

Recommended Posts

Hard to argue he didnt deserve it. Impossible really.

I would have given him more time but hey ho.

Warnock must be high on any replacement list

Would be > £800k basic just for him alone. Zero chance. Nobody with a reputation will put it on the line when they know the very best they can do is second place. No English manager with pedigree wants second place in Scotland on their resume for low wages.

Who in their right mind that isn't desperate will look at us and think they can win the majority of old firm games and challenge for the league??

Doubt the expectations of our fans has ever been so far off.

Barry Ferguson's take:

http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/41763757

"has to be someone who know Rangers inside out" and the size and "expectations of the club". I'm sure Pedro knew and knows the size and expectations. As for knowing it inside out - no-one knew it better than Greig. ...though McCoist knew it almost as well.

Does he think before he speaks? Actually, can he think? He repeatedly says he's speaking just as a fan (as opposed to what - an applicant?) - and he's talking to the BBC. Some fan.

EDIT: And Boyd: ""There's a series of outstanding candidates, Billy Davies, Derek McInnes and Alex McLeish have been mentioned. Without stating the obvious, it has to be someone who knows the club and can get results week in week out." "Must have the club in their DNA) (Again, Kris - like Greig, like Ally? - http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11788/11099747/rangers-man-needed-to-replace-pedro-caixinha-kris-boyd-says)

Will be followed up with comments from KM and LW tomorrow ,then super ally and Walter next week so we all know the hiring of one of the "boys club" is the best thing to ever happen to us.

One siver lining is we will see a thawing in the press as one of theirs takes the seat. Some "guy" that knows what rangers is all about so will play punt the ball tactics, remove all dietary constraints and just tell the youth set up to go back to not bothering as his mates an agent and has kids to feed.

Boyd and Ferguson are at it in my opinion.
