trublusince1982 243
Mccinnes took two days to consider offer but has decided he would prefer to stay at Aberdeen according to statement out
ascender 352
Oh well, that's pretty final then although I'm not sure why it too so long for him to make his mind up. On the one hand I think the team is in as safe a pair of hands as it could be under the circumstances, especially when you look at our next few games, but on the other, this doesn't really reflect well on anybody at a Board level does it?
Gaffer 1,665
Aberdeen manger Derek McInnes: "I’ve had a lot to consider over the last couple of days and I appreciate it’s been a testing time for everyone, including my family, and I’m pleased to be now totally focusing on purely on on-the-field matters.” I wonder now if McInnes has used this to improve his own deal. He'll never be Rangers manager after this. Obviously, as you'll all know I'm pretty happy that it's not him but this is awfully embarrassing for the Rangers board. Having said that, it'll be even worse if we have a knee-jerk reaction and appoint Eck or someone like that.
ian1964 10,875
Still not convinced McInnes is going to be the new manager!!, if it was going to be him then he would be in place before now, however whoever gets the gig will get the full backing from Rangers fans no doubt. Seems I was correct!, onto the next one then????
Waltersgotstyle 317
Looks like he has not even spoke to us.
der Berliner 4,252
Looks final to me and saves us quite some cash. Keep Murty in the hot seat for the time being, wait till the Swedish season ends and get Graham Potter from Östersunds. Won't happen though and I wonder who the other guys on our lists were / are.
ian1964 10,875
Looks like he has not even spoke to us. Have Rangers actually came out and said they wanted him?, must have missed it!
Gaffer 1,665
Seems I was correct!, onto the next one then???? Ian: We really need to start listening to you more. If I had taken your word for it, I could have avoided the last few weeks of worry that DM was going to be our manager. Now, please confirm that it won't be Eck either so I can relax completely.
pete 2,546
Thank god heart surgeons don't dither like our board in the past seven days I have been in hospital had a heart operation and now back home I kept abreast of all matters Rangers a and put on a few posts but I think if we appoint this man it will be the wrong move maybe I will be proved wrong only time will tell there but it will take about a million from or club to compensate Aberdeen money that could be used to strengthen the present squad which has been playing some decent football , only time will tell . I hope you are keeping well mate.
