Rangers could still sign Dominic Solanke before Friday’s transfer deadline but Steven Gerrard needs one thing to happen to be able to complete a late swoop

I think this is speculation. Goes against what Gerrard has said. Only way it could be true is if Gerrard has changed his mind on formation and want to be playing with 2 strikers. If so we'd be a striker short.

Jak Alnwick: Glasgow Rangers goalkeeper joins Scunthorpe United on loan

Scunthorpe United have signed Rangers goalkeeper Jak Alnwick on loan until January.

The 25-year-old is former Gers' midfielder Stuart McCall's first addition since taking over as Iron manager earlier this week.

Former Newcastle keeper Alnwick moved to Rangers in January 2017 from Port Vale for an undisclosed fee.

He has played 11 times for Rangers and ended last season as first choice after Wes Foderingham was injured.

Is it a loan or an actual signing?

Far too expensive for us unfortunately. By the time his loan is up he'll only have another year left on his deal though so who knows. He's a homegrown boy though who wouldn't take leaving NF lightly.
