The two K's for me today

1) Katic bloody awful and when Helander fit should be dropped from squad.

 

2) Kamberi a wonderful goal and his turning the Saints defender inside out to set up second makes him my MOM.

To be honest the league was already gone b4 today. We’ve only the SC to look forward to domestically. 

I genuinely hope our manager can see how well Kamberi  fits our system. We need a big forward up front.

Kent and Koldson were pretty shit.

We are not moving the ball quick enough and trying to play in small areas whereas we should be looking to spread the play and stretch the St Johnstone defence.  I also felt the passing today was poor with too many balls in the air making control more difficult in what was a poor pitch.

The one thing I'm pleased about was the change in formation (4-4-2 / 4-2-2-2). It was well conceived and executed. I'd like to see more of it.

 

The 4-2-2-2 is the standard formation that RB Leipzig play, with the 3-4-1-2 rotated in for certain games. We have the players to play that way, but it takes a lot of work on the training ground.

 

We messed up with those late changes, but quite frankly, we still should have had enough to beat them.

Schoolboy defending cost us a win today and not for the first time after the winter break. 

 

Tav has regressed again and looks really short of confidence in anything he does - prime example is the easy chance at 1-1 that he squandered.

 

Alfredo looks like a little boy lost since the break and maybe off-field issues getting to him.

 

Most worryingly is the total capitulation of the team since we destroyed Celtic at end of December.

Can't disagree with any of that. Hagi and Kamberi have been good acquisitions but they have been outweighed by the slump in form from so many others. If we can't hold on to a lead and press for another to make the game safe then we on a hiding to nothing. How many games have we lost or drawn from winning positions? To fucking many. How many have Celtic lost or drawn from the same? Next to none. That comes down to lack of character and lack of belief. Until we actually win a league we won't believe we can. It's a catch 22.
