PoohBear 1,074 Posted September 15, 2022 Share Posted September 15, 2022 What's really annoying is that we showed good fight for the first 60 minutes, the problem is that it isn't Gio's team that showed fight. It was a team that hasn't improved since 2019, and in fact it's been weakened in that time. The manager doesn't convince me either but when the recruitment is as poor as it has been (in short term regards recent summer window) then he hasn't a functional paddle. The squad certainly has issues, but I maintain that it is 'fine'. Going with none of the new signings and older players just shows zero vision. If he doesn't do something a bit more inspirational on Saturday I might cry.
