[FT] Rangers 3 (Cantwell 5'; Souttar 34'; Sakala 70') - 0 Celtic

Defensive frailties still there. Could have been 3-3. Even better, could have been 6-3.

The spoilt child doing the bbc commentary shrieked at the third goal: “Rangers have won the battle  -   but they’ve lost the war  -  we all know that.”

Expect he cried himself to sleep last night.

The ref had a shocker of a match yesterday, seems nobody noticed!

Most Rangers supporters noticed but no one seems to care what we think.

We played with a defence that had 3 players who haven't totalled 10 league starts between them this season. With that in mind, they did well and ended up with a clean sheet. Our first against them this season I may add.

So much said about the players they had missing. They had 5 who played in the SF who didn’t start. We had 6. Yilmaz, Souttar and Matondo have barely kicked a ball all season. Our squad has been ravaged by injuries all season, Tom Lawrence another example. Colak looked like he could fire us to the title until injuries ruined his season. Tillman has been one of our best players this season and was injured yesterday. But Tom English has to mention the big caveat of the missing players 2 or 3 times in his article.

Agreed. We played with our 3rd choice keeper, 2nd choice left back, 4th choice centre back and our 7th and 8th choice forwards (missing Morelos, Kent, Roofe, Colak, Lawrence and Tillman), and were also missing 2 midfielders.

Does anyone think we would have been improved by having Tillman in the team yesterday?

Given the limited options we had on the bench, the answer is yes.

However, same could said for the likes of Lawrence, Roofe etc.

Nope. He's far too ponderous on the ball. This results in losing possession and momentum when attacking. He's undoubtedly skillful but it's time to forget Tillman IMO. Especially at the price being talked about.
