Not a great performance, but as I said after the Genk-Servette game, we can win this tie in 2nd gear. We'll win by a similar scoreline in Geneva IMO.

2 -1 is not good enough, against a middling Swiss side, which was down to 10 men for a significant portion of the game.

Oh aye these lot aren't UCL quality (neither are we to be frank). We should have put 3 or 4 on them tonight.

A lot of panty wetting again on here. Nobody can argue it was a vastly improved performance tonight to what we have been seeing!. Onwards and upwards.

I liked a lot of tonight's performance but things still aren't clicking with some of the new recruits.  We were unlucky to concede a goal and with a bit less slack passing in and around the box, we'd have scored 4 or 5.

 

I can accept that.

I can accept that.  

Slowly getting there I would say. Just need to keep it going with a good win on Saturday.

At least the goalie was busy, making a few decent saves. He should have been busier though.

 

I still think our play is over fussy. I wish we would have hit a few more shots as the penalty area was packed.

For the first 25 minutes I'd fully agree, it was at least better than Kilmarnock - and that's a pretty low bar.

 

After that it was just okay imo and gradually got worse until it petered out. I haven't seen enough to get excited but I think that's down to how poor Servette were - Butland had a routine night apart from getting done by a penalty.

 

I haven't seen anything new tonight which is the problem.

 

Good win though.
