This is the reality of where we are. If he goes for a big fee either this winter or next summer he will go down as a fantastic signing. I even think if Goldson walks this summer for free he is still in terms of transfer fee paid, weekly wage and number of games played per season at a high standard a very good signing.5 points

I'll be amazed if McGregor travels to France, i'd be happy enough with McLaughlin & McCrorie for this game. I'd prefer to give McCrorie the game actually. The lack of defensive cover means Goldson Bassey & Borna all need to play when i'd prefer to rest Borna and leave Goldson behind to get his agent to line up a new club for 4 weeks time. The next 3-4 weeks decide the title, so take no chances with a dead rubber game, and ensure we are rested, fired up and ready to take on the Jambos at a traditionally very hard fixture, followed by 3 home games by Boxing day then the double scum away trips before the break. We certainly cannot afford any injuries to our key players so why risk them with nothing to gain? McCrorie Patterson Goldson Bassey Barasic Bacuna Jack Lundstrum Wright Roofe Sakala I dont for a minute think GVB will make as many changes as the above side would be, and while I'll be watching the game tomorrow but even if we lose by a big margin I wont care a jot as long as we pick up no injuries. Our job was done in this group in our 2 home games and the point gained in Denmark, and even at our absolute best we may come up short in Lyon as they are a good side, so I just dont see the need to take unnecessary risks.4 points

I won't pretend to know a lot about Vos or Jacobs but their appointments suggest a move towards more faith in bringing through Academy players in the medium to longer term which has to be a good thing. Let's hope the very best Scottish players underpin such an outlook.4 points

They spent circa £40 million on two new centre halves in the summer. And around 9 Million on the lad from Celtc. I dont want to belittle other clubs but they sum up the term 'nothing club' for me. Will never compete for, or win anything. Just yo-yo from championship and Premiership. But have the cash and players can live in London so its a massive attraction.4 points

In general I agree but I also believe we need to try and keep our momentum ahead of a very hard match on Sunday. As such, I'd look for more of a blend of changes and first-teamers: McGregor Patterson Goldson Balogun Bassey Jack Davis Lundstram Wright Roofe Sakala4 points

Goldson has had a poor season by his standards but, if and when he does go, he'll certainly leave with my thanks as his commitment has been incredible over his time here. We just need to time outgoing transfers well but it's difficult to know when to sell or take the risk or under-motivated players or new players who may take time to settle. It's all pretty much a gamble....4 points

The draw of London is massive. The likes of Watford, Crystal Palace and Brentford have spent the vast majority of their histories way down the divisions, the same is true of Brighton who are near London. Including Brighton you now have 8/20 EPL clubs in or near London.3 points

Beating Hearts on Sunday is paramount. Playing Lyon is an opportunity to experiment and test players.2 points

After the nonsense the French have pulled with our support, I hope we get stuck right into them. Mon The Rangers! 🇬🇧2 points

Let`s put it this way, selling the likes of Aribo, Kamara or Kent will sure ease Gio`s chase for people he wants. And we will survive any sale in the same way we have survived before. You just hope we will have a good valuation put on any player`s head and stay strong in any dealings.2 points

There is no way McCrorie plays. McLaughlin hasn't played since October, he deserves it and needs the game time.2 points

It seems a good game for Patterson to play. His pace could be very useful away from home in Europe. Same applies with Sakala, although he should be play at the weekend too.2 points

Unfortunately I very much doubt Aribo will extend his deal if he hasn't already. I don't believe he has been allowed to enter his last 18 months without an offer. With 12 months left on his deal Celtic reportedly got £14m for Edouard, rising to £18m. I've no idea how they got anything like that for him, if true, and you would hope we could get a big fee for Aribo even with 12 months left on his deal in the summer. Selling in January would be too risky.2 points

IF the story is true, I don't blame the player for wanting to test himself down south. Now up to Ross Wilson to ensure we receive the maximum possible fee for him and anyone else who feels they'd like to move on.2 points

Agreed, although Sunday is undoubtedly a more important fixture.1 point

Can't understand any Rangers supporter saying the game is meaningless; as far as I am concerned, no Rangers game is meaningless.1 point

Like the appointment of our new management team, this looks and feels like a very positive and forward thinking appointment by Ross Wilson and the club. It almost feels like this is "the next phase" and it's certainly exciting times for us fans of the club.1 point

It is the greatest city on earth.1 point

Agree with all of this. Gio may not want to break the rhythm of a winning team. I think we are allowed to use 5 subs still in Europe so let's use that as well make 3 changes at half time. Would really like to see McCrorie play.1 point

A really bold appointment. A very young guy with some new ideas around coaching. We have an issue bringing through youth players but the last few years the club have done lots of work in the background to try and change things. Can only give them credit for that.1 point

We have players in 3 categories for this game. Established first team - largely these should not play. Davis, Tav, Kamara, Aribo etc First team needing games - should play. Jack, Bassey, Hagi, Roofe, Sakala maybe even Kent and Morelos Fringe - should play. Wright, Patterson, Lundstrum We can get a good team from that. Mcgregor Patterson Goldson Bassey Barasic Lundstrum Jack Hagi Sakala Roofe Wright.1 point

even at 12 months we have the whip hand. Clubs like Crystal Palace won't get him on a free he will do better. So they have to bid enough to get him with 12 months to go and fortunately even 14 million is peanuts to them.1 point

There is a real risk with the current Helander/Balogun situation. Both seem to be extremely prone to missing games through injury. Helander long term injuries and Balogun short term. Given we cant yet rely on Simpson I think we may see some personnel changes in January.1 point

I'd like to see some fringe players get a game. We should not be risking first team players in a meaningless game.1 point

There are 18 points to play for before the old firm game and we are currently 4 ahead so I’m hoping for a 22 point gap going into the game.1 point

Really bad Tackle. How Kyogo has been getting away with his cheating is beyond me. Can only be bias.1 point

Agree with this. From the boys perspective, he is not playing for us and teams have offered good money for him and will likely pay him far better than us. If anyone comes in for him gut feel he is gone. Also the way Aribo is playing can see him going to EPL. The lower-mid tier of EPL transfers will probably kick start this winter now that things are getting back to some normality. A Watford/Leeds/Southampton for example could quite easily splash £15 million on him. Not sure we knock that back given his contract is running down.1 point

Callum Butcher's attempt at a tackle was worthy of a straight red. Rather than distract the Compliance Officer from his/her collection of Sellik DVDs, wouldn't it be better to allow Charlie Mulgrew, George Galloway and, Jum Spence time to sort Butcher out? It has the added bonus of distracting the three of them from screaming sectarian abuse at Kris Boyd.1 point
