Time to let McGregor go, agreed but it is surely McLaughlin that should get the gloves with Robby his number 2 and Cup keeper. No need to spend money on expensive keeper. Put it towards a striker.

I agree to a point but it makes sense if their no1 keeper plays against Celtic but cant play against Rangers..

I just think a full season somewhere is going to be more productive than the bench at rangers. Was for McGregor.

He wouldn’t be great as a corner keeping coach. Penalties, maybe but that is just a notion with no statistics.

Fair enough but I think we'd be better keeping him, letting AMcG go / JMcL No.1. I don't think AMcG would be good back up. He either plays or goes (for me) and given his weakness at set plays isn't going to improve, he should go. I don't see him being suited to coaching either but that is just a hunch.

Aberdeen are just about the last club I would loan a Rangers player to. Their supporters are so full of hate towards Rangers, that it would be a matter of time until they focused it on any loan Ranger.

We became invincible champions, the class of 55 … those magical European nights at Ibrox that led us all the way to the final. And eventually we crowned my time at the club with the Scottish cup. Thanks for all the memories, the laughter and for sharing some of the best moments in my career with me. And last but not least, a massive thank you to you, the supporters. You are one crazy, passionate bunch. High expectations, that can be intimidating at times - but I loved every single second of it. All your messages over the past 2 weeks have been incredibly overwhelming for me and at the same time they’re the greatest testimonial I can get for my time at Rangers. It has been an absolute privilege and honour to represent you near and far. One of the most frequent questions I’ve been asked in my time at Rangers was if I understand the size of the club and what it means - thanks to you, I do now. Leon Balogun generally did well when he played and all the best to him. Maybe I'm old fashioned but I'd prefer a consistent central defensive pairing rather than a mix and match dependent on which of the injury prone otions are fit (I note Souttar was injured when with Scotland / no idea as to extent of injury).

I wouldn't have been upset if we had kept him. Good cover at centre half with great experience and seemed to truly get Rangers. All the best Leon and hopefully see you back at Ibrox cheering on the famous.

That strategy didn't work last season and could be argued is the reason we lost SG and his management team. It's a huge gamble and costly if it doesn't work. We need to get better quality and need to sign "starters" rather than squad fillers.
