For the first time in our history we have gone 8 consecutive league games where we have lost 2 goals or more.2 points

Hopefully "Big Soapy" will be nowhere near the 1st team, nevermind the vice captaincy - guys a liability.2 points

The on-field captain today looked as though it was Raskin rather than Tavernier. It looked as though the former was the only one playing for the jersey. Lots of basic errors from many players today suggest we need to upgrade in numerous positions.2 points

Avoiding defeat by St Mirren is progress. Maybe Barry’s got a chance after all.2 points

Whoever gets it is going to struggle if they cant shift most of that squad. Years of buying garbage and injury prone players is why we are in this mess.2 points

We have been conceding far too many goals all season and it seems to have got worse since BF took over. Whoever the Rangers manager is next season top priority must be two CB’s2 points

Shocking defending once again and its been going on for years.2 points

I’m so relieved. I’m glad you’re here to help. You should know, however, my second team actually plays at Ibrox.2 points

As in league goals scored 1960/61, i.e. excluding cup-ties. Scott 12 McMillan 8 Millar 10 Brand 24 Wilson 19 31 goals from the wingers.2 points

Fans who want all these different formations and most end up with one centre forward/striker in my day we had numbers 7,8,9,10,and 11 and all were strikers right wing inside right centre forward inside left left wing it’s a simple game hard by managers who think they know a better way and they are all wrong. KEEP IT SIMPLE should be the message2 points

I’ve done some digging on our new sporting director and have to say it looks pretty promising, helped build a wolves team and helped find talented players such as jota, Neves, Traore to name a few, Also whilst at New York Red Bulls he rebuilt the squad leading them to playoffs with the youngest squad in the MLS. So I’m guessing we can expect more younger players coming in be it from our academy or elsewhere like we are seeing now with Josh mulligan and young Cameron from Dundee in which I’m positive will give us higher profit once it’s there time to sell on. He also isn’t shy to take full responsibility and roles ensuring they work to his planned method, whilst at wolves he oversaw the generation of £170 million in transfer fees and let’s not forget how he probably paid an important part with the recent saga with Everton after there points deduction and fighting relegation this season, so he looks well equipped maybe just maybe I’ll actually be able to say I know what a Sporting director actually does to my kids when they ask the question🤣2 points

Must get my name on the season ticket waiting list so I can demand to be taken off it if SG gets the job.2 points

The vast majority of our players couldn't be bothered. No effort from them. Don't get me wrong the tactics were bad but surely the players can do the basics.1 point

Agreed Cammy, but to take a huff and sack him without a replacement was dumb. No one can deny we are worse now than ever.1 point

I think under SG and Gio to an extent we showed that modern day footballers can be fit, strong and relentless. As an example we defeated Celtic in extra-time straight after playing extra-time in an Europen game. Then defeated Hearts after extra-time in the final. The invincible 55 title win where we simply blew teams away. So much so, the odd draw seemed like a defeat. The players were mentally and physically fit, played a system that worked against Celtic and also against the rest of the league. We are a shadow of that team / squad.1 point

This current team reached the last 8 of the EL. It’s the performances in the domestic league which are the problem1 point

Not for me, 1982 until Souness took over was far, far worse.1 point

And that is why you will never be manager of Rangers.1 point

I agree to a point Cammy no doubt about it that science and technology may aid in certain aspects of the new footballer of today, Prime example of why I will take old school footballers any day is there wasn’t any bull shit similar to my day in the Army early 00’s when you went on a Run or a TAB /CFT and showed any sort of lack of effort you got beasted, One Golf club one Golf ball open field and need I say the rest 🤣 If you were lucky and the Cpl would have a bad day and slice it you would be away in the first seconds but you didn’t show lack of effort or desire again, I think todays footballers are pampered and every knock or strain is seen as a precautionary measure which makes them soft and come under a false sense of safety thinking there careers will be some how ok, sure times have changed and we must change with it etc but come on Ripping socks to aid the calf injuries or Jude Bellingham has his socks ripped every game and the club pays the fine every time it’s done 🤣. How many injuries were there in the old days and how many were out for long periods baring in mind the balls and the surfaces and boots they had back then to today’s modern dynamic football was 100x worse. New approach is needed and fast to establish a better atmosphere within our club and what standards need to be maintained, I hope this new investment group can instal that in the club like it’s showing they are doing at Leeds with being ruthless and calling out the ones who don’t put in the effort and desire we as fans expect and deserve for our continued support , let’s hope the other 49% of our board also acknowledges this radical change is needed.1 point

Ah, the play the youngsters card so we can crucify them when things inevitably go wrong. Which youngsters are we specifically meaning here and how many times have you seen them play and what can they bring to the team?1 point
-
Oh it can - it can make you strong on the ball (just think Bassey and Aribo), and can make you faster than your opponent. The squads fitness is a disgrace and was something the Belgian Waffle said he'd address - in retrospect he's made it worse (like a lot of things). BF will carry the blame for limping to the end of the season with an unfit squad of players who've been conditioned to being 2nd. We sacked Clement (rightly) but due to the impending takeover were unable to appoint a permanent manager, so the board done what the do best, went for the easy option. Until we appoint a board and footballing structure who can get us fit, hungry and have a winning mentality/desire we'll continue to struggle. This board conditioned us to be 2nd best and some of us bought it. Getting exactly what we deserve.1 point

You can be the fittest man on the planet but when the team isn’t helping you by carrying the load it soon starts to make you feel weak and Dessers is a prime example of this along with a few others, majority only turn up for the big games like next Sunday will probably be the case.1 point

Stark admission Drop those who aren't trying a leg and play youngsters.1 point

The interim saviour post Clement has lost 15 goals in 7 league games. In the last title winning season, we conceded 13 in a full 38 game season1 point

And poor signings i.e. low cost signings & out of contract signings1 point

We have not signed a real decent defender for years , and if any of that shite start next season we are winning zero once again. The next manager must make it a priority to get quality defenders in. All our best teams in the past were built from the back.1 point
-
Wrong sort of defenders. i.e. they can’t kick the ball let alone the man.1 point

I have been saying it for years about Gogic , we should have signed him 10 years ago he would have been at hero at the club by now.1 point
-
I'm glad I remembered to put the champagne on ice.1 point

Gogic, IMHO, still is a solid defender for Scottish league games, who is strong as an ox, and knows how to defend and sets up his fellow defenders. A current day version of Petric.1 point

Maybe memory deceives me, but I think I haven't seen many league games by a Rangers side even in the days of our Championship trials with as worse a team-play. Today convinced me too that Barry can't be the answer. That line-up was probably set up with good intentions, but did not work out. BUT if you see that it doesn't work, you DON'T wait till the 77th minute and start things. And even that was poor. I'd truly like to have a look-in into Danilo's, Cortes' and Hagi's thought right now. I take my usual "stay-clear" stance on Old Firm games, going by today's performance, we'll get horsed ...1 point

When you have a bunch of limp wristed Nancy boys playing as defenders yoú know your in trouble1 point

Looks a 3-5-2 today with 3 CB’s. Strongest starting XI we’ve had for a while maybe1 point

No, we needed someone who could eradicate the debt, that was Bain's priority and he was achieving that. FFS old Cammy is going mental at "now" Cammy for defending Bain 😀1 point

Here and in general. If you're not seeing any cheerleading then maybe you've become inured to it. I don't think there is any comparison between the current board and SDM. Whatever failures they have they own them. I don't have the same hatred for our board that some seem to harbour. Whatever their faults I'm more comfortable with them than whatever venture capitalists we've got coming next. I know, i'm an inveterate loser who is happy finishing second every season.1 point
