Raskin is a must sell unless he signs a new contract. We can't get into another Kent/Morelos situation. Our operating model means we have to sell.8 points

I must be in the minority, but I don't think I've ever developed a connection with any Rangers player. Other than Josh Windass, of course, but that transcends mere fan adoration, and hits me on a deep spiritual level.6 points

We aren't at the spend 10M on potential stage in our yet to be established player trading model. We are currently still in the annual heavy loss model... ...or the bring in 810,000 for 5 sales and 4 loans whilst committing 4M to Cortes model.4 points

If we were offered £15m for Raskin, I think we'd take it and I wouldn't have a problem with that.4 points

If that is how it goes, fair play. I would suggest that spending £10m on an 18-year-old is not the model we should be following. There's far too much risk involved, and we just don't have that kind of money to spend on one player.3 points

Buying clubs know this and will bid accordingly. One of the reasons that I think we won't get close to 25M.3 points

If these are the 3 players (or assets) being branded then 15m for Igamane should be the priority. He has a bit of talent but not consistent and obviously hasnt settled off the park. Raskin is a must keep unless its silly money. Dessers gets the numbers week in week out even though he can disappear for 89 minutes - he can be sold only if its good business.3 points

Bottom line, not sure why so many supporters fail to realise this.2 points

I agree with your first sentence. Sometimes random mercenaries go onto become club legends. I doubt Peter Lovenkrands and Neil McCann grew up dreaming of a last minute cup final winner for Rangers, a goal that made me as happy as almost any goal ever scored has. With very rare exceptions every professional player is a mercenary, it's a job with a short window to earn money and they all realise that very quickly. Even the ones raised as west of Scotland bluenoses will sign for sworn enemies or leave us for for better wages without much concern. It's only us that form the attachments, these are not reciprocal relationships, I know that. In Justin Halpern's 'Shit My Dad Says' he's got a story of his Dad ranting about the LA Rams and how is son is an idiot for forming any kind of emotional relationship with them. It's both funny and perceptive. I guess that's where football in this country is going too if we're not careful.2 points

Absolutely. I remember running round my living room celebrating in 1997 after reading teletext headline that Laudrup agreed to stay on for another year.2 points

Weird decision hiring the guy. Pretty pointless in truth.1 point

I've seen little of Lennon Miller and anything I have seen doesn't suggest he's a player who'll dominate games or drive us to domestic success / domination, but what do I know. At £10M he's out of our league and that's a huge gamble for us at this time.1 point

People who claim to know about these things say Celtic are very keen to sign him. They see him as a potential future club captain and someone they could get 5 good years out of and still then sell for a huge profit as he's reaching his peak. No problems with settling in or adjusting to the league. The feeling being that he'd flourish in a team that dominates possession. I see talk of £10 million which is a lot for us to spend on one player. But he fits the model everyone is saying we should follow.1 point

I did when I was younger. Parlane, Cooper, McCoist, Durrant and then Souness when he became player manager. As I grew older, lost that attachment to players and the club at times (SDM, Spivs, recently). Hoping the new era allows to be rediscover the connection with club.1 point

This news may lead to Turgeman becoming more expensive, and if we sell Igamane & or Raskin the prices on him and others we are looking at will likely rise.1 point

I was like that with McCoist. Miller's price is way OTT. To be honest I am basing that on nothing because I hardly watch Scottish football teams other than we play against them1 point

We should be looking to sign the young man Miller from Motherwell1 point

Much like the matter, of who plays for us, the seeds have already been sown. All that remains is to watch it take effect.1 point

Don't worry about surnames. Kevin and Paddy are at the helm with Cavenagh and the Catholic owned 49ers there to help. 😂😂😂😂1 point

Let's hope we snap up a few more promising youngsters in the SPL, I suppose it makes sense if we want a quick response in challenging the manky mob for next season's titles with players that already know the SPL. Sure we are expecting great things with our allocated budget and I hope we get them asap.1 point

Don't see this myself tbh, surely looking at better.1 point

I find emotional attachment to the club is sufficient for my stress levels.1 point

If we sell Dessers, Igamane and Raskin what are the chances we’ll get replacements of similar calibre? Summers 2022 and 23 saw many players leave. The signings were almost all inferior to those who’d left. We have previous…..1 point

You are left with modern football which is rubbish. Nobody should be forming emotional attachments to random mercenaries like Dessers, Igamane and Raskin.1 point
