  1. The whole CO & retrospective refereeing thing is now a farce. It started out as something where action could be taken if the referee missed an incident. Now it’s being used to overrule decisions during games & upgrade punishments by an anonymous group of unaccountable individuals.

  2. Goodfellas. Martin Scorsese's masterpiece, 'Goodfellas' has a particularly powerful scene when Tommy De Vito(Joe Pesci) is about to be elevated to the status of, 'Made Man'. He is replete in his Sunday best, about to enter the business front premises and remarks,"the books will be opened for a shoeshine boy". It's not just Tommy experiencing excitement, both his long term friends, Henry Hill( Ray Liotta) and Jimmy Conway(Robert De Niro) realise the potential benefits of being associated with a Made Man. They wait in a Diner for the confirmatory telephone call and in a ten second montage, emotions erupt ............. The ambience inside the PQ Gang Hut has been sombre of late. Prayers for Neil are not being heard, Peter has taken his hand off the tiller of Scottish football, and treasured dismembered member, Michael Stewart left Sellik TV in late Autumn. Party hats are discarded, the streamers and balloons hang limp amid the still, rancid air. However, today's announcement from the Chamber of Secrets has stimulated agitation. One of their own is about to be made up and all members can share the benefits. Sellik TV have announced changes in the line up, former Radio Snyde front man, Peter Martin is no longer doing commentary. Another Radio Snyde front man, Gerry McCulloch is moving from Hosting duties to providing commentary, and Gang Hut associate, Creepy Connie McLaughlin is the new Host of ra Sellik TV. Now, Connie rawking her inner buzz, will bring a new reality. Last month, Gerry told us the SPFL Premiership table was "fake news"; I don't know if Connie will be courageous enough to challenge Gerry's reality? I suspect her hardest decision will be to inform her brother, Chris that she has secured the gig. As the fireworks explode above PQ and the Gang Hut chorus Hail, Hail; spare a thought for calamitous Chris. Only last year, his squeeze, Eilidh Barbour left him for a Sky female golfing colleague. Apparently, Chris did not have feet big enough to fill the spikey shoes? Further, Chris's bi-weekly appointment with Peter's cheese will soon be confined to warm nostalgia. Let's hope Connie and Eilidh are not sharing a beard? It would be too much. As emotions erupt in the Gang Hut, those listening carefully will hear Chris screaming, 'it should have been me'.

  3. It ought to be very easy indeed to put together evidence of bias in the citation/retrospective punishment process. Working on the grounds that the standard of refereeing is supposed to be consistent across every game in the top flight you could reasonably expect that any refereeing errors would also be evenly distributed: i.e. close to 1 in 12 (8.33%) incidents would be against any given club, and equally close to 1 in 12 incidents would be against any given club's opposition. There was a tweet going round following Alfie's ban stating that 25% of retrospective punishments had been handed out to us (3 times what you'd expect), and 40% of incidents investigated were against whoever septic's opposition happened to be (close to 5 times what you'd expect). If that's true there really is no other conclusion you can draw than that the Compliance Officer/Panel of Anonymous Experts is heavily biased towards punishing Rangers and pulling up anyone who's upset timmy.

  7. I got through your first paragraph and almost gave up. Complete drivel. I couldnt care less what nationality you are. I throw Kyle Hutton your way because you absolutely lambasted him when he was at Rangers, and then act all pious and bemoan others who have a go at other players for poor performances. Nobody on here was as harsh on Hutton as you. And you are one of the major defenders against slating players - if you can't see the hypocrisy in that then I can't help you. Jones, Barker an co get it "in the neck every week" ? Last I checked neither of them had played many game minutes all season, so that can't be true, can it ? Are you now just making things up ? Oh, I read what is written alright, whilst you on the other hand see what you want to see. Yes, I find it completely acceptable for Kyle Hutton to give his all when playing against us (and he didnt play like an animal at all, again you are just making things up). That is his job as a professional footballer. He didnt behave like a nerd towards Rangers fans either - again, you are just making things up. I recall being outside Ibrox with my young kid waiting for players to sign autographs and whilst the likes of Weiss literally ran away from fans (sneakily, after seeing fans waiting at one door he snuck out another one), Hutton stood and gave autographs for ages and even spent the time talking to the same fans you say he was acting like a dick towards..... not the actions of someone who doesnt appreciate the support, is it now ? (Bougherra was the other one who would have spent all night signing autographs and chatting). Kent has been fine this season. Some of us see that his role isnt purely about scoring (which isnt even his role at all truth be told) or creating assists. His role is to cause panic in the opposition, which he does. His pace is such that it also prevents opposing fullbacks from getting forward as they know they wont get back to cover - this, in itself, means Barisic can get forward himself without worrying too much about getting caught out. You talk about "black and white" and yet, here you are, believing that Kent's role is purely that. It isnt.

  9. This entire affair is like Scotland in miniature - a hog wallow of corruption, patronage and collusion. When a Lord Advocate admits his justice system is maliciously prosecuting people, it's clear that legal process in Scotland can no longer be trusted. When a Scottish Government doesn't instigate an independent enquiry into abuses by its justice system, it implicates Govt Ministers in the corruption of justice. Then you have a First Minister who spends months squirming away from an enquiry into her own possible corruption. Effectively, Scotland is tantamount to a failed state, where the organs of state are actively flouting the law and colluding to maintain power by corruption. They've done this to our country in a few short years and they won't ever stop.

  10. I think it was from the game earlier in the season, but it was clearly far more worthy of retrospective action than Roofe's.

  11. rangers should accept this ban and at the same time release all the wild tackles we have been subjected to over the last 2 years and say we will only continue to do the right thing if our players get the protection they deserve going forwards.

  12. It was a dive. The main issue with the retrospective process we're witnessing is that TV pundits seem to be prompting it. It seems to focus mainly on matches involving us and that lot, which demonstrates, quite clearly, its inconsistent methodology. I'm sure there are nasty tackles during Kilmarnock vs Ross County and Hamilton vs Motherwell matches but no one seems to notice or care. The whole thing is a farce.

  13. The problem is that no other players seem to be getting called up. I don't think Ajeti dived, he'll get off. Roofe's tackle is different to the Morelos incident, this was in play trying to get the ball. Morelos was an off the ball incident with no intention of trying to get the ball. The two aren't comparable and this is now in the grey areas of re-refereeing games.

  20. Just had the chance to see a tackle ON Roofe by a St Johnstone defender. Is that from Wednesday or the game in August? That was worthy of two red cards IMO. That was a shocker yet and if it is from Wednesday I've yet to see much about it https://www.instagram.com/p/CK7AYfLh_ty/?igshid=j4jk4y5w622i

  21. he definitely dived and so far 3 refs agree. being touched doesn't give you licence to go down and get a pen. there would be dozens a game. it has to be enough contact to take you down or hamper your play. the bans are quite long for diving iirc.

  22. You got that right Gonzo. There are however two sides to this. It's one thing to have a negative opinion of a player like Ryan Kent (although God knows why). It's another thing altogether to continually express that opinion for no practical purpose other than to indulge one's own ill-will towards the player. When this is done repeatedly, it goes beyond simply expressing an opinion, it becomes an exercise in trying to sell that opinion. As a supporter, that's wholly acceptable when it's a positive opinion. When the opinion is negative, it simply becomes destructive. Sometimes the denial of this is as good a guide as any to the truth of it. Personally, I'm in footballing heaven right now. The journey has been hugely painful for me and these wonderful days are healing a lot of hurt. Why any Rangers supporter would prefer to wallow in negativity at this time is beyond me.

  23. Rangers could win 7-0 every week and some of us would still find something to moan about (me included). I think it's a bit of a Scottish trait and although it seems entirely negative, continually looking to improve isn't a bad thing. Kent does a lot of good work and when he's on form, he's terrific. However, there are definitely areas where he could do better.
