A good Ayrshireman, and a bear to boot IIRC. I think he will do a good job, he will have different ideas to Eck and WS but only a fool would go into that job and completely change things overnight. Nucleus of a decent squad who have great team spirit - and if you believe the things you hear about Burley he will only foster and enhance that team spirit.

Here's hoping this one comes off..... Blackburn's hopes of signing midfielder Amdy Faye from Charlton have received a boost. Rovers are keen to sign Faye, who is currently on loan at Rangers, before the close of the transfer window as they look for a replacement for Robbie Savage. But it appeared as though the move would be blocked by Fifa regulations which prevent a player featuring for three clubs in a single season. However, a Fifa spokesman has now confirmed that Blackburn could appeal against the ruling. "In general the rule does apply but if a club or player asks Fifa to look at any case it comes to the Fifa legal department," the spokesman said in the Daily Record. "A typical example of this situation involved Carlos Tevez last season." Faye has been training with Blackburn over the last few days but Rovers chairman John Williams remains in the dark about whether a deal can be pushed through. "Amdy is on trial with us for the week with the approval of both Rangers and Charlton," explained Williams. "But even if the trial proves successful there is still the issue with Fifa."

Oops, sorry, different thread..... Frankie informed you that Boyd is our top scorer
-
Did you just skip past Frankie's post ? :fish:
-
Frankie just debunked your theory anyway.... unless you change your post and say he is our top LEAGUE scorer
-
He wouldn't be even close to our top scorer had Boyd been getting any playing time.

Rangers have recalled Filip Sebo from French side Valenciennes.
craig replied to pete's topic in Rangers Chat
Burke and Naismith aren't scoring because they are playing as wingers - hardly a fair comparison. Sebo has done NOTHING to warrant a place in the first team. Naismith has probably had similar playing time to Sebo, been played out wide, and yet still has had more production than Sebo. I doubt we will ever agree on this Gribz but Sebo is pish - he is getting his chance in France and STILL shows nothing of any quality. We hear people saying that if Boyd doesn't score you are as well playing with 10 players - at least Boyd scores, Sebo doesn't score, his first touch isnt good, he barely gets into proper scoring positions.... yet he should be considered to play up front...... I would rather have Lee McCulloch playing up front than Sebo.,... and I dont want LM up front either !- 22 replies

Rangers & Manchester United ââ?¬â?? More Similarities Than Differences
craig replied to CammyF's topic in Rangers Chat
Same as you Gribz but in reverse.... I lived in England and used to go to Highbury every other week (in the days when Arsenal would get pumped 2-0 at home to ......... Swansea... even with players like Jennings, Brady, Sunderland, Sansom in the team) but when I used to visit family in Scotland I would always get taken to Ibrox by two of my uncles. Makes perfect sense, in our situation, to have two teams to support.- 6 replies

Apparently we are interested in him as a replacement for Cousin.... Taken from Sky sports Lille duo Nicolas Fauverge and Kevin Mirallas are both being linked with January moves across the Channel to Britain. Fauverge, 23, has emerged as a candidate to replace Daniel Cousin at Rangers. Cousin has taken advantage of a clause in his contract to talk with Fulham after they lodged a £3million offer. Now Walter Smith could be forced into the transfer market for a new target-man and he could make another move on the French market.

I have 20 quid on Torres to be top scorer too, that looks screwed as well - used to love watching the Pool teams of the early 80's even though I support Arsenal - for the same reasons as you Jon, the Scots in the team.
-
I was just messing with you anyway Jon. Arsenal have bigger fish to fry.... you know... the EPL.... are you supporting Spurs or Liverpool in that ? Makes no difference, neither have any chance Great result though, could be just what Spurs need to get their season going.
-
You followed it up with "I cant stand Wenger".
-
You are ecstatic at a team LOSING though Jon, not Spurs winning !
-
Gribz might ask you to marry him
-
Don't worry Gav, captain Craig is here to balance the teams....
-
Quite sad how you "support" Liverpool but love to see Arsenal get beat. Sad indeed. Don't worry though Jon... I presume you will be supporting Spurs against the Pool too then ? I hope Everton make the CL next season......

Agreed Cammy - City are trying to pre-empt the undoubted moronic behaviour of some of their fans. It is a shame that such events can't be marked appropriately and abided to by all in attendance
-
Does your keyboard not have a "g" button on it Fraser ? :fish: He didn't want to be here so I would rather we sold him - 2 mill profit isnt bad in a 6 month period
-
Agreed, I think we have looked much more dangerous with Burke and Naismith supporting the lone striker, we just also need midfielders breaking into the box.

Bigger wages
-
At the same time though we are only one or two referee "mistake(s)" from losing the title.

What a howler from the Hibs keeper. Looks to me like Hibs are playing the best football as well.
-
Bring back memories does it Jon ?
-
Seriously ? Nice move not getting Tim Cahill.... would Cahill have come though ?
