As I said above, I doubt Blin would be interested in the FD role. I can think of one or two candidates for that role though

Blin for Chairman. I doubt he would be interested in an executive role, but would be an ideal candidate to help bring financial stability to the club. As for CEO, there are loads of candidates out there. Possibly someone totally unknown to us may be the best bet.

Every director who approved the 5% commission should get punted. It's outrageous. Some of the reasoning here is dreadful. We spend millions to buy Edmiston House and the car park and Ahmad wants commission on income or savings whereas we are currently worse off financially. He did a deal for selling strips as if it's wonderful. It is a standard deal for a club so why should someone get cash from every strip sold? He will be wanting cash from every season ticket sold because he put an advert in the Rangers news next. Mcmurdo's attitude here is deplorable and obviouly has no concept of "Rangers First".

Frankie, there are missing threads. Looks like the restore was done to a time before the forum went down.
-
And I'll be using mine tomorrow night.

I've paid my cash for my season ticket. Don't think I could do anything even if I wanted. I'd imagine those who have taken finance would be effectively in the same boat. You've bouht your ticket and all that's left is an arrangement between you and the finance company. Rangers will have their cash, Edit - just noticed that refunds are allegedly available. Are the club really going to refund fully paid tickets? I just don't buy that.

As shareholder liaison he would need to have fairly detailed knowledge. However I think we'd all agree that there's more to this than the positions described today
-
Is Green actually in the boardroom though? I don't think he's been appointed as a director. Generally I'd say that it wouldn't make a huge amount of difference , although having access to information that could be passed onto prospective buyers may be useful.

Blin sat along from me in the Main Stand. -
Name one person on this thread who isn't concerned in the slightest about our football costs.
-
No, I didn't say that.

I'd say that 99%+ of the business world have not been caught publicly lying in the past 12 months. Why go for one of the <1%?
-
Also, surely if you are looking for someone for Shareholder relations you would want someone with a track record of truthfulness?
-
Promote the interests? To who? Not promote the club but its interests. Not sure what that means. Shareholder relations? A fairly straightforward job. Spend a morning every 6 months with each of our major investors? Can't see that paying more than £10k. Advising the company on its capital structure? I'm not a fan of its current structure, but can't see the reason for any change. Very suspicious. I wonder if the role was advertised and Green applied?

Perhaps an ex-Radio Scotland presenter, who also appears to be very pally with Leggat?

I see that FF has reported that the big man has passed away. A big shock. RIP

There seems to be a belief that unless you can define something down to the smallest point then it can't exist. We are a British club. We, the fans, the directors, the management show it in a number of different ways, either by our songs and chants, our flags, our traditions, our customs, the political stances etc. Not all agree with it, not all want it there but it does exist. It doesn't mean that all fans have to like it or have to be supportive of it but is there really a need to define it? I'm sure I could if I had the desire and the time but I have neither. I know it's there. Others may disagree as is their right but that doesn't change anything as far as I'm concerned.
-
And how much of them were put in place under Green's own watch?
-
I wasn't really being serious, hence the smiley. I don't care about the use of it but was trying to get my head around the concept of what would be the situation if I did (theoretical debate only) and although I didn't reach any firm conclusion in my head, I think had the sitation been reversed I'd take the same attitude as you are.
-
I was considering asking him to remove my bit. It's fine when quoting me or referring to what I've written in a forum post where I have the right of reply but not in a published article where I don't. However it's probably a bit late for that and also may be a bit petty.
-
Probably. You are criticising them for expressing their views while doing so yourself. That's hypocrisy. It's a forum. I can comment on as much or as little as I like. Thanks. Is this the bit when I run away crying....
-
Agreed. That's our biggest obstacle at getting rid of FTP or the F word. The main reason IMO that it has crept back into our repetoire on the odd occasion is that the fans have seen Celtic fans getting away with it with very little criticism and therefore there's a reaction. It doesn't make it correct, but there has to be parity for it to be accepted by a larger proportion of the support.
-
Pot and kettle. Seems like you don't consider others' rights and you're trying to impose your views and values on everyone else. If people sing songs that you don't like and they aren't in the banned "list" then what's the problem? Sing your own songs. There's songs sung at Ibrox that I don't like but I don't feel the need to try and get folk to stop singing them just because I personally have an issue with them.
