As a director, he's bound by a level of confidentiality and also collective responsibility. There may be circumstances whereby a director may wish to ignore that and reveal what was going on, but in doing so would damage their own future boardroom credibility. Murray obviously doesn't to go that far and therefore the letter is a waste of time. Inference and innuendo helps nobody. He should either have the balls to say what he wants to say or just shut up.

I'm not sure why there's a need to try and prove all the stories are wrong by focussing on the use of "gangster" which was used by a few people with a lack of imagination. Whatever tag is given isn't that relevant. For those who haven't heard the stories, your best bet is to speak to someone from Inverclyde. You can then decide whether you wish to put any credence in them and how relevant it is to Rangers.

Is there any point in answering this because if it's negative you won't accept it anyway?

Weakens the board and also disrupts the balance.

The bottom line is that I don't believe Murray and Cartmell leaving is a positive step.

There is only one lot of shares, so if King bought 28% then he would own 28%. I am not sure what the definition of "public hands" is. For King to buy 20m shares, he would need to find willing sellers, but otherwise there's nothing to stop him doing so, although I'd have thought that if he was going to buy shares he would want to go for 51%.

Presumably just James. I don't believe Sandy is looking for a formal seat on the board at this point.

Why do you say that?

Seems to be 2 issues, but it's not the easiest thing to follow. Celtic's debt situation and whether they pay corporation tax. The former seems to be an issue quibbling about words. Celtic probably do have debt (can't remember and don't have their accounts to hand) but their net debt is relatively low. Any further argument is just getting into semantics and I've already dealt with the corporation tax. Celtic have always been a bit creative on the presentational side but I've yet to see anything that suggests that there is real creative accounting going on. There may be, but there's nothing in the OP that I can get excited about.

Not sure of the relevance of Celtic not paying corporation tax. If they have large losses brought forward from a previous year then there would be no need.

I haven't noticed any difference when browsing Gersnet over the past few days.

We know no such thing. Many said the same under Murray and look where that got us. All of us should be concerned at the current level of expenditure. It may be that the current board of directors have everything under control but I would prefer that they demonstrated it by action rather than words and assumption. I have seen very little signs that we have moved away from SDM's boom or bust approach.

Very enjoyable article. Thanks.

Well enough for Rangers but not East Fife? -
And what's the story on Longmuir? I'm guessing this is the campaign to give Doncaster the job?

Just renewed this morning.

The greed of the short term buck in the pocket and not worrying about the long term potential problems will ensure that it goes through. Hope I'm wrong though.

Yes, great to have them back. Don't mind the 1872, but don't like the red bit it's on. Why not just blue, or if another co,our is required then white?
-
I actually like the way they look but they just don't look the most practical of things for professionals to play in.

Don't like the collar of the home strip. It really takes away from the rest of it and basically spoils it. The shorts on all 3 look too big. I really like the white strip. the black one is OK.

This is in line with what I heard that Whyte told McCoist well before the transfer window that Jelavic was going and wasn't to be replaced. However you'd expect us to get our own company name correct.

What a weird way of doing things. So if the agent was able to get £18m, we would only receive £10m. Why limit your upside?

It's extremely unfair to lump Davie Robertson in with Wright and Cleland, He was a class above them. -

With what in mind, Frankie? The problems, the causes, the way we have come out of it, in relation to the future? -
Was the date of 1981 added after 2006? Was it not just added in 1981? Am I missing something?
