  1. That's probably why we're meant to be signing Sterling.
  2. Souttar and Raskin played really well but the Todd Cantwell Man of the Match award goes to Todd Cantwell.
  3. Disagree. The team played well enough to win and the team selection and tactics were fine, on the whole. The back 3 worked well, and changing to a back 4 when the team started to tire was reasonable. Taking off King shows where Beale ranks him. Bringing on Jack to replace a tiring Raskin wasn't something that most disagreed with, even though it was Jack who gave away possession which led to their goal. I see that picking Morelos has received some criticism but again I thought he was fine. There wasn't a huge number of alternatives anyway, with 2 games 2 games in 4 days probably being a bit too much for Hagi and could also be the case for Matondo. A vast majority of the crowd seemed to agree, given the tremendous ovation he got when being subbed.
  4. My view is that he's a reasonable player but the club saw that Devine had progressed and he was the one to be back-up rather than Zukowski on the basis that he's home-grown, younger and therefore had more potential.
  5. Alfie ran straight over and gave them pelters, then Cantwell did it on his way back up the park. Well deserved as they were cheating bastards throwing the ball onto the park to hold up the game.
  6. Well done to Alfie, Cantwell and one of our coaches for giving the cheating Hearts management team pelters at the goal.
  7. I'm away to search to find out what kind of car you've got Nosey bastard loyal!
  8. Very nice!
  9. I don't get this myth that's been perpetuated. I obviously watch different games from others. I don't recall any games where there's been a lack of effort from Kent. It was only a couple of months ago that Beale was waxing lyrical about Kent and many online were hoping he stays. He didn't play well in the recent SF when he was clearly unfit, and hasn't been at his best this season, like many others, but it's not through a lack of effort.
  10. So you can't speculate about whether we'd have reached the EL final but you can speculate on the quality of our signing? Yeah, ok.....
  11. So you would have preferred to have sold him and not reach the EL final?
  12. Not sure that I agree that it was a bust. He contributed towards 55 and getting to the Europa League final. I wouldn't swap either of them. As a fan, I'd prefer to have them in the bank rather than the £15 million, spending which may not have had the impact we wished for.
  13. That's fine if we're wanting to just be a club that develops players. I'd prefer that we're the type of club that wins leagues. We can't afford to allow McCrorie to make mistakes. We need the best keeper we have. We saw this year what happens when we have young players in the team and they make mistakes when we played King. We dropped quite a few points and before we knew it, we were too far behind Celtic and the league was effectively finished. It would be great if we could do both challenge and develop but in a league where Celtic dropped a total of 3 points against the other 10 teams before they won it, we can't afford a single mistake.
  14. It was going to be Raskin until he went off injured too early, but next best for the whole game was Souttar.
  15. Good to see you back, mate. Both cause issues. Come off your line and don't get it then it's more difficult to save if the ball falls to the opposition. Hopefully we'll bring in a keeper who can confidently deal with high balls into the box. Agreed that based on yesterday, McCrorie doesn't look like he's ready to be our number one.
  16. What a performance. Courtois prevented it being seven.
  17. On the first half form, nobody can live with Man City. They've been immense.
  18. Yes, I think (and hope) that they can. It will be tricky but at home, they should have enough.
  19. Inter were well deserved winners.
  20. He's both awful and useful. Had a good game at the weekend though. If an offer for £3m+ came in for him, I'd snap your hand off for it, but I'll not lose any sleep if we keep him as a squad player for next season.
  21. Yes, well deserved. His goal got us into the CL and he gave many match winning performances. Good luck to him in the future.
  22. Deep down, they all know that we're not. The season ticket numbers prove it. Also, if we were new, they wouldn't spend as much time trying to convince everyone (including themselves) of that as we'd be irrelevant.
  23. Between 2013-2016 their season ticket sales were between 39K-43K according to their accounts, but jumped from 39K to 48.7K in the 2016/17 season.
  24. Yeah, he's shown a real turn in form over the past few games. Hopefully it was a fitness issue and he's going to play like that consistently next season, if he's still here.
