Despite my earlier comments, I also have sympathy with this view. It's where you draw the line, and it's a bloody difficult question. A minute's silence on armistice day, a minute's silence for 9/11, a minute's applause () for a Ukraine mining accident. All allowed, and the former two do have political inferences. I'm not actually sure where the line should be drawn, but I still believe it's hypocritical for the SFA to say he's not allowed when they allow other political ones.

Yeah, the communication has got far worse, despite their assurances last summer. The current campaign has obviously raised their profile, and I thought Fraseer Martin handled himself well on Traynor's show, but I'm unaware of what else they have been up to over the past few months. MF, my guess would be that it would be over 1,000 "non-lapsed" members.
-
Of course it is, and that's why I said "I believe" but my belief is based on the information that I have.

In the pub with his phone switched off?

I admire him on his stance. It seems that he's not going to be allowed by the SFA. Hypocrites. What's the difference between wearing an arm-band for the dead in a conflict and a minutes silence for war dead?
-
I do believe he desparately wants rid of the club. It's ceased to be a benefit to him, he can't see any potential (other than the redevelopment plans which ain't going to happen any time soon due the economic crisis) and will only be a drain to him. However I don't believe that there has been anyone serious enquiring about it (yet).

Going back to JB's original post, I want Murray to be replaced by someone better than him, but not by someone worse. A bland Murray Out slogan isn't constructive and isn't offering a solution. However we desperately need something to hang our hats on as Murray's financial mismanagement of the club is just repeating what happened from 2000-2004 and there is absolutely no medium term financial planning, and it's frightening. Hopefully something will emerge sooner rather than later.
-
But by influencing Murray's willingness to sell we could have an impact on the appropriateness of who his replacement is. If he gets so pissed off with the support that he sells to the first guy who walks round the corner with plans to finance his purchase by selling of Murray Park and worries about everything else later then we are no better off than we are now (and potentially worse off).
-
It's a reaction to pundits and other fans who claim Murray was responsible for NIAR. Sure he played his part, but who's to say that it wouldn't have happened anyway. It wasn't his cash that made it anyway, despite what I have heard on the radio on several occasions over the past few days.
-
It should also be noted that Murray put no cash into the club during NIAR.
-
Balancing the books could be more important than winning the title. If we don't have enough cash to pay the wages come April, what do we do?
-
I think we stopped making our own tops a couple of years ago. Couldn't have been the great hit that they once claimed.
-
Someone will move as we need the cash to see us through to the season ticket money IMO. If they are willing to move Boyd then someone HAS to go. if they don't then it will be very interesting.
-
As far as I can see Desmond lets Lawwell get on with riunning the club. Murray has chased out the 2 previous CEOs because he wouldn't give them the autonomy. Muurray is too hands-on for his own good.
-
I presume that it's meant to provoke Murray into some positive action and from that viewpoint, I guess it doesn't do much harm and the underlying message is correct and I think most of us would agree with the areas of concern raised. It suffers from the old problem of not suggesting any solutions though. Unfortunately it was hijacked by the Assembly who had their spokesman on RR and RC last night as well as Edgar. The Assembly guy ended up just looking divisive which does our support no good at all. His message was that we support some of the points but we won't get behind the campaign because the support should be united. If the Assembly didn't want to back it, they would have been far better not to comment in any way. They have just ended up looking like they are acting for Murray again. It throws up the question of the collective responsibility of the Assembly Board.
-
Why ask for evidence then?
-
Frankie, I believe the TBO were referred to in last night's Evening Times in respect of the campaign but I saw one their leading lights not knowing anything about it. Do the TBO have a position in respect of the campaign?

Boyd? :fish:

I've seen Miller have good games this season, if that's what you mean. Perhaps you weren't at them or had a different opinion on his performance, but there have been games that the general consensus with the guys I go with and everyone sitting around me was that he played well, and got at least one MOTM (Hibs for one). I'm also sure Frankie has given him 8/10 on a few match reports. Perhaps everyone above is wrong in their assessments?
-
Even when he does play well there are still some who, under no circumstances, would give him credit for a good game.
-
It's after his injury that his form has dipped. He doesn't seem to be able to move with the same freedom as before. Could be that he's not fully fit.

I really believe that the price of the club isn't that much of an issue. There just isn't anyone out there will to take on the responsibility of financing the club in the near future. The club is inherently loss-making (because of Scottish football) and many people will be put off by that. If the club was to be run profitably then we see a drop off in quality, but that's not to say that the club couldn't be better run. There has been an attempt to raise finance from fans prior to the credit crunch to look at the fans buying the club but it wasn't that successful (ie wasn't an eight figure sum). There isn't the appetite (yet) from the fans to look at buying the club. As an aside, I wouldn't be in favour of anyone selling Murray Park to finance the club on a short-term basis.
-
Any protest is going to work better if it has answers. There aren't any at the moment, with no alternatives to Murray at the table. This will stop many of the people referred to earlier in this thread from getting involved. That's not to say a protest isn't worthwhile, just that it won't get the support from the silent non-messageboard majority.

I have been told that Fergie will be leaving on Friday. .....signing for Everton. Gersnet exclusive if true.
