None of that is publicly available info. However what I do know is that Azure was sold by Murray (for £1 IIRC) as it was a loss maker. It was bought by Elior, a French catering giant. According to the accounts, Rangers paid Azure, so you have to assume that Azure were providing the service for catering and Rangers got the income from the sales, or otherwise I don't see how it would have worked. if Azure got all the catering income then they would have been paying us. It's sound commercial sense to sub-contract the catering so that Rangers don't have the expense of having to pay the staff for one day every 2 weeks.

I'm concerned that these factors may give them an added incentive and also concerned about our tactics.

Why does my post come out with lower case letters when I type them in upper case? Bloody fascist admin.

Shame on you. I believe that the net gain would be over £3m, but usual inaccuracies from one of their journalists. It's not only football scribes that question your financial management, David. I'm sure Murray has lots of budget scenarios at the start of each season. he won'tt work with just one. Perhaps Murray does have a point about football scibes after all. Try nearer £30m. I don't believe Advocaat sanctioned any spending so it was Murray himself who should be equated to Fred ("the world's worst banker"). Sorry, but that's just bollocks. Murray's executives are there to do a job, and I'm sure they are glad that Murray spends a lot of his time on Rangers. if they can't manage their businesses without him handholding them then they shouldn't be there. It's certainly refreshing to see a journalist trying to have a constructive go. Just a shame it wasn't that good an effort.

MF, I am aware of his allegiences having argued with him both on his site (my one and only visit) and on here. I'm sure G_S and theEA will also both be aware but it's up to them whether they wish their publications to be featured on his site. FWIW, I wouldn't have my publication involved with him either if I had one.

The moral of the story is "don't read the evening Times".

He's never impressed me. They are welcome to him. Not surprised to see the usual "Real madrid" mention in the article.

The fact that it was live on TV was also blamed.

I believe all CCCS people should get a ticket as I've been told there are around 17,000 of them.

The whole Homecoming thingy seems to me to have been hijacked by the SNP for political purposes. I'm all for celebrating our Scottishness, but can't get too enthusiastic about this because of how it is being used.

We only have Aaron on loan so I doubt he will be in the team in a couple of years.

The gossip is that we have until Monday to sign players. -
Setting the Standard: Improving the Match-Day Experience
Bluedell replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Excellent points, Frankie. I know that the point was made that the stewarding issues etc only affect a small proportion of the fans but I think it's got a knock-on effect as it's these guys who are making the innovative banners and are relatively making moe noise, so if that is restricted then the atmosphere for everyone is lessened. -
They're apparently charging £12 for concessions.

The club will find it difficult to justify any increase in prices given the financial position of most of their fans. I wouldn't be surprised to see celtic coming out and decreasing their prices because they can afford to do it, but mainly to put pressure on us to follow suit, knowing we can't afford it.

If I manage to get a ticket for my son, I'll take him as he'll love to see the Milan stars.

"We are also seeing encouraging signs that our Youth Development strategy is starting to take effect and your Board and the Manager are committed to giving youth an opportunity to progress. I am hopeful that players such as Ross McCormack and Charlie Adam will feature regularly in our first team squad and join the likes of Alan Hutton, Chris Burke and others who have already progressed through the ranks." David Murray 31/8/05.

Difficult to say, but it could be a million either side of break-even?

Yes, although even if he had the cash I'm not sure that he would lend it to us, as he has tended to allow the club to stand or fall on its own, and only puts in cash when there are share issues.
