  1. Exactly. He is doing Celtic's fan's jobs for them.
  2. You still have much to learn, Grasshopper. Other than the recent rights issue when he put in cash to support the club following his own financial mismangement, when else did he put in cash? The answer is £10m at the same time as Dave King and that is all.
  3. Hopefully everyone will join/renew? If not, why not, if you don't mind me asking?
  4. Wow. Hadn't heard that. Big news.
  5. I sometimes wonder if Ally isn't the automatic replacement for Walter. Perhaps it could be Durrant?
  6. He contradicts himself. We spend big money on a 29 year old (McCulloch) but he wants to spend his cash on youngsters. He will only spend if we make a profit, but we spent in excess of £10m last summer after making a loss of over £6m. However it's good to know we will make a profit after qualifying for the CL, having at least 3 more rounds in the UEFA and selling Hutton for £9m.
  7. That man may well be on that bus. although perhaps i can't call anyone daft as it took me a few minutes to work out who you were talking about, as it wasn't him that got in touch.
  8. Which bus left "a day early" to go to Lisbon and needed to get in touch with me today to find them a hotel in San Sebastian tonight? :D Daft buggers, but I'll not say which one to save their blushes.
  9. At 4am I was bouncing from group to group in the bar, talking to them all, I think. Ended up having an argument with someone on the merits or otherwise of the song "Barbie Girl"!
  10. It's, err, the new trend......
  11. Me at the start of night: Me at the end of the night:
  12. That's only because you wouldn't slum it by coming to the back of the hall.
  13. The auction items all went for between £700-£1,300, I believe. A big shout to Satty Singh who bought Harold Davis's blazer for £2,500 with the proceeds for that going to Erskine Hospital.
  14. It was almost the Katie Melia tickets, but seemed that it was administrative cock-up and I ended up with corporate entertaining for 2 at a game. Was out-bid for the directors box seats, the Linfield package and the Graham Roberts painting. Great to meet Johnny and Ian, and it's always a pleasure to meet up with Frankie. But how the hell was the Gersnet table right at the front, whereas mine was about 12 tables further back? Great night was had by all.
  15. An over-reaction to a minority of neds at the game who have no idea about anything. walter should know that he has the support of a vast majority of the fans and the guys who boo are not regulars, but buckied-up wee arseholes.
  16. I saw her helping the cameraman when the players were lined up at the start. Not seen her up close yet.
  17. Perhaps fishy is the wrong term, but the only reason that the powers that be have brought him back is because he is an NI RC and will just appeal to the base elements of their support who are giving the club, and therefore Liewell, a hard time because their manager is not "Celtic-minded". Liewell has gone over Chesney's head as I said, and the whole thing reeks. I would imagine if it wasn't for financial reasons Strachan would walk.
  18. I just can't see that Strachan had anything to do with this appointment. If he needs a new coach, why would he turn to someone with no coaching experience? Strikes me as if Liewell has decided this one. Even the statement from Strachan reads as if it came from someone else. Why issue a statement from Strachan at all? Even Keevins last night on RC, after they had stopped discussing it made a big thing or ensuring everyone knew that he would be sitting on the bench for the game at the w/e. Obviously he had been told to say that. All very fishy.
  19. I thought Papac wasn't that great. Got caught a few times. Cuellar and McGregor obviously had great games. I thougt JCD did really well up front. His best performance for 4 months. I thought Fergie did well. His biggest problem is that there was nobody other than JCD on his wave-length. McCulloch did well in the first half, winning most headers he went up for, but contributed a lot less in the second. Agree that it was Davis's worst game for us. Perhaps not fully fit? It's all about opinions as a fat balloon on Radio Clyde would say.
  20. So who is all going from on here and sitting at the Gersnet table? I've seen from the other thread that there's Frankie, Johnnyk and Ian1964. Anyone else?
  21. No chance, mate. Despite what Frankie says, the decent wine will be flowing at our table, and I don't need put up with Frankie's patter. The hotel already has been told to get 5 bottles of 2003 Pouilly-Fume on chill ready for our table. Feel free to pop across for a glass when you get sick of the house wine.
