  1. In a bit of a different slant...... Maybe this has been mentioned, and maybe this is a bit petty, but do you think it could be possible that SDM and Smith are having a bit of a backlash against the fans due to events at the start of the season, they wernt the most favourite of people on forums at that time? Whatever way you look at it, they are both pretty well uninformed imo
  2. Good point - Lovenkrands also! He has no hunger for our team or any fight in him, his trouble is if he wants to play he can, i cant be arsed with his attitude tbh
  3. Thought id have a look at the videos on Youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18iPMbfl6-0 Dear Uefa........
  4. Thought i'd throw this link in to the BBC's pish in case anyone hadn't saw it. Note the nicely placed "Quotation" near the top in the blue box - we must be bad boys if we are asking the police what to do!! http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/glasgow_and_west/7617518.stm
  5. To all those who think we should "fight smart" - at what point to we stop singing any songs and become "neutral" or "what they want?" Months, years, decades, generations???? This is an idiotic idea i have to say - as goes with all minorities they will always find something to fight the majority over, and the mob across glasgow, and more importantly their supporters in the media will always, always find stuff to portray US as scum. They are after all living in a free society and are not being shot at and murdered on the streets of glasgow and scotland, so making out that they are hard done to is a f*cking laugh. IMO we have tried to change over such songs and changed succesfully, but this latest crap is just taking the piss. Going back to fighting smart - its time we bloody exposed the schemings of those scum across the city and supporting media to get us shut down, because if we dont we will have nothing.
  6. Ive mentioned this in the past also about Rangers tops. Was in Sau Paulo last December and there was a row of Mhanky tops laid out and advertised with all the other Nike gear in the largest sports shop in a City of 16m people. There was 2 or 3 Rangers and hearts!!! tops, however you had to do a good bit of raking to find them. They were actually in with all the previous 2 or 3 seasons tops from Europe. Even in Britain tho, JJB is not your classiest of sports shops, in fact i cant mind the last time i bothered to go in one (not that im classy). The unclean hire a world marketing guru a few months back and while we have 2 american internationals we cant capitalise or seem to have an idea of how to. Im not impressed.
  7. Pal sent me a link to this, read the bottom line, who do they think they are!!! http://celticfc.net/news/stories/news_210808134546.aspx
  8. AGREE!
  9. Dont know what anyone else feels, but do you get the impression that McCoist looks pissed off with the situation at the moment?
  10. Haha, at least you can go and get hammered guv, us poor sods have to bear it at work!
  11. This is also my opinion, and the vast majority of our fan base, it may be narrow minded to you, however having a rivalry is nothing to be frowned upon. So called "bigitory" is being removed at Ibrox, which i have stated many a time on here - having a massive, worldwide known rivalry with a club is healthy. Do Milan and Inter, River and Boca, Real Madrid and Barca all try and play down their rivalry? I think we all are football fans, but to have no local rivalries makes for a pretty dull season to look forward to and as far as commercial oppertunities go, you would be pretty limited. The thing about having ex celtic players is the obvious fact that their hearts are not in playing for Rangers, talent or no talent. I have to say tho, that i am a Rangers fan who has grown to hate celtic and all that they purvey
  12. Because 1) He played with them from the East End 2) He cannot play in any forward position, wide left usually and we have at least 3 who play there already 3) He is not "exactly what we need." We need a Central Midfielder who can roam forward. Anyway i wrote smash the spirit of the fans, and not the club - those running the club couldn't give a flying f*ck about us.
  13. IMO we should be putting across a view that the fans are effin livid about this and the reasons why he decided to leave. I know its got to be all PC and that, but im fed up with this whole fucked up situation we are in.
  14. This is a massive blessing in disguise if true. What is the management team trying to do? Smash the backbone and spirit of Rangers fans, cos he's going the right fuckin way about it. Does anyone honestly think big Carlos would have left - for Villa!!! - if we were still in with a chance of Champions league football?? I think not. Bloody Hamilton looked a better bet to win the league more than us last night as well.
  15. I ask you where you sit in the ground? This is what the shit pedalling mhedia would have you believe that we are all numbskulls still singing "sectarian" tunes. There may be the odd fan who still carries this out, but in the last few years it has decreased to nothing at all, probably the reason the atmosphere is so bad as the normal fan doesn't know what he's allowed to sing anymore. The fact that you think their "fans" have helped celtic's public image by stopping the sectarian songs is unreal. Twice last season at Parkhead for motherwell games we were getting bombarded by every IRA tune they knew Im trying to avoid the "its them not us" line here, but in reality thats almost true nowadays, and yet amazingly you still think we are the ones at fault. Its bad enough the press pursue this belief but our own supporters
  16. Quite simply not good enough
  17. Aparantly Blackpool have offered higher wages......damn, he would have been our 8th centre half and 2nd Bear-Tattie muncher-Bear;)
  18. He left Getafe at the end of the season past. Was my pick on Wednesday morning too, well respected in European football, he could entice a better standard of player you would imagine
  19. There would be a mass riot if this happened
  20. As much as he only plays when he can be bothered, when he plays he is better than anyone we have at playing the solitary striker
  21. Jol does appeal to me, but i didnt like the fact that he also bought a lot of duds and spent A LOT of money. He ultimately failed and lost the dressing room at Spurs. Plus, this is cosmetic but i dont fancy employing a reject from a team who i consider to be smaller than our own.
  22. Would back that
  23. Who i would like to see try and transform us. I have backed WS over the last season and a half, but to have a squad badly needing strengthened in important areas and to ignore this in the gamble that we will be ok and sign people we dont want or need in the face of supporters concern smells of pure arrogance for me. I for one spent almost 2K last year following us and cannot put up with this crap anymore - Go now Smith
  24. I totally loved the away games as well, great atmosphere, great banter and much excitement, but the football we have played in the last 5 years has been horribly boring and backs to the wall. There have been trophies in that time, but only because Celtic have been pretty dire too. Smiths decisions so far this season bring years of these problems to a head, we had a tremendous chance to back up our Euro run and improve the quality of our squad, go from strength to strength, but instead it is thrown back in our faces, by the pure arrogance of WS IMO. You cannot blame fans for getting angry at the current situation.
