Agree he's worth a shot. But don't forget Hemdani played CB under PLG for a time and didn't look too comfortable.

Deadline Transfer Latest: Cousin OUT; Gow OUT
alexscottislegend replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Are you sure this wasn't a joke? If so, that would mean we have had NO new signings coming in. What happened to the central defender we were said to be looking for? -
You have to feel sorry for Motherwell. It's a lot for club their size to suffer in such a short time. Do we know the cause of death?
-
It's also a golden opportunity -and with NO excuse - to play the likes of Fleck,Aaron etc. consistently to 'bed them in' to the first team. No point in risking injury to valuable regulars after the injury list we suffered last season.
-
He's become our Riordan. Two young players of potential, their careers ruined by poor attitudes.
-
Brilliant! Wish I'd thought of that.
-
I agree. But if he really does want to leave, at least we should get a decent fee now.
-
All should have a big part to play, plus Fleck who was on the bench today. a midfield five of Davis,Fergie,Mendes, Thomson and Beasley will do me. Up front it's from Miller,Cousin, Lafferty unless it's 4-4-2.
-
All Cousin has done is pay back the huge debt he owed us. I even felt sorry for him at the sending off as his challenge was innocuous. Must admit though if he's still here after the window I won't be upset now. Maybe it's Velicka and JCD who should be off-loaded; either way it's a real dilemma now.
-
Kenny was just trying to ensure he didn't have a Van Vossen moment.
-
My mistake then. But I do know that a country's co-efficient is crucial Ukraine are breathing down our necks. We really need England to beat them for Gers' sake!
-
But you're forgetting that a poor CL show from the Tims affects us too inasmuch as Scotland could lose its automatic CL place. Do you want us to negotiate 2 difficult qualifying games even if we win the SPL just because you don't want the tims to prosper - short-sighted if I may say so.
-
Reynolds has a bit of pace. I think he and Captain Kirk could fight it out for the other CB slot - oh, and he's left-sided which complements Bougherra well.

Wheres The Masons In The Black?
alexscottislegend replied to CammyF's topic in Rangers Chat
Spot on with that, ecosse. Though I think 3-1 is a tad optimistic. I'd settle for 1-0 in the last minute, so they will know how it feels. Think it's 14 times they've won games in the last 5 now? -
No, but they certainly care about money. And there will be precious little of that if we fail to get into the CL regularly. See my post on the football thread.....
-
You won't like this, but you should be PRAYIN C****c do well. Why? Because if they flop it puts Scotland's automatic place in the CL at risk. If we have to face 2 qualifiers again, with no money to bring the team up to CL standard, then I for one am not confident we could make the group stages. Remember also, a country's ranking dhelps determine CL rankings, so Ukraine could threaten Scotlands score if they do well in the World Cup v England.

Some of Walter's recent team selections are similarly cryptic!
-
That's a slap in the face for those who say moving to the SPL could harm your international chances. All the more credit to Pedro who knew he wouldn't be playing Champions League football yet still came.
-
Though they ultimately lost, they put the gers efforts to shame.

Hope you're right with regard to the 'media landscape' changing thanks to our intervention. By the same token, do you think the RFC management team read this forum? Would be nice to think so, but going by recent team selections, perhaps not!
-
I also remember a rumour about him and Pat Crerand's sister which didn't go down too well with the establishment at Ibrox.
-
Just on a couple of occasions as I recall. But my point was that there is almost a 'tradition' of giving stick to players who are not 'marquee' signings but have been youth players. Hope that's not why Fleck and Furman have been held in check.
-
Naughty! Don't joke like that. Actually, can anyone remember Pat Jennings scoring from his own area, or is my memory starting to go?
-
Glad to see someone sticking up for Broadfoot. The stick he's taken - especially on the 606 forum - is shameful. People forget he's out of position at RB and has done a decent job IMO at CB. something about the RB spot and gers fans - think Mo Ross,Hutton, Bob Malcolm - some don't seem to like it if we play a youth from our ranks. Hutton had to show great strength of character to survive and I think Broadfoot will prosper once he remembers he's not Beckenbaur.
