  1. Enough is enough. He's here and he'll do as good a job as Darche, if not better because he's fitter. I didn't want him here and I've ranted elsewhere on this forum about the state of our "scouting network" but I'll be singing "One Kenny Miller" come the first home game of the season. Anyone who finds that goes against the grain can fuck off out of Ibrox as far as I'm concerned.
  2. Well then it's time for us to dry our eyes and get behind him. I reckon he'll do a job for us. Darche is a poor finisher and we all love him. Kenny is a fitter, Scottish version. Cousin is a lazy cunt. Miller is essentially the perfect foil for Boyd. I hope..... WATP!
  3. Yeah looks good, but usually training kit with the crest central.
  4. I have a bad feeling this will prove to be true. Disgusting.
  5. I'll tell you what, if the Miller deal "hitting a snag" is BS so he can be unvieled with another more palatable signing, it had better not be pedro lovenpants. 2 sprinters with shite first touches are not better than one. Give me Beasley any day over PL. HE WAS PISH AND STILL IS!!!!!!!!!!!
  6. yeah I'd prefer him to Reynolds but I'd rather have neither:(
  7. Here's something from the herald this morning: Meanwhile, Rangers have been told that they will need to bid at least £2m if they are to have any chance of signing Christophe Berra. The Ibrox club have reportedly bid £1m for the Hearts captain, £500,000 less than the £1.5m offer Wolves had turned down last week. Vladimir Romanov, the Hearts owner, will only allow interested clubs to speak to the 23 year-old defender if they meet Hearts' £2m valuation of the player. Berra is currently on holiday and has put all discussions about his future on hold until he returns later this month. Sounds realistic to me. Decent player IMO. Personally would prefer him to Reynolds. Do we take it from these stories that Webster and A N other young Scot will be vying for the position beside Carlos? No big name centre half for us....
  8. OK point taken about Bain. He's merely releasing funds. I was simply referring to his statement that " we know the quality the Rangers fans want to see". Perhaps telling the club to stick Kenny Miller up their arse was not a clear enough indication of the level of quality we don't want to see. Yes, the blame lies squarely with Walter. And guess what? Kenny is going to be a first team pick next season cos he's one of Walter's favourites.
  9. Come on Gribz, his "mother is not a football fan and not one one for making up stories". lol. Chimbonda? TBH I thought we should have got him as part of the Hutton deal. Better than the full backs we have, unless Smith recovers fully.
  10. Where's yer quality Martin Bain?
  11. Sound move. But no more long balls Davie. Please.:uzi:
  12. OK so the papers are so fucking boring and depressing I thought, since it's the silly season and we're all missing a bit of quality sillyness, I'd bring these two gems from the skysports papertalk forum to the gersnetter's attention. Enjoy.... Aldo Macdee (Rangers fan) says... my mother works at ibrox stadium in the catering dept. she says her boss told her 2 french internationals to come to ibrox this summer (thierry henry possibly ?!?!?!), her boss also adamant that ronaldo will leave man united this summer, his eventual destination will be back in premiership within 1 year. my mother is not a football fan and not one for making up stories. And.... Blair Hartley (Rangers fan) says... My best mate's father is on the board at Ibrox and has been for 12 years, he has assured me that Thierry Henry is coming to Ibrox, with Cuellar and Alan MacGregor going in the opposite direction. Henry will only be at Ibrox until Christmas, before being sold to Chelsea for £17 million. It will be made to look like Rangers cashed in and Henry had little say in the matter, he didn't want to upset the Arsenal fans. Barcelona see Cuellar as the perfect partner for Puyol. Senational. Is Willie McKay Henry's agent? ......... I'd rather keep the King anyday:flipa:
  13. Eh, what??? No wonder you resigned Frankie. What a fucking embarassment. Boycott Scotland games? We take pride in being the team that supports Scotland!!!! At the time I was bang up for boycotting certain away games, particularly dundee utd, but come on let's move on. It's a shame the RST has fallen from grace like this. Yes we were done over last season but the only way we can get it up the rest of the SPL is by beating the lot of them soundly on the park. A real scouting network, proper youth development and some serious investment in a very small number of quality first team players is what's required. Tha's what the trust should be banging the drum for. As a passionate fan who invests both emotionally and financially in my team, I'm feeling extremely misrepresented here.
  14. Fuckin pish! I'm on 38. Joke site!!!!
  15. I can see the issue of youth development was raised, and rightly so, but it's the scouting network, first team included, that needs revamped.
  16. Why So Many Capital Letters?
  17. Thanks for the appreciation mate. I reckon your spot on about the various supporters groups needing to get something done about this. If we really have any ambition of getting to a decent level on the park, then youth is the only way forward. With the facilities we have to offer, we should be right up there with Ajax and Arsenal in terms of developing boys from all over the world. Some will say that we have a great crop about to come through but fleck is a rare gem and Efrem, the other lad who looks a bit special came from guess where? Arsenal. He didn't make the grade there and Ewan the Super (only) Scout picked him up. Casting the net far and wide as per. Frankie if you've not fallen oot wi them too badly can you perhaps give the RST chaps a wee nudge on this?
  18. As I've said before, we do not have a scouting "network" to speak of. For a team in our position in a European sense, it's nothing short of criminal. We could easily be taking the very best young players from all the scandinavian countries, great players from Africa and even great players from Eastern Europe and South America. SDM is so short sighted that this avenue has long been ignored due to the fact it costs money in the short term to fund a true "network" of scouts, i.e guys all over the world giving us a heads up on players. Our scouting network consists of Willie Mckay telling us who we could make a few quid on, Ewan Chester watching the EPL and the Championship for over-priced players, and of course picking the SPL cherries, of which there are none this year, unless you count Ross Mcormack. Are we linked with him? Are we fuck. The tims are. We're getting Mark Reynolds and Kenny Fucking Miller, as he has long been known to me. Granted we need to be patient and no doubt we will get one or two players we're reasonably happy about, but the "scouting" at Rangers has long been a gripe of mine.
  19. skysports today: "We've had early discussions with Rangers and talks are ongoing," Pearson told BBC Scotland. "But there has been no asking price either set or met." He's coming.
  20. That is a nice touch indeed. Class. SEEEEEEEEBOOOOOOOOOO!!!!:box:
  21. That's awful. No wonder he's been off form. Don't think i'd care too much about a game if I was in his situation. Best wishes to Scott and his family.
