    Most decent restaurants are in full "Xmas special menu" mode by the 6th December, meaning busy restaurants with overpriced menus. Any restaurant not busy or overpriced at this time of year probably isn't up to much. I would suggest December is left out, with a replacement date of either sometime oct-nov or in the new year.

    You are right, I thought Boli was the man to take us towards the Champions League title, and while when they signed I knew of Laudrup and was hopeful that he was going to be good, (nobody thought he was going to turn out THAT good), I thought the signing of Boli was an incredible catch for us. I still cannot believe to this day that Smith played one of Europe's best centre backs at right back at Easter Road. Can't remember who played CB that day, but playing Boli at RB had us all totally stunned, and was probably when Boli decided enough was enough.

    Got to agree with Bluedell, I dont think it is anywhere near close. While Cooper was a fantastic player on his day, his days were not as often as they should have been. He wasn't helped by playing a large chunk of his Rangers career in a poor side that didn't have a realistic title chance, but too many games just went by him.

    Laudrup was quite simply the best Rangers player I have ever seen in my time going to watch Rangers, which now spans 28 years. It is not even a question I have to think about when asked, I always reply immediately without hesitation. We have been fortunate to have a lot of good players in the last 30 years or so, and honourable mentions go to guys like Gough, Gazza, McCoist, Goram, R de Boer, are probably my next 5, but for me King Brian is by far the best I have ever seen. His movement, pace, trickery, finishing, and even heading (Tannadice) were all sublime and an absolute joy to watch. Has 20 years gone by already since he signed? Hard to believe!

    I think if King bought 3%, and went round the other larger shareholders with a proper plan (which we are all assuming he has got!), it shows to the fans and investors that he is serious and not just another Blue Knights job with plenty of bluster but not inclination to spend any money to get power. I have no doubt he has the money and wants to get involved, but I think he keeps making bad decisions about how to go about it. I would much rather have him than the current lot for sure, but he has a long way to go to convince us he has a good plan.

    It is becoming increasingly clear that this is the wrong tactic, that is why I mention it now. This has also been told to King several times by the fans groups/advisors he has been working with in recent weeks but he remains defiant in his stance. He is of course entitled to hold course, but we as fans are getting more exasberated by the lack of movement from him as time passes. He has really missed a couple of great opportunities to make advances, which is deeply disappointing.

    I'm sorry but I dont agree. The current shareholders that hold power do not care a jot about the wishes of the fans. Only an outright boycott of all our matches, merchandise etc by ALL fans would force them to do something, and as we all know Rangers fans dont do anything unanimously!

    I dont see that that is any different to ours TBH from a design POV. I'm guessing that those are Malaga's traditional colours and style as I dont follow Malaga, but the price is even more ridiculous than ours. Are Malaga even top-tier in La Liga? 75EUR for a diddy team's top. They wont sell many outside of Malaga i'm quite sure.

    In the picture of Law, it just looks like another fairly dull typical Rangers top. A "safe" design I would call it. I dont buy them so I dont care about heat transfer tapes and other such marketing bollocks terms that, lets face it, are only there to justify an outrageously high selling price. Does it look like a Rangers top? Yes it does IMO, so job done. I dont really think there are fans out there that usually buy a Rangers top that would not buy it if the design didn't have heat transfer tapes, or because it has a silly collar etc. You buy a Rangers top to wear to Rangers games (and other football use), end of. ps I dont count those that buy it to wear going their shopping, out for a walk, to work, or to follow the OO parade, those people are just sad!

    Sorry but I dont agree with that at all. Firstly the ST plan failed because King didn't back up the initial fanfare with either a detailed plan (to get fans onboard) or action (buying a token 3% shareholding for starters). He left it to a few people (fans) in Glasgow to get it all sorted and F*d off back to SA. Those close to it all were pretty pissed off at his attitude throughout it. Secondly I think that we could have 100,000 at this march tomorrow and it would not cause even a second of worry to the current real powermen at the club. They know nothing can happen to them without some buying shares, and the only viable opposition to them is insistent that he isn't for buying the existing shares.

    While I am generally supportive of the cause, I dont see this as being very successful. A march to Ibrox in the middle of pre-season when nobody is there might generate a few headlines, but it also has the ability to be a damp squib if they dont get the numbers. In any event it won't put the slightest bit of pressure onto the board/shareholders to deviate from their current course (towards the rocks!), as they quite frankly dont gets a rats arse about the feelings of the fans that support this club. The only way to get rid of these shareholders is to buy them out. I am certain there is no other way this is going to end well for us. Anyway, good luck to those involved. Anyone want to hazard a guess at the number attending. Would 1000 be a good turnout? Late edit: I am somewhat surprised to see them getting ex-players to back it and get some media exposure today. that should boost the numbers.

    As i wont be attending any Scotland games it doesn't matter too much to me what they charge, but I doubt single ticket prices for each of the games included will end up being dearer than the package. Surely they wont be able to charge more than £15 to watch Gibralter if they want any sort of attendance to back the team towards challenging for second place (which I am assuming is a qualification/play-off position). I can't believe Scotland will sell anywhere like 20K ST, so those who dont want/cant afford to buy a ST are hardly likely to be losing out on going to the match if they so desire.

    I must admit that I think this is a foolish idea. I first heard about this decision a couple of weeks before Sandy died, and I thought it was wrong then, and remains wrong now. The board knew Sandy had very little time left and wanted to announce it and do it towards the end of the season but with all the off-field stuff it was thought that it would be seen as a distraction or a PR stunt and therefore waited to do it in the new season. While Jardine really stepped up to the plate since we were placed into administration, and worked tirelessly (with McCoist) through that period fighting everyone to keep our club safe, his many years as a club employee (non-playing) were not seen as being very successful by those who knew about the work being done in this area by him. I dont want to go into this in great detail for obvious reasons, so I will leave it at that. Naming a stand in his honour is wrong. I could understand doing it for Bill Struth, who is the real Greatest Ever Ranger by a country mile in my book. I could understand honouring our Gallant Pioneers in a similar fashion, but there are just too many great players who have given good service over our history to start naming stands after them. Is Jardine deserving of this over Waddell, Greig, McPhail to name only three? Not in my book but I am sure a few others will disagree. I have often advocated the idea of naming our sections with the stadium after our great players. So instead of BF1 you have the Jardine section. Replicate that for other great players and you have plenty of sections within the stadium available for naming purposes. It should only be for those Hall of Fame recipients who were truly the best of the best. In my view, the HoF has been bastardised into a commercial event with many players being inducted in recent years that simply were not good enough to belong in there. I would be keeping the naming of stands for commercial gain on 5 year contracts, the Vodafone Govan stand for example. Nobody would bother about that and it would give the club some much-needed revenue. Anyway, strayed a bit OT there but they are all related (sort-of!). Back to work now!

    Not too bothered where it is TBH. The Malaga was nice last time, I think there is a lack of alternatives in the Ibrox vicinity for a post-match meet. Every time I vote I lose anyway, so I will happily go with the consensus. I would like to think we can get more numbers than last time though.

    Good to see that at least he recognises and knows his form was not good enough in the second half of last season after an impressive first few months. A good player who will hopefully have a good season ahead. Also some good soundbites from him about the desire and attitude of Boyd, Miller & Durrant. As it should be.

    I agree with T4C. From the commentary surrounding the clip, it would appear she knew fine well she could slip in the appeal without fear of being forced to provide evidence from the approving panel, and without any knowledge or evidence of such an unlikely event.

    There isn't. We have so many cliques, groups, forums, all pulling in different directions that the above is an impossibility. The anonymity of the internet ensures this. I have been present at many mass meetings of RSC leaders over the last few years, including chairing a couple, and by and large most Bears when you get them into a room will debate and not be too far away in their thoughts. We can and have enabled a concerted effort from the RSC's which ripple out to the rest of the match-going supporters on a number of issues, from "sectarian" singing to the march to Hampden and mostly all been on the same page. Take the debate online and you need a book full of pages to encapsulate opinion. The only way to unite the Rangers fans is to shut down (or ignore) all the forums and only have public meetings for match-going supporters. The blow-hards who cause all the rumpus online don't ever turn up and shout at public meetings, nor do you ever see them at games. This is clearly unfair on the many thousands of overseas and unfortunate Bears who cannot attend and perhaps support the club by buying online subscriptions to watch the games, but it is what needs to happen IF we want a unified supporters action group. In my opinion that has absolutely no chance of happening, and neither do we have any chance of uniting our support. Ever.

    Well he should have walked out then. BBC are well known for these antics. He would have been well within his rights to ask WTF is a rabid scum fan doing on a piece about Rangers and the tax man. She is no lawyer or tax expert, she is a biased piece of excrement, and he should have left them to their one-sided typical BBC Scotland Rangers story. BTW, I never knew it was on and I havent watched it, nor would I have even if i knew it was on, given BBC's record in these events. Safe to say I wont be watching it back.
