  1. well you know what they say, third time lucky!
  2. McGregor has made the odd flap but his performances this season have saved us more often than not this season so i dont know how you can critisise him. As for the right back position im quite happy for lowing to be backup to hutton. Ive seen the boy in the reserves and he has impressed. theres another stevie smith in the making there. Up front sebo is not the answer. Ive seen enough to know hes not going to make it and the sooner we get rid the better. Players like sionko and buffel can go too. these guys flatter to decieve at the best of times and are a luxury we cant afford. Boyd needs better service. The last two games couldnt have highlighted it more. We enjoy a lot of possesion but the final delivery is substandard. This is the area that needs bolstered and the sooner the better. Ill be looking at burke in particular to start earning the extra cash hes just earned. this is another guy who has the ability but can flatter to decieve as well and its time he stood up to be counted.
  3. shes my second one as well!

    Chris Burke

i havent been impressed with him at all this season given his injuries and lack of form and seriously doubt he is worth 13,000 a week. i would have let him go.
  5. wife booked a suprise trip away to london this weekend so i gave my book away to my brother for the hearts game. was due to fly out today but woke up the morning to find out both my kids had chicken pox! now we arent going as ther baby sitter ran a mile when she heard the news and my brother has dissapeared off the face of the earth when i told him i wanted my ticket back. not a good day so far.
  6. no i dont think they have. you get points for a win and a draw but as they havent played feyernord they wont accumulate any points.
  7. think its the first time weve actually made money on a player in years, which says something about the quality of player weve been bringing in.
  8. I dont think septic are that far in front, its more that we are behind them. that may well sound stupid but septic are a very average team. there is nothing great about them. though that statement says a lot about us considering how many points we are behind them. A half decent team would catch them no bother. Unfortunately we dont seem to have one at the minute.
  9. I dont expect Walter to build us a wonder team cammy, but i do expect him to get us back on track as far as the league is concerned. my expectation levels for Rangers have frittered away to nothing so I will forget about europe and concentrate on the spl. I cant see walter staying in the hotseat for more than three years. after that i expect him to take on a director of football position with McCoist as manager if everything goes according to plan. As far as the quality of football goes dont expect any moonbeams over the remainder of the season. Our victory over Dunfermline or rather the nature of it will probably be the the way most of our games go from now to May. winning ugly is going to be a phrase you hear quite alot from now on, but i dont mind that at all as long as we secure second spot.
  10. dont think any of them were going to get a look in this season but dont blame walter. PLG had ample opertunity to try them out but never bothered his arse.
  11. Bain has been virtually non existent since the story in the media about his financial dealings when he was buying a house in france. He also left a sour tatse in the hibs boards mouths when we signed murray. This in turn led to us losing out on riordan due to the fact that they didnt want to do business with us and by the looks of it brown as well. Murray would do well to rid us of this hinderance.
  12. rodreigez was hardly an option for us in defence. even leguen knew that he was utter shite. I do wonder why we havent delved into the reserve squad and given someone a chance at the big time. Dont think they could have done any worse than svensen and co.
  13. problem is there arent that many great defenders knocking about at the minute. Our options are really limited in that department.
  14. I doubt other managers will be so aprehensive about taking the job now walter has straightened the place out. walter owes the sfa nothing. And it wasnt that long ago David Taylor refused to be drawn into discussions about Walters future. Hardly giving your manager a vote of confidence is it considering walter saved his arse after the fiasco that was Berti voghts.
  15. hell i would have paid that prick to leave!
  16. Murray isnt in a position to pennypinch right now. But at the same time smith has to buy wisely too. we cannot afford to squander money the way leguen did. But im confident that WS wil get it right. if he can steady the ship and secure second spot i will be delighted.
  17. Never beat Dundee Utd 1-0 that season. feb 9th rangers beat St Mirren 1-0 at Ibrox with the one and only Ally Mccoist scoring the goal. good, i can take my anorak of now!
  18. Craig you can only go on what PLG said as far as ferguson is concerned so we dont really know the truth. people are being very quick to judge him on PLGs passing remarks and it isnt really fair. If he was such a disruptive influence for so long then why did PLG play him?
  19. Leguens problems were down to a goalkeeper who couldnt keep goal and a central defence that couldnt head a ball out of the box. Real schoolboy stuff .we were actually playing alright at the start of the season but the side were continually undermined by our defensive problems which leguen failed to rectify.
  20. according to leguen no compensation was paid as he "quit himself".
  21. So it was boyd and fergusons fault all along eh? The foreign section at Ibrox all managed to cope pretty well with the home grown players before leguen turned up so why did they kick off now? no mention of the poor quality players he brough in and no mention of the 4231 formation that failed miserably. Didnt explain either why he was outwitted on the park tactically by almost every manager in the SPL. was this down to Fergie and boyd too? PLG points the finger at everyone else but himself and has the bare faced cheek to blame the scottish players for the poor quality of his own buys. Hes having a bloody laugh! And as for the games he quoted , I was at one and watched the other on Tv. If it wasnt for ferguson going to get the ball we wouldnt have gotten over the half way line as there wasnt anyone caple of seeing a pass in defence never mind make one. PLG is painting himself out as a real innocent here and i for one am not swallowing that for a minute. hes the one carrying the can and hes the one to blame.
  22. One link doesnt work and hemdani tells us next to nothing other than there was a split in the dressing room and that no one told him training was cancelled last wednesday. And i would love answers to the posers i set im my last post. Then and only then will i listen to what leguen has to say.
  23. I havent read the article but i doubt if he mentioned 1 his shite tactics 2 his shite formation (4 2 3 1 or what ever the fuck it was!) 3 his shite man management 4 being outwitted by every manager in the bottom half of the league 5 being completely out of his depth 6 totally underestimating the SPL 7 totally over estimating the squad he inherited 8 that all his summer buys were duds Before PLG starts to point the finger at anyone he should have a right good look at himself and the part he played in his own demise at Ibrox. He may think his reputation is intact at the moment but i doubt hell be so arrogant and big headed the next time he touts his arse around europe looking for a job.
  24. The defence is a mojor problem. we need another two centre halfs by the end of the transfer window. Leguen has left us in a plie of shit. the squad he has left is an absolute joke. he kept far too many players from Mcleishes squad and managed to bring in an even bigger pile of shit on top of that. We need about ten players in and the same amount out. dont hold your breath though
  25. said the very same thing in a post on thursday. listened to the phone ins on wedenesday and a caller predicted that not only leguen would be out the door by the end of thursday night he also claimed that mccoist and smith would be replacing him. Took it with a pinch of salt at the time but he was spot on. read in the sunday tabloids about a month ago that leguen was angling for a way out and i was very suprised to read in a rag yesterday that a reporter followed plg home after his meeting With SDM and rang his door bell and when PLG answered his cases were already lying at the door. What made me very suspiscious was the speed that McCoist was at charlotte square after leguen announced he was leaving. he was there in minutes! as for our delvings in the transfer market these things usually happen over a couple of weeks but webster was signed the next day. I doubt if Leguen had ever heard of webster never mind seen him play! gow too has suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Someoneelse was pulling the strings there methinks. i believe that leguens ticket was up when SDM had to go to the dressing room and speak to the players which meant going over Leguens head and for a man with such high principles im suprised he never walked then. as for fergiegate, it was nothing more than a parting shot from the outwardbound , a get out of jail free card for the arrogant git.
