Weve had ample time to add to the squad but for some reason havent. If we had money to spend in the first place then why was there no forward planning in the run up to the season. Players should have been identified as targets and been purchased for the start of the new season but at the moment we havent even been linked to three players never mind buy them. Why is that? after all the positive vibes that came out of ibrox After the meeting between the board and the bank are we still sitting in limbo wondering what the hell is going on? Dont have to sell players? we have money to spend? Bring in four to five players? What is our game plan for next season? In fact what was the game plan for the close season. Are we to believe that Walter smith is so niave that he hadnt identified players that he would have liked to sign in time for the start of training this summer? The silence is deafening as far as the transfer market is concerned. So far weve tabled one firm offer for a player who reject a deal. Other than that nothing. Hardly the actions of a club with "money to spend". Half truths and downright lies from our board. Only today we learn that boyds offer as stated by mr bain in a national tabloid during the week was never made in writing and had to be verified by the bank. We cant exect answers to our questions anymore. We cant believe a word that comes out from our boardroom. Our chairman lives on the other side of the atlantic whilst our owner hides behind the lot pulling the strings in his bolt hole. Mixed messages from our manager too. The bank runs the club, the bank dont run the club. We need to sell players. We dont need to sell players. We dont have money to spend. we have money to spend. Ive read the odd quote about lean years and all form the great Bill Struth over the last few days and how we will stand firm but these words are wearing thin as our does our patience. Our loyalty is the one thing that has saved our club so far but our board continue to pull the wool over our eyes and treat us with distain and contempt. Our loyalty is the only asset the club has at the moment. And the boardroom should tread carefully form now on. They can fool the fans some of the time but they wont fool them all the time. Which from where im sitting is exaclty what they are trying to do.

all the fans want is some honesty from the board and our manager. we were led to believe that our financial position had improved albeit everso slighly but it is plain to see that this isnt the case. Im bewildered to why the media are oblivious to the mixed messages comming from our club, especially our manager. he laeds a very charmed life where they are concerned.

so much for not having to sell any players. The club have bullshitted the fans in order to sell season books and should be taken to task.

im sick of the bs comming out of ibrox. at the end of last season we were told that we would have money to spend and we wouldnt have to sell any players. i was informed the day before thompson was sold that thompson, wilson and mcgregor would be sold with bougherra leaving at xmas. two out of the four so far have come true. ill also wager that the sum total of any players comming in will not exceed the the value of those going out the door.

pick any three pub teams from europe and we will still get horsed under smith. he has been and allways will be out of his depth in Europe. he hasnt got a clue.

that is exactly what i expect to happen. The boardroom and the manager made all the right noises when it came to season book renewal time with regards to our finances and new faces comming in but we are as much in the myre as we were last season if the truth be told. At best we may get one or two token players but if this is the case i very much doubt they will be anything to shout about.

last month it was 4 or 5 players now its down to 2 or 3. smith should make his bloody mind up.

novo left as he was only being offered a 1 year deal whilst boyd knocked back 50 grand a week in turkey to sign for middlesbourgh. I would speculate that thompson was activley "helped" out the door by messers bain ans co at the first sign of a chequebook being opened in the boardrooms direction. So much for the 4 or 5 player smith would be bringing in! It will be the Rangers reserves next season!

Unirea managed to compete well enough on a fraction of smith budget. smith is out of his depth in europe.

seen wylde come on last season for the last ten minutes against Aberdeen and he did very well only to dissapear into the abyss. Fleck too was starting to look the part only to be dropped like a stone. Walter Smith given the statements hes been making about the lack of funds available over the last couple of seasons should have recognised the fact that he would at some point have to use the younger members of the squad and blooded them in. hes had ample oppertunity to do so but chose not to. Fleck and little in particular could have been used far more often than they were but our manager failed to take the oppertunity. I dont trust walter smith when it comes to bringing in players through the ranks. His record in that department is diplorable.
