  1. Failing in Europe during the nine in a row years has been pivotal in our decline. For all the big names that came through our door we failed miserably on the one stage were you could recoup your money. A huge financial gamble by murray that never paid off and will haunt us for years to come. Walter Smith has been seriously out of his depth but murray should have been smart enough to recognise that instead of giving him a blank cheque book. Gross misgudgement on his part.
  2. told them they could give him a bj right after they shoot up!
  3. little Fleck etc will never get any better sitting on the bench. until they get a run of games to prove their worth they will always be prospects and nothing else. and if they think that they wil get that chance under Walter smith then they can obviously see pigs flying by as they look out their windows.
  4. assuming that the deal is infact done, could the parties be waiting till septic announce their new manager officially before breaking the news? that thought had crossed my mind.

  6. came on at half time against hearts and totally turned the game when we were dying on our arses. boyd scored a last gasp penalty to seal the points. then got dropped like a stone in true walter smith fashion. Defies belief that we spent so much time effort and money on rehabilitating him. Never got a real chance under walter smith and was totally wasted. norwich have got a real bargain and if he is given a decent run in the first eleven i fully expect him to get back to his best. to think that the likes of lafferty and whiitaker could play so shit and still get a game while others were left to rot makes my blood boil.
  7. anyway, a question for those in the know. when exactly is ellis going to announce that he has bought the club?
  8. picked and chose what games he wanted to play in. i hope we sell him and he breaks his neck in WC.
  9. and why the hell he persevered with karl svensson as a centre half? that was is biggest mistake.
  10. AJ says there has been no contact with Ellis though it is AJs remit to find a buyer and Ellis is quoted as saying he has been in talks with murray. nothing is adding up. Smoke and mirrors on a gigantic scale from our outward bound chairman.
  11. I think we can forget about Europe over the next couple of seasons mate, well be far too busy trying to keep the club afloat.
  12. I dont think any body knows whats going on in the boardroom mate and worse still there isnt anyone in the boardroom who is in a position to help the club out of the myre its in. They have no answers to the questions you pose. Everyone is sitting around twiddling their thumbs waiting for the new owner with a bag of cash to come and save the day. I dont believe that this is going to happen though. ellis's bid is gathering dust and im of the thinking that if he was a serious contender he would have made a move by now. I think its a safe bet to kick him into touch. There is only one saviour for the club. We the fans who put their good hard earned cash into the club at the turnstiles. We will be the ones who keep the club afloat, albeit on its knees over the comming years. It is we the fans who will pay for the diabolical mismanagement of the club under David murray. If anybody thought that the last ten years was a real test of your loyalty to the club then the next ten are going to take you to the brink of oblivion. it wont be about success winning leagues and cups it will be about making it through the season and hoping we still have a club at the end. Its felt like a rollercoaster ride since our financial debacle came to light but the truth is we were only on the kiddies ride. were on the big dipper now and the cars have just pulled up to the top of the of the first dip and its a long long way down before we get back up the other side. Very dark days ahead indeed.
  13. the media no absolutely nothing frankie anfd they have proved this with the cock & bull stories over the last two years. today is no different. same bs with no foundation. The club and the bank have had a meeting organised for a few weeks now and it was common knowledge as A johnston told us so. everything else is speculation.
  14. A job at the retard or the evening tims abeckons!
  15. Fleck, little and wylde all come to mind. They will have to be played next season and i dont mind that one bit.
  16. all the player speculation will change if a new buyer comes in. this seems to be a worse case scenario to me.
  17. smith defended well enough but his distribution was poor. Im fed up asking questions about naismith and laffertys performances, i just accept that walter can see something nobody else can. One of the best games ive attended in years. Our support was outstanding. Will be with me for one time to come.
  18. Hes got 33 mill together to buy the club and you dont spend that sort of money then not invest in it. Defies logic. If he doesnt have the ambition to take the club forward then why the hell would he (and his two backers) buy the club? Weve waited long enough for a mega rich Rangers supporter to come and save us but hes not comming. Ellis is the only one who came to the party and if he doesnt buy it ifear no one will and well be left at the mercy of the bank. Ill give the guy ago on that alone. That is the peril were in.
  19. good bit of pr announcing it right before the old firm game. hope to god this goes through. I cant taking the media b/shit speculation anymore.
  20. injuries ruined his career. but i am astounded that he was given very little chance to prove himself given the amount of time and money spent rehabilitating him. that just doesnt add up.
  21. Im suprised those in the boardroom havent actually taken this route themelves. seems the logical thing to do.
  22. So far all we have had is continual bullshit from the media due to the fact that they know F all. I dont want snippets of information either from those in the know. What i want is for someone to comeout (no jokes please!) and say ive bought the club. untill then i will treat all the speculation and scaremoungering with the credit it deserves.
  23. I would love to know if they print that in their news paper.
  24. My son is intellegent enough to know good and bad football calscot. I take him in the hope that he will become a Ranger for life. walter Smith isnt doing me any favours in that department. And its the repeated exposure to negative football that is turning him off Rangers, not me. I encourage him at every oppertunity to support Rangers but the end product continually lets me down.
