I haven't read the thread you're referring to mate. On that note, I'd suggest that nobody here posts any links to threads (related to this) on other forums, thanks!

Look please mate, don't get us involved in any inter-forum or inter-group spats or rivalries because you know what the score is here on Gersnet and you've read our recent reminders. We can all have our disagreements and arguments, but it would be sensible of us all here if we refrained from accusations or any similar nonsense.

Don't forget to post your predictions for the Alloa game on Saturday any time between now and kick-off. Do it here - Predictions for Rangers v Alloa Athletic - SPFL Championship match 13 (GPL game 21) -
I'm feverish with excitement to hear what they decide.

That's right, they made Green a personalised scarf and presented it at an Elgin game. Definitely very similar, although I wouldn't like to think what Johnston's would charge for one if you requested it because a plain single colour cashmere scarf is £90 in their shop.

Further £1m loan from Ashley (and club blames fans)

That would just be silly and petty though because any official group of fans like the Trust who are shareholders and run a fan ownership mechanism should be permitted dialogue with the club. Then there's the matter of one of the Trust's board providing the Club with a £1m loan facility earlier this year.

Further £1m loan from Ashley (and club blames fans)
Zappa replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Stating the obvious here, but when they wrote: "The Directors have begun a cost cutting exercise, but further working capital in addition to the Facility will be needed before the end of the year" They're talking about end of December. -
Thought the same myself last night. As a spokesman, he can't now legitimately be tagged as 'unelected'.

Further £1m loan from Ashley (and club blames fans)
Zappa replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
For me the most important thing in that statement is given the timing and the fact that it's being made available before the end of the month, it looks like this extra £1m loan is going to at least partly be used to help pay November's bills because not enough is left of the recent £2m loan from Ashley to cover this month's bills. That assumption is arguably backed up by them also saying: "The Directors have begun a cost cutting exercise, but further working capital in addition to the Facility will be needed before the end of the year" -
Certainly an interesting move!

How they manage to keep trotting out this sort of drivel is beyond belief.

Courteous or not, given the state of his own company financially, it seems as though Paul Shackleton and his associates at Daniel Stewart are probably only interested in having the Rangers business (ie: money coming in) and the Rangers name on their portfolio, but perhaps not so interested in properly answering the questions of shareholders.

As govan_derriere has just highlighted Greg, answers are in short supply no matter who you contact.

The bottom line is that we don't know exactly what happened, so it probably isn't wise to comment too much further until we DO know. That said, when the Easdale brothers come to Ibrox, they would need to be thick if they didn't actually EXPECT to get some verbal from one or two of the numerous disgruntled fans because it's glaringly obvious that it's highly likely to happen given the shitty circumstances at the Club. Some of our fans are getting their knickers in a twist because Sandy Easdale's 14 year old son was present at the time, but whether or not that was really an issue is still unknown because we don't know what was said or exactly what happened. What we do know is that the majority of 14 year old boys watch violent films, play violent computer games, dabble in smoking, drinking & worse. Most boys at that age also use foul language, get into fights at school and get up to all sorts of nonsense. Finally, I'm not condoning anything at all or the actions of folk who might be idiots, I'm just trying to be rational and offer my own perspective on it just like everyone else who's commented here.

While I completely agree with you TB, I also think there's an element of risk involved because if Strachan & co at the Scotland camp ended up thinking we're messing them about, then it could potentially hamper the lad's chances of further call-ups in the near future.

Just a quick heads-up for anyone who's interested to let you know that Gersnet's 3rd double page column in WATP magazine will be in Issue 7 which comes out at some point over the next week and I think it might even be available at the Alloa game on Saturday. In Issue 5 we had articles from Andy Steel & CammyF, in Issue 6 we had articles from Frankie & myself and in the latest Gersnet column for Issue 7 we have an article from stewarty titled 'Price sensitive information'. WATP magazine issue 7 will be available in your local newsagents and WHSmith stores across Scotland and Northern Ireland and also on sale on match days. It's excellent quality and value for money at only £2.95 and you can also subscribe to the magazine to have it delivered straight to your door. On their website there's also the opportunity to buy individual copies and back issues, so check it out here if you're interested - http://www.watpmagazine.co.uk/index.html Here's the front cover of Issue 7 so you know what to look for.....

The 'advisor' at Daniel Stewart & co who deals with the RIFC plc business is Paul Shackleton. He responds to communication from shareholders, but only with the briefest, minimal information required of him by law. Just ask Govan Derriere who posts here and on FF. He's had a lot of communications with Paul Shackleton.
