The pape-rs have spent the entire summer building up their beloved bheasts into some kind of worldbeating outfit of superstars. Sometimes you just have to leave them to it and laugh at the inevitable consequences. They simply never learn.

Ooooh 0-1. Pity.

Nice wee touch on the wall to the right of John.

Some interesting points chilledbear. Certainly you don't lose out in the trendy stakes by flouting your t@igery. It fits in with the liberal, PC, hand-wringing 'right-on' agenda our mhedia, and BBC in particular, is rife with. A mixture of t@ig lies, mhedia appeasement and a criminally negligent custodian and PR department at Rangers means it's a different story for those of a blue persuasion. Arguably this country's finest QC, Donald Finlay was dragged through the gutter for singing TBB. Meanwhile Spiers' mate McGillivan is given free reign to twist, lie, fabricate, spout poison and uninhibited propaganda with complete abandon. Only in the Republic of Scotland. The Donald Finlay episode remains the starkest illustration of how little David Murray cares for Rangers, our history, our traditions and our reputation. Only the dullards amongst us can still think this charlatan is remotely a Rangers man.

It was unbelievable. The only good to come out of it was that the BBC's agenda was, as I say, there in black and white for everyone to see - even if it was then quickly swept under the carpet by our esteemed Fourth Estate.

Scotland is traditionally a socialist country. But the seemingly perpetual "Ah vote Labour cos ma da voted fur thum" attitude doesn't help I guess. Ultimately we get the politicians we deserve, and these people who sleepwalk to the polling booth to vote for the same old shite have a lot to answer for. Lack of a credible alternative is another factor. The Conservatives enjoyed widespread support in Scotland in the 50s but after Thatcher I can't see the Scottish people going back, other than perhaps the likes of Ayrshire, The Borders and perhaps Aberdeenshire. I couldn't provide proof of this, but my overwhelming belief is that Protestant and unionist Scots have been far, far more apathetic than our republican friends for far too long.

Aye, I meant to say that. Shameless. It's a sad day when your choice of government is Scottish Labour or SNP.

Without wishing to sound too much like a conspiracy theorist, it would appear from the state of our media, politics and society at large that Scotland's "Celtic-minded" made a conscious decision a decade or two ago to infiltrate our newspapers, television, political parties, police force, football association, any position of power, in numbers. How else do you explain their apparent freedom to sing about the IRA week in week out while we get pilloried for sneezing? The marked increase in IRA chanting from the bheasts in the last couple of years is no coincidence, they are fully aware now that it's one rule for us and another for them. They 'own' the BBC, the Scottish Labour Party and all but one or two newspapers. The only way to get a job at Pacific Quay if you are a white male is to produce your Sellik season ticket. Make no mistake they got well and truly found out in the aftermath of our Scottish Cup triumph in May - clear as day for all to see.

I see what you're trying to say Shroomz but I disagree. The fact is that the vast majority of Rangers fans are of the apathetic kind, who don't go on websites and who continue to blindly buy Rangers-hating newspapers. Any "reaction" these jhournos receive is from the small 'hardcore', guys like VB etc. I honestly believe that our newspapers have become daily Celtic Views for no other reason than those who write for them support Ra Sellik. They have the airwaves, they have the television studios, and they sure as hell have had the papers for a long time.
-
I don't think anyone is in any doubt any more where BBC Scotland's agenda lies. If you relied on the BBC and most of our newspapers for your news you would have next to no idea Rangers won the league last season. Squeezed in under a two-page spread on Celtic's pre-season exploits in The Times today was an 60-word snippet on Rangers' victory over Nuremburg. They are still hurting.
-
I'm giving the season review a wide berth this year as by all accounts it's a slipshod effort typical of those in power at Rangers these days. Bluedan it sounds like you'd be better off getting the complete season box set of all 38 matches, think I'll pick one up in the xmas sales.

"Stand up if you hate Celtic" [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5iBUO8oc08]YouTube - confused cardiff/celtic fan[/ame] I thought everyone down south loved them?

Any chance we could withdraw from the SPL as well?
-
But surely he already knew how pyoor mega massive ra Sellick were, having spent his childhood in French Guiana listening to Sportsound for news of his beloved hoops
-
Absolutely spot on. Ra Sellik Way. Does anyone honestly believe if it was two Celtic players caught up in 'Boozegate' that they wouldn't sweep it under that very full carpet of theirs and suspend their players from the first team? Me neither. Boozegate actually worked out very well for us in the end - we showed we will put standards and class over winning at all costs and still managed to win the league. As much as anything else it highlighted how low the bheasts' antics during 2007/08 were. Nice to see Loovens continuing the Sellick traditions. Celtc FC - Deflect and deny since 1BBB

McGregor should be offered to every club in Europe until somebody gives us £5m for him.
-
Best for both parties, all the best to him. He wasn't a legend, but from 1998 to 2003 he was a pretty special player for the Rangers.
-
Ian Murray? No way was he one of our worst players. The rest are good shouts however, and that front pairing in particular makes me want to break down and cry.

Ironically I've a modicum more respect for Tevez than the others. He got his burns after being scalded as a young child. When he played for Boca Juniors, the club offered him cosmetic surgery. He turned it down because he said the burns were a part of who he was in the past and who he is today.
-
Dreadful news. Hated the guy as a player, although that's a compliment to him I guess. Wouldn't wish something like this on anyone and certainly not a guy as young as JH, here's hoping he makes a full recovery.

What a tedious freakshow the English Premiership has become. How anyone can still retain an interest in this obscene league is beyond me. I hope every one of the clubs dies on their arse so they have to rip the whole thing up and start again. Wage cap Loyal.

Welcome Outlaw, noticed you on VB. As for you Walter, sniff sniff

I don't have a dog. Can I still enter a pic?
