  1. I don't know whether bringing in Malcolm is a good or bad thing. He was a god awful footballer and not the brightest tool in the box but he could surprise me and a few others. Time will tell.
  2. http://www.scribd.com/doc/201292857/One-year-ago Published by RangersTransparency One year ago Mr McCoist had the chance to lead by example. Subject: Ally Date: Fri, 28 Dec 2012 23:52:06 +0000 From: Brian Stockbridge To: Ian Hart, Walter Smith, Malcolm Murray, Phil Cartmell, Bryan Smart CC: Charles A Green, Imran Ahmad Gentlemen The Board is being asked by Ally and his agent to approve an increase in his salary to the original level of £750k per annum. Whilst some of you may be aware of the background discussions that have taken place with Ally over his remuneration, some of you may not be so I set out the detail below: Originally Ally had an employment contract paying £750k per annum. In consideration for working with the Club during the difficult early stages and as a condition of supporting Charles, it was necessary for Charles to agree with Ally that Ally would have the same option package as Charles Charles, after discussion with Malcolm, agreed to reduce his own salary by half to £360k per annum. Ally agreed to reduce his salary from £750k to £600k per annum. At the time of the IPO, it became apparent that public disclosure of Ally's salary may be necessary in the Prospectus. Ally was concerned at how the fans would react to his salary level and I understand that he wanted to reduce it further to around £200k but with some sort of guaranteed bonus to make it back up. The Executive did not accept this as it was considered misleading and the disclosure made in the prospectus was for the actual amounts paid to Ally from June to August. The Executive agreed to explore every avenue to avoid having to disclose Ally's current contract and, after lengthy discussion with the Executive and its advisers, the UKLA accepted that no disclosure needed to be made about the level of Ally's ongoing salary. The Executive has recently been contacted by Ally's agent requesting an increase in Ally's salary from £600k back to the original £750k from now but with arrears of £62.5k to be paid in the January payroll (this represents the 5 months backdated pay). The Board is asked to consider and, if appropriate, approve the reinstatement of Ally's salary at £750k per annum and the payment of £62.5k of arrears. If this is approved then Ally's original contract will become in force. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions. If this is real then I can see Ally quitting or being sacked.
  3. His football is awful to watch.
  4. He'll have even more authority now.
  5. The ball will never make it to the strikers. Sideways pass followed by sideways pass. And, are managers allowed to take throw ins, free kicks, corners and penalties?
  6. Seriously? You ought to see the stats for arrests at football game under this new Act.
  7. The (more common) sections and subsections in this new Act are fairly easy to understand and follow. Someone chants, sings or shouts something sectarian and they're jailed. Simple. I would also add that the cops don't like this new Act either but they have no choice but to follow it especially when there's senior officers watching the fans and directing the cops to any fans who are committing an offence. Anyway, it's upto the fan to behave themselves. Whether they agree or disagree with this new Act, it's now the law so what do they expect when they, a mate or a fellow supporter is jailed? Finally, what place in football is there for a "fuck the pope" or "fuck the queen" chant? These people deserve the jail for being idiots who are stuck in the dark days. Move on.
  8. The only bad goalkeeper we've had that I can remember was Letizi. Goram stays in Carluke with his partner unless they've either split up or moved to Carluke. I wouldn't fancy that commute every day.
  9. Huddlestone isn't a creative player, he's like Bob Malcolm bit better.
  10. Divisions 1, 2 and 3 are doig well. Pity the top division isn't.
  11. We're stuck with all the players until their contracts expire. They're footballers, they had no heart. They won't leave for free.
  12. And Albion Rovers beat Motherwell. Freak results happen in football. If Jelavic score more than 6 I'll be shocked.
  13. Of course not. What the stat shows is that Moyes isn't doing that bad a job. It took SAF time to get Man Utd winning back in the 80s and 90s. It'll take Moyes time too.
  14. I only hope that the fans didn't rip the piss and all pay £1.
  15. Do you know the Coatbridge area at all? The were looking at a site at Kirkwood Sports Barn which lies close to the M8 and Bargeddie. They were also looking at staying at Cliftonhill and turning the pitch round 90 degrees. I can't remember the reason for that but it was knocked on its head fairly quick. On a sidenote, it's interesting to see what goes on behind the scenes at a club on matchday. Yes, they're only a small club but I'd imagine the basics are the same for all clubs no matter what division they're in.
  16. A centre half partnership of Boogie ad Moshni. Where would Ally play Jig?
  17. Hull don't create enough chances for him to "bang the goals in". Can't see this being a success at all.
  18. I know the Albion Rovers board fairly well due to work commitments. They're a great bunch and it's good to see them doing fairly well. There was talk of them moving to a new stadium but decided against it. No doubting that Cliftonhill is a dump but they're making it work. They were all gutted about missing out on playing Rangers 4 times this season.
  19. An artificial table? Analyse it however you like but the figures mentioned are fact.
  20. Don't remember him. Sad news.
  21. Number of games won by Man Utd managers at this stage: Moyes 18 Busby 15 Atkinson 14 Ferguson 12 Sexton 12 Docherty 10.
  22. 30 by the time we're back in the SPL.
  23. Do we know the accused in the Edu/Bartley case was a Celtic fan? Sorry, I've not been following the case.
  24. McGowan will do it again. He's out pished a lot in Coatbridge and Airdrie wanting to fight with anyone. Also, a police assault charge is usually the first charge to be dropped against an accused. His defence lawyer will plea bargain with the PF usually resulting in the police assault charge being dropped if the accused pleads Guilty to the other charges. Basically, a police assault charge means next to nothing.
  25. Another player to add to the hefty wage bill. Not what we need.
