  1. What was it legend Richard Gough once said? "I always said a team who eats Monster Munch together, wins together" Naw..., it wiznae that....
  2. Lionel Messi appears in Spanish court over tax fraud Barcelona footballer Lionel Messi and his father have arrived at a Spanish court to face tax fraud allegations. The 26-year-old Argentine, four times Fifa World Player of the Year, and his father Jorge Messi are accused of defrauding the authorities of more than 4m euros ($5.4m; £3.4m). They are suspected of using companies abroad - in Belize and Uruguay - to sell the rights to use Messi's image. They both deny the allegations, which date back to 2007-09. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-24292849
  3. If we all get paranoid about it you could say Jon Daly is part of the big plan.
  4. I've always thought the online Rangers community have had a big say in things - was that not why C. Green had to chuck it?
  5. I've always thought halve the entrance fee, double the attendance. If the product still isn't worth it then we are dead in the water.
  6. I'd imagine he won't be able to do it again and get away with it. So hopefully that'll be last we hear of him.
  7. FT 1-0. Good game, Moyes will be happy with that win.
  8. Rooney took a corner and Hernandez was left alone in the box by enrique and he slotted home from six yards unmarked in the centre!!!!
  9. 47 seconds into the second half 1-0 United - Hernandez.
  10. HT 0-0 Aye Suarez started. Teams: Man Utd: De Gea, Rafael Da Silva, Smalling, Evans, Buttner, Jones, Giggs, Nani, Rooney, Kagawa, Hernandez. Liverpool: Mignolet, Toure, Sakho, Skrtel, Enrique, Lucas, Henderson, Gerrard, Moses, Sturridge, Suarez. Utd started the stronger but Liverpool were on top by the end of the first half.
  11. If he lifts the Premiership League Title (or whatever they call it) at the end of 2015/16 he'll go down as one of the all-time Rangers greats. Bit of a tall order right enough.
  12. There's nothing worse than watching a game on tv with no crowd and no atmosphere a terrible advert for Scottish football. The tims won't go because Killie were the club who shied away from voting us out. I wouldn't have watched it anyway haven't watched an spl game since we were kicked out of that league.
  13. I know this cup isn't taken very seriously at times by the top clubs, but there should be a sense of need from both teams who won't want to suffer a 2nd consecutive defeat after their respective losses at the weekend. Liverpool have already beaten the Old Trafford outfit in the league earlier this month and will be looking to complete a nice double, and of course David Moyes will be desperate to avoid another set-back. Moyes is once again expected to be without influential striker Robin van Persie at Old Trafford tonight. The Dutchman is still out with a groin injury while defenders Rafael and Phil Jones are also doubtful. Nani and Wilfried Zaha could feature, while striker Javier Hernandez could make his first start of the season. Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has to decide whether to introduce Luis Suarez back into his team tonight. The Uruguayan striker has served his 10-match suspension for biting Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic, and is available for selection. Daniel Agger will have his rib injury assessed prior to kick-off, but Glen Johnson (ankle), Philippe Coutinho (shoulder) and Joe Allen (hamstring) are all unlikely to play.
  14. It's ironic that Norwich City last night in their league cup tie against Watford were losing 1-2 until Hooper scored a 95th minute goal to send the tie into extra-time...Hooper then grabbed the winner with 5 minutes remaining to send his team into the next round.
  15. Morton should be dragged over the coals for resting players before an important cup game.
  16. Oops sorry Frankie, I put this up without noticing Ian had already done so, apologies.
  17. THE former Ibrox director, who is a leading player in the shareholder uprising against the current regime, wants to know the identities of the money men behind investor groups in an exclusive interview with Keith Jackson. "These people could be about to have a huge say in determining the very future of the club but no-one knows who they are. The fans deserve to be told the truth." PAUL MURRAY last night called for clarity from the Rangers board over the identity of its foreign backers. Murray, who has teamed up with entrepreneur Jim McColl to lead a shareholder uprising against the Ibrox regime, has urged the club to make public the identity of the money men behind investor groups Blue Pitch Holdings and Margarita Holdings. Murray’s move comes after the club’s lawyers asked him to hand over details of all those who are supporting his bid for control – and following an announcement on Friday that Blue Pitch and Margarita will team up to back the current board at next month’s agm. With around 15 per cent of the club’s shares between them, Murray believes Blue Pitch – who funded Charles Green’s £5.5m takeover – and Margarita could have enough votes to save chief executive Craig Mather and financial director Brian Stockbridge from the chop. And he insists the Rangers fans must not be kept in the dark about their identities. Murray said: “We spent all of last week identifying who we all are under the section 793 process, which is a legal mechanism for the club to find out who owns shares. “I’d like to ask: Has the club done the same with Blue Pitch Holdings and Margarita Holdings? Are they happy with the answers they got? And will they now make public the name of those involved in order that the Rangers supporters are afforded transparency? “These people could be about to have a huge say in determining the very future of the club but no-one knows who they are. The fans deserve to be told the truth. “We have fully complied with the club’s requests. Every requisitionist has given them authentication of the shares they hold and who the beneficial owners of the shares are. “So surely the same rules should be applied all round to all parties.” The club’s agm is expected to be held next month, with all directors facing a shareholder vote to determine if they are re-elected. Murray and McColl claim to have mustered the support of just less than 30 per cent of the shareholders after being urged to lead a revolt by a group of institutional investors, who are demanding changes. A spokesman for the Rangers Supporters Trust said: “One of the many promises Charles Green made was honesty and transparency of the ownership of our club. “Most Rangers fans would agree we don’t have that as long as we have shareholders hiding behind these nominee venture capitalist accounts.” Last night a spokesperson for Rangers said: “What was asked of the requisitioners was in line with protocol.” http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/paul-murray-exclusive-tell-who-2298764?
  18. Any team in the land is capable of knocking an spl side out of the cup, Rangers can easily reach the final if they avoid timmy, and you never know we could actually win it. Over the last decade or so around 5 clubs from outside the top division have made the final. (QoS, Ross Co, Gretna for example) and if a big club like ours can emulate those clubs then I think we are capable of going one better.
  19. Greenock Morton knocked out the scum at the paedodrome when after 90 goalless league cup minutes the game went into extra-time. It was Dougie Imrie who was the hero slotting home a 97th minute penalty. 0-1. Get it right up ye Lennon.
  20. Happy Birthday Ally, undoubted hero and legend but an unconvincing manager.
  21. ‘It was just a difference of opinion’ — Forfar chairman plays down bust up with Andy Cameron. Forfar Athletic chairman Alistair Donald has played down a post-match “difference of opinion” with a famous Rangers fan over the team’s artificial pitch. Scots comedian Andy Cameron was reportedly banned from Station Park following comments he allegedly made about the ground’s 3G surface in the wake of the Gers’ narrow 1-0 win over the Loons on Sunday. The former Take the High Road star was reported to have had a dig at the inconsistency of artificial surfaces but club chairman Alistair Donald moved to clarify the situation after initially taking to Twitter to vent his frustrations. Mr Donald said: “He’s not banned but if he feels so strongly against the pitch then I don’t really see much need for him to come and watch football on it. “We shook hands before he left and there’s no bad blood — that’s not how I operate. It was just a difference of opinion. http://www.thecourier.co.uk/news/local/angus-the-mearns/it-was-just-a-difference-of-opinion-forfar-chairman-plays-down-bust-up-with-andy-cameron-1.134368?
