I fancy 1-0 or 2-0 aswell. I'll have a bash at the scorers when I see the line up
-
Just asking seen as I dont have a clue whats on the BBC
-
Anyone know if it is on BBC?? I checked my listings and I have all the other 3 quarter finals live. The only reason I could think the Rangers game wasnt on aswell was due to the BBC TV rights.

Will be interesting to see if he plays, Id play him for sure. It may be Dailly makes way with his broken toe.
-
Read this morning he is recovering well but the Sporting game comes just too soon. We may see him against Utd at the weekend then.
-
I think he is peaking now. Some say players peak at 28, 29 but i dont agree with that, I think some players peak early in there career. Michael Owen peaked in his late teens and early 20s and is now a very average player. I think both Rooney and Ronaldo are peaking early but will continue to do so for a good few years.

Man Utd are just on fire. The difference this season is compared to last is they still have something left in the tank. Last season they didnt start with a full tank of petrol - i.e. a big enough squad to compete on all stages. This season they have cover from Hargreaves, Anderson and Nani which has kept the likes of Giggs and Scholes free and its given them a fully fit midfield to choose from. They must be favourties for the double now. Barcelona arent on the greatest form but hopefully they get it together for the Man Utd game and we could be in for a real treat. Semi finals are often better than finals as teams seem to go for it. Imagine the best of Henry, Messi, Eto, Deco and Ronaldinho up against Ronaldo, Rooney, Giggs, Scholes and Tevez - awesome thought!. I actually expect Arsenal to give Liverpool a bit of a lesson tonight. I really think they will turn on the style at Emirates tonight and win 2 or 3 nil. I can see an all english final - Man Utd v Arsenal / Chelsea.
-
Ive watched a few interviews and previews today and a few are even tipping Roma for a win tonight as if they dont then they will go out. But they are also saying they will go with this 4-6-0 formation which 2-4 midfielders turn on a counter attack, but its very defensive and tough to break down. So they think Man U will match them up in the midfield with Carrick / Hargreaves (MC is doubtful), Anderson and Scholes all playing so both teams may cancel each other out. So banker draw for me.

Golf and football cant be mentioned in the same sentance!!! But its the way of the world mate, TV rules the roost on all fronts.
-
It will be over in less than that. Motherwell will take a draw off them at Fir Park and we wont lose both matches at Parkhead. In fact I dont think we will lose one there. But we have to be lucky with injuries with the amount of games coming up again.

Id edge towards a treble containing: Roma v Man U - Draw Fener v Chelsea - away win Arsenal v Liverpool - Home win
-
Im still annoyed with Arsenal though, they should be at least level on points with Man Utd at the moment. Imagine how good that game between them would have been had it been closer. Hopefully there is a twist this weekend when Man Utd go to the Riverside. Boro are a weird team, they seem to be improving as a side but then they collapse for a game or 2. I used to not be able to stand Southgate but he has grown on me this past few months. He conducts himself very well but after Chris Burke he is the next man in football that needs a haircut.

Friday morning matey, and dont be letting that English classes get in the way

Tuesday: AS Roma v Man Utd Fenerbahce v Chelsea The Man Utd game could be interesting. Roma are no mugs despite Man U getting the better of them quite a few times in the last year. Totti being out for Roma is a massive loss. I think Man U will go through over 2 legs but tonight may be a draw. Chelsea go to a hostile place but they will have too much strength for Fenerbahce over 2 legs. Tonight might be a narrow away win or a draw but Chelsea will beat them by 2 goals at Stamford Bridge Wednesday: Schalke v Barcelona: Has to be Barca over 2 legs and they should win on the night aswell. There are no easy games at this stage though. The big one - Arsenal v Liverpool: Has to be Arsenal for me over 2 legs. They will switch it on for the CL as this is the one Wenger wants more. I think it will be a cracking game but if Arsenal keep Torres quiet then they should win it. They play 3 times in 1 week and I expect 2 Arsenal wins and a draw.

Just when they thought they had a decent coach.....

No wonder he was so keen on taking the England job, but if he keeps picking Owen and Beckham then i hope he stays -
As i said in another thread it will depend on the rules of the game. We all know diving is a bookable offence but is there a rule stating a player going down under a touch isnt diving?? Unlikely, I know but that would define if it was a dive or not.
-
Re Thomson incident, it depends what the actualy rules of the game are. We all know Diving isnt allowed and its a bookable offence. But is there a rule when players play for pens and go down with a touch that says this isnt diving???

Good read Cammy. That WS record wouldnt be far off but is it maybe for league matches only?? I thought he has had a wee bit more matches than that. He took over in 1990/91 until 1998 which means he had between 28 and 32 league matches depending on his exact start and then the 4 he has had since returning. Add the cup matches during his first spell (id say about 5 or 6??). So that between 38 and 42 would be right. As for Scott Brown, thats very interesting. It might even explain his poor attitude and does make sense due to all the comments last summer that he was a Rangers player. A move to a struggling EPL team wouldnt be a great move for him IMO, just look at C Gordon, R Anderson but on the other hand McFadden has done well since moving to Birmingham. It would depend how much money McLeish gets at Brum and who else he signs (Lovenkrands, Boyd and Hemdani???) But would fellow Bears take him to Ibrox? Agree with the above that Davis needs to be signed up but id say its imperative he plays a more central role - he hasnt played nearly aswell wide right. But after Davis id certainly think Broon would add to our squad as WS would wipe that bad attitude away and we may see the true talent he has. Very interesting! But a transfer fee would be on the high side and I really cant see it.

Harsh but amusing

Which one of you and Juff plays the bird during your ramming sessions or do you's take turns
-
Why does he get suspended for the Celtic game and not Dundee Utd or is suspended for that aswell?? But Hemdani can easy come in, alternatively Davis moves in one and Novo starts out right. Plenty options

Stewarty, you can take Partick if you want seen as you asked first. If not il do it if Im around.
