  1. "Too short for a striker....."
  2. Have they pursued anything through the proper channels??? It's one thing having shares.....it's another knowing what to do with them.
  3. No one is stopping King buying shares except himself. Would anyone REALLY complain if he spend £2m on shares then only invested £18m into the club??? If he builds up a decent shareholding, it also buys him more credibility - something I think hampered the Requisitioner's attempts. It also allows King to speak as a significant shareholder, rather than an "outsider". I feel that his occasional comments possibly do more harm than good at times. Fans listen to what he says because of his previous investment, but how much of it is 100% accurate.
  4. Have they actually turned away ANYTHING yet??? We know that King has said he would be willing to invest, but he's never stated how much & what he'd wants in return - and he WILL want something. Has King actually submitted a detailed financial proposal yet??? Kings shouting about transparency, yet what do we actually know about his plans/figures etc. The last time King invested, was it through a share issue??? or was it simply "here's £20m....put me on the Board"???
  5. What right does King have to publicly demand sensitive financial information from the club??? If he is so desperate to invest in RFC, why doesn't he properly formulate a business proposal and approach the board with it, rather than sitting by the pool waiting for RFC to come grovelling to him??? Also, how up to date & accurate is his knowledge of the current financial situation??? Is he basing his current ramblings on information from November (or older)???
  6. If they had made St Neil their manager, they'd be winning La Liga, serie A & Bundesliga- without even playing in them....he is that good...
  7. ....but those Ajax fans were actually RFC fans....
  8. I think you have all missed the real culprits in this story - obviously it is all Rangers' fault and those involved in the Rangers led "establishment". Those Riotous thugs who targeted St Lennon were clearly Rangers fans in disguise, who only had one intention - to bring harm to St Lennon. The fact that there were no witnesses, and no officials mentioned it in their reports also adds to the level of control that the "establishment" have over central Scotland. I think in light of the trauma that St Lennon has obviously suffered, it would only be right for Rangers to accept FULL responsibility and issue a full & frank public apology for behaviour of their undercover fans.
  9. I would say that Bell is easily one of the best keepers in the country.... It is rather difficult to judge just now due to the amount that he currently has to do in games. If he is "partnered" up with a solid CB pairing we could be onto a real winner.
  10. You can't base a keepers future based on one save, no matter how good it was. I thought he generally looked unconvincing overall. As for Scott Gallagher....he played at the start of the season, before Bell was available - he did well. In the league & Challenge Cup (until 1st Sept), Gallagher didn't concede....only conceding (2) to Forfar in the League cup. Simonsen has conceded 2 in one match. I would let Simonsen leave (with thanks), and continue with Gallagher as 2nd choice.
  11. Our alleged valuation of Wallace (£1.4m) is, IMHO, FAR too low. Regardless of our current league standing or financial situation, I would have preferred to see a valuation of at least £3m+ (preferrably nearer £5m) publicly placed on him. Get the £3m+ valuation into the media & hype up the player. Lets be perfectly honest, £1.4m for a player is pennies to EPL or championship sides. Its all very easy to say that we are "only" playing in the 3rd tier, and that we need cash, but you can also flip that round & say that these clubs have considerably more cash than us, and can easily afford to pay more for a player - is Juan Mata REALLY worth £37m.....would the fee have been the same for another club?? As a club we must start working the transfer market more. Selling out top players on at a loss HAS to stop.
  12. Long-term short-termism....interesting concept
  13. I really hope he gets a good run in the 1st team once the league is officially tied up - alternate Jig & Mohsni along sire Luca. Also the perfect opportunity to give some of the other fringe youngsters a bit of a game...
  14. In general I would agree.....however, it is the managers responsibility to firstly pick the team, then it is his responsibility to identify players during the game that aren't playing well & either sub them or change tactics to improve things.. On the 1st point....if the players are looking excellent in training, why are they struggling so badly @ times during a match??? On the 2md point...How often does Ally change things up before the 60th minute (without being forced to due to injury)??? We have a 1st team made up primarily of experienced SPL or international players, that at times are being shown up by part-timers.....something isn't clicking. This is our 2nd season playing in the lower leagues, and while our performances have improved since last season, the team should still be performing at a higher level & dominating teams.
  15. The SPFL are regularly saying that sponsorship is a small piece of the overall financial pie......yet here is a team that are saying that the lack of sponsorship payout has directly effected their annual figures......
  16. I think this will be good for McKay.... He showed a lot of promise last season, but clearly had a lot of learning still to do. Playing regularly @ Morton will allow him to get game time & develop as a player. I feel he is a player who could do a pretty good job for us in the years to come. However it wouldn't surprise me if he returns to Ibrox, then never heard from.....
  17. Alternatively, they would have known that Bell was about to become a father & therefore miss a game (or 2). Therefore probably giving Simonsen some game time in order to cover for Bell.
  18. Unfortunate events @ Cappielow on Saturday... I was there with my brother & nephew, not too far from where the gentleman collapsed. I brings a lot of things into perspective. Thoughts are with the mans family. http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/match-abandoned-cappielow-after-just-3062785
  19. As predicted by me here on the 15th Jan (post #5).....
  20. The team need to work harder on their general movement & support of their team mates.....
  21. now that would be amusing......
  22. or...ir could be BS trying to defend/justify his position....
  23. The "alleged" email is dated Dec 2012 - a time when both Green & Ahmed were very much involved.....
  24. Faure has performed we @ CB - more stable than Moshni IMHO.... As for keeper....Simonsen certainly pulled of a couple of excellent saves, but I felt @ other times he was decidedly ropey - especially within the 1st 10mins. Bell is a far superior keeper.
