  1. Can you imagine the English FA behaving like this and getting away with it? Time some serious questions were asked of Regan and his merry band of clueless sycophants. Joke organisation and not fit for purpose, they have stumbled from one embarrassment to the next.
  2. Tomorrow is when any findings will be announced.
  3. His eyes are rather close together........
  4. I was born and bred in Airdrie and went to the odd game when Rangers were away etc and I can tell you that the hardcore don't think of Airdrie Utd as a "new" club but a lot of the old fashioned fans just drifted away. The two examples are totally different though and I tend to think it would be a much quicker thing....Rangers FC in liquidation one day and Glasgow Rangers FC born the next. That kind of speedy transition would a lot easier to swallow and 99% of fans would still feel the attachment.
  5. I would love Ray Wilkins in to do just that but he wouldn't touch us unless A we had plenty cash to pay him and B while we're in crisis. I can still dream!
  6. You've just put the fear right up me now...what if the Lord Nimmo Smith is a raging bead rattler and orders all trace of us expunged from the records?
  7. I'm disappointed in the manner the players have reacted on the field. I really though we would see a defiant side take the field in front of 50,000 confused supporters in the last few home games. Unfortunately I lay a lot of the blame for that on McCoist. Paolo Sergio's players had no wages for two months and showed a togetherness that we just don't have. Maybe Ally will find his level in the 3rd division.....
  8. I fully expect this enquiry to return the square root of zero, the SFA would be equally liable if negligence or poor practice was shown to have been in operation with playing contracts. It's up to the Association to make sure their articles of association are adhered to is it not?
  9. Port Vale would be pretty much perfect for the England scenario however I'm not sure how well received it would be down south if Rangers effectively killed one of their oldest clubs. Starting in League 2 wouldn't be much of a drop in quality from the lower end of the SPL. We WILL NEVER get another chance to escape a dying league so I'm surprised that it's seemingly not being discussed by either current or future owners. I had heard a rumour that Craig Whyte has met with the FA in England this year though.
  10. It's a message to the players....accept the wage cuts or force the club into liquidation. The stakes have just been raised considerably.
  11. Then his wee statement has done the trick, he needs the fans behind him to move this quickly.
  12. Not only will the clubs never adopt a co-operative stance, our governing bodies are more than willing to sink the boot in and do nothing to stop the slide towards oblivion of one of it's biggest clubs. It's poisonous up here.
  13. Spot on. Not that I don't care about the players themselves being out of a job but if this is the way we begin to climb up the hill then so be it. We have to be pragmatic here.
  14. I used to think we (Rangers fans) were a better class of people than them but lately I'm starting to seriously doubt it. I know Twitter provides a platform for these morons and it's not necessary a good barometer of fans views but some of the things I've seen today have made me feel physically sick. It's only going to get worse as well. Got a real heavy heart just now.
  15. I would be 100% behind making a new home in the lower leagues in England. We will never get another chance to escape the cesspit that is Scottish football and leave the hatred from Celtic minded people behind with it. The big question is where we would be allowed to start, League 2? Blue Square? If it took 10 years to get to the top flight it would be worth it for me. Knowing our luck we'd make it to the EPl just as Sky pulled the plug!
  16. Who needs enemies eh? I forgot to add above that Neil Doncaster made a point of making the distinction between the legal entity who own Rangers Football Club and the club itself. It'a always how I've thought about it but know that the SPL see it this way is quite revealing.
  17. Heard Neil Doncaster speaking about this earlier, he basically said that there is no statute in the rules for any of this but he put it more along the lines of "any sanction is available to us even if it's not specifically in the rule book". In a nutshell they'll make up the rules as we go along. It's interesting that he said they were responding to an allegation that Rangers hadn't disclosed payments to players. An allegation from who?
  18. Interesting that he says "I don't think anything more will be said about it"...is he inferring that it will be glossed over by his media colleagues?
  19. It's gotten ugly for sure but immoral? I think your being a wee bit sanctimonious using words like that. Immoral is Shell making a £50bn profit, immoral is war in the Middle East for oil, one clever millionaire screwing other clever millionaires is an occupational hazard in their business.
  20. Here's a question...why have the media (printed and non) been so desperate to establish that Craig Whytye should never return to Ibrox? I have seen and heard fans being asked this question over and over and heard plenty of pundits saying along the lines of "I can't see Craig Whyte ever being able to return to Ibrox"....It's then no surprise that Douglas Fraser comes out with something like the above. That is the only way they will see the money back. I think some have realised that there is now the distinct possibility that Whyte has indeed pulled off a massive sting on Ticketus and will drive external creditors away with vastly reduced settlements. If it turns out the way I have always thought it might then I would welcome him back with open arms. He would be the man that saved Rangers. The crucial thing to remember here is that the company that owns Rangers may go through any kind of turmoil but the football club remains just that ,a football club as it was before it was incorporated by a company and with every change of ownership since 1873.
