Superb article and neatly bundles Timmy's anti-Rangers forces, the shameful and degenerate BBC and those 5th columnists in our ranks who spend their every waking hour attacking McCoist personally. Everyone has the right - nay, duty - to complain when standards aren't what we demand on the field. Everyone has teh right to say that he isn't the manager or coach for us - but when that turns into personal attacks against Ally McCoist then it's time to take off the mask and don the hoops.

Can I just clarify that I wasn't saying that Bazza wouldn't / won't make it as a manager. Two words: Jonathan Watson.

I'm confused. Is it *any* ex-Rangers player who can say anything as ridiculous and ill-conceived as he wants without being lampooned, or is it only Hall of Fame members? You're partly right.

Barry Ferguson after Blackpool's game against Reading tonight: "It's a tough job management, in general, but apart from the result tonight, I really enjoyed it." Reading won 5 - 1. Barry, you haven't lost it son.

Booming. Isn't that the sound something makes when it blows up in your face?

excuse me? They lost money last season? So, in other words, they were using players they couldn't afford in order to secure second place and a european spot? Isn't that financial doping? doesn't it fly in the face of sporting integrity? There must be sanctions imposed, surely.

Looks like Wallace is the real deal after all. Feeling any cheerier, gunslinger?

For as long as Ally stays, there is a rangers presence at Ibrox. If we allow the rats to get rid of him, there will be not a single person in positions of power that we know or can trust or that has any Rangers connection whatsoever. HMS Rangers is tied to the dockside by a single strand; Cut that strand and you'll turn HMS Rangers into the Lyubov Orlova, crewed in much the same manner.

Can you think of an example of someone who was in a position of power within an organisation and then left that organisation whose voice then carrried more weight and had more influence?

it's clearly not, Bd. I can't think of any instance, any where any time, where someone has been able to leave an organisation and exert more influence over than organisation. McCoist walking would be delivering the club lock, stock(s) and barrel into the hands of the spivs.

At the moment, when McCost speaks, he speaks as Ally McCoist Rangers legend and Manager of Rangers FC. If McCoist walks away, he's Ally McCoist disgruntled ex-employee. Which of those two positions do you think offers the better chance of protecting the club? The biggest success the rats have had is to have gotten to the stage where a thread like this can have the title it does.

perfectly put, amms. This is not about football, this is about the character assassination of the only Rangers man left standing.

This is not about the football on show. The football is a side issue at the moment. This is about whether we stand behind the only Rangers man left at the club or stab him in the back and let the spivs take complete control with no resistence.

Yes, well, I said "some people" would either back up an insinuation or withdraw it. Clearly not you.

sticking your fingers in your ears, screwing your eyes shut and shouting "sack ally, sack ally" is not "dusting yourself down - it's sticking your head in the sand. Our club is being eviscerated by con men and charlatans and we have one friend in this nest of vipers - and you want to get rid of him because you don't like the product on the park in the most turbulent period any seior club has ever faced. Unbelievable.

If you have no desire to go down that road then it would perhaps be wise not to have made insinuations about my motives in the first place. Some people would either retract the insinuation or follow up those insinuations with firm accusations and then support those accusations with evidence.

The fact that you seem willfully ignorant of the events since Feb 2012 is an excuse? How can your ignorance be an excuse for me? Nope, you've lost me there.

The inability of some people on here to see the big picture is truly depressing. The very existance of the club could be threatened but these people are more concerned with petty sniping at the only person we can trust, because we're not winning in style every week against journeymen cluggers.

Got any examples of this "toadying up" or of jumping the fence or of him backing his bosses? McCoist's priority is the welfare of Rangers, there can be no doubt about that. The welfare of Rangers is not served by him walking away from the club because he doesn't like his latest boss. If McCoist leaves, then there is not one single person left in a position of authority that we can trust. And, yes, to answer your question, I do trust Ally to do what he thinks is best for the club. I'm not saying he'll make the right call every time, but he will be acting in the best interests of the club, as he sees it. As a manager? the jury is out, - but as a real Bluenose who has the club at heart, he's the only one I would trust.

The club is being run by incompetants, liars and spivs, our name is being dragged through the mud and made a laughing stock - and you're sad that the only remaining Ranger, the only person the fans can trust is staying? And why? Because you don't like his managerial tactics. Away and have a word with yourself
