  1. One reason for this sudden flurry of fighting in public is that both sides are neck and neck in terms of the voting blocks behind them and it really could come down to how the fan vote goes. This public bickering will have no effect on the institutionals who have made up their minds, but splitting the fan vote would be something the incumbents would be very keen on doing, I'd imagine.
  2. Can't agree, mate; They're nowhere near the bottom of the barrel - this board can be trusted to sink a lot lower than this.
  3. i'm in two minds about this statement; I don't know if it's condescending, petulant and amateurish - or whether it's just embarrassing, undignified and unprofessional.
  4. On the day that Tom Daley came out, is there anything you want to tell us Zappa?
  5. Nice to see the Hearts fans turning up in huge numbers to support their club in their hour of need. Standing room only at Tynie. (we really do need a sarcasm emoticon)
  6. ach, he'll just be using the same measuring scale he uses for other parts of his anatomy
  7. But only after he's made to pay every last penny of relaying the damaged area. I had hoped that kind of moronic fuckwittery was reserved for the great downtrodden.
  8. Interesting choice of word "rebel", particularly in an OF context. Given that you're describing people who refuse to accept the imposition of an illegitimate governing authority and one which may have come to power directly or indirectly via fraudulent or even criminal methods, I think "resistance", "counter-insurgents" "mutineers" "agitators" or "protesters" would be more accurate, don't you? But then, those terms don't have Irish republican connotations, do they? If you used those words you would have to work harder at making your case, whereas just calling someone a rebel is just lazy shorthand for putting them in with Celtic/irish rebulicans/enemies of the club. The only thing missing is an 'h' after the 'r'.
  9. Well, in that case, I can only offer humble apologies. You see, I had thought you were simply a mouthpiece for the board, possibly paid, certainly with an agenda. I probably thought that due to your unquestioning support of anything and everything they say and the highly insulting and inflammatory language you use when attacking anybody who expresses opposition to them. I had no idea you were providing such a valuable service to the online community by bringing balance, fairness and light.
  10. I'm presuming that's rhetorical I'm presuming you've had a look at his posting history.
  11. have you ever posted on any subject other than the board and/or those looking to take over at Ibrox? I'm just asking because I don't ever recall you posting on something like, oh I don't know, football, maybe? A suspicious person might think you're not really a Rangers fan at all, having so little to say about the team or players or manager. You *do* know who the manager is, right?
  12. I and my optician both thank you
  13. Sheff Wed are the very definition of sleeping giant. I can't understand why nobody has bought them over as a project since they are one of the 'natural' Premiership clubs, like Leeds.
  14. We also have a second competition called "Guess the Player Attacked this Week". All you have to do is give us the name of the player, the club he plays for and the form of the attack. Was it a) a cigarette lighter b) a coin or c) a laser. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-25121394 The winner will win a copy of the latest prison memoirs sensation to hit the shelves "TwoTims from Amsterdam"
  15. Yet the sfa/spfl see nothing wrong with the same kind of banner at domestic games. Hmm, I wonder why that would be? Answers on a postcard to our new"How Corrupt is Scottish Football" Competition. Don't worry if you're not lucky this week, it's likely to be an ongoing competition, with prizes for all eventually.
  16. in summary, McCollco remain unconvinced by the new guys but aren't taking a position against them yet, in case they have to work together in future: "on paper", "look like", "appear to be" but not personalised by the use of names. Stockbridge is a different matter. They also make note that McCollco are bluenoses, unlike any of the others. This may not matter to city investors, but it does to most of us. The idea of an Arab and a sheep in charge at Ibrox makes me feel violated to be honest. I know I said it didn't matter if we didn't have Rangers fans running the club. Well, guess what? It does. I read this as a refusal to go away, but not a declaration of war. They have set up camp outside the fortress wall and are now waiting to see if Stockbridges head will be delivered on a pike. If so, there is a chance for peace. If not, this saga may only be just beginning.
  17. oh, hark at Mr Sniffy! Right now, that's good company to be keeping, I'd say.
  18. oh ffs - and I thought Boruc was a fanny.
  19. I don't think we actually disagree on very much at all, Andy & amms. We should pay off every penny to creditors (except HMRC and the sfa/spl) for two reasons: a) it's the right thing to do and b) see a). We should try to improve relationships with every club in the country (except the Gang of 4) and especially those in the lower divisions. We should use these new alliances to work towards the betterment of the game in Scotland. We should expose the only other possible contender for leadership to be the duplicitous, con artists they are for exploring every possible way of dumping the rest of scottish football whilst pretending to act in its interests. Every other club can see this and, you're both right, they would probably be open to new alliances. However, we can only do any of that when Scottish football as a whole is ready to accept that the crimes 'we' committed were actually committted by a crook who had taken control of our club under circumstances that are likely to have been criminal and who was only allowed to take control of the club because those in charge of Scottish football failed to do their jobs properly. It is never possible to negotiate from a position of weakness. If you try then the negotiations quickly become a diktat
  20. ohhh, I widnae like to be in your shoes when Andy reads this. He didnae like my Mariachi band but he's gonnae hate your playground!
  21. was the mariachi band a step too far? Other than that I can't see what evidence therehas been so far to suggest that I'm overstating the case. I'm more than happy to be proved wrong, because we will at some point have to move on as a footballing community, and more than happy to take two steps towards them for every one of theirs towards us but I haven't seen the slightest indication that They are willing to acknowledge that there is anything to talk about.
  22. You're just not getting this, mate. We could make the first move by marching openly towards them, proudly in seried ranks, like a platoon of Prussian dragoons heading for Napoleonic canon. We could sneak up covertly like a spy in a Czech railway siding, offering hushed conversations and discreet agreements. We could bedeck ourselves in garlands of bourgainvillea and announce our intentions by sashaying up to Hamden like a troop of Mexican dancing girls to the beat of a mariachi band - it makes no differentce. They are simply not interested in making or receiving a first move. They are not interested in anything other than our emasculation and humiliation. They are not interested in peace because they have not yet suffered.
  23. gone but not forgotten: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NCN7O9dtuwA fanny.
