  1. That's all well and good saying that, but where would Rangers play all of these youngsters? We can't afford to take the time to give them all their chance and wait for them to develop in the first team. We HAVE to win the league each season. How many teams play a young team and win titles and cups consistently?
  2. Watching him playing with the Whitecaps I was reminded of Ralphie Brand back in the day. He used to send some lovely slicing passes through as an inside-left. A lot of times he was mentally ahead of his colleagues but they eventually cottoned on.
  3. Maribor are probably asking themselves if all the hard work against the tims was worth it to land in this group. Here is the full draw ... Group A: Atletico Madrid, Juventus, Olympiakos, Malmo Group B: Real Madrid, Basel, LIVERPOOL, Ludogorets Group C: Benfica, Zenit St Petersburg, Bayer Leverkusen, Monaco Group D: ARSENAL, Borussia Dortmund, Galatasaray, Anderlecht Group E: Bayern Munich, MANCHESTER CITY, CSKA Moscow, Roma Group F: Barcelona, PSG, Ajax, APOEL Group G: CHELSEA, Schalke, Sporting Lisbon, Maribor Group H: Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk, Athletic Bilbao, BATE Borisov
  4. I posted back when Miller re-signed for us that I thought he would be better used as an attacking midfielder. I based that on watching him for the previous season playing with the Vancouver Whitecaps. He's lost a bit of pace but not his football acumen. Many times he would fire forward piercing passes but the kids he was playing with, for the most part, did not read what was there for them. From what I've seen so far from Boyd and Clark, I don't think that would be a problem. I would play a 4-3-3 with a midfield of Miller, Mc Leod and Law with Aird on the right, Boyd and Clark on the left. Both Miller and McLeod can tackle and we just need Law to come back into form. With McGregor and Wallace bombing up from full back we should be able to attack high. Hell, bring on the c1888c.
  5. I missed this one first time through. Whatever it is, it's still my club and I'll take it. Patience will have it's own reward. As far as I can gather, there is not a damned thing you, your friends, or I can do about it. Remember how people were screaming to get rid of Big Eck, and we ended up with a moonbeam. I'd rather be winning something.
  6. No. I thought they might pick up the cues from your friends that keep telling us Scottish football is dead and that we should go to England and watch a decent game.
  7. As I understand it, they require to convince the Judge that they can appeal on a point of law. Which point of law can possibly not have been covered by now?
  8. Good or bad, it's still my club. If you don't mind, sunshine, I'll hang in there for a while yet. I've got big boots to fill. If you don't like it the choice is yours.
  9. 29 mins. free shot on the tic keeper, bounces back off the Maribor attacker right into Gordon's arms. Crowd is booing the tic. Only one of them that looks like he is in it is McGregor. Maribor feel like they are coming on. More booing and whistling. Gordon is the only cool head in their defence
  10. LOL. Not without the bounds of possibility with that lot at Hampdump.
  11. That was an interesting read, I did not know that. I would agree with your assessment. Whether it is to support a perception or an agenda they can have long memories when it suits them.
  12. That post was offered to refute the idea that the east enders(most) would have any affection for the British Army or the Union. Do you think that all of that crowd was made up of Ulster tims or maybe there were some tims there from Scotland?

Thousands attended the annual Ardoyne Fleadh festival on Sunday night. In a speech during the show, a member of an Irish 'rebel band' told the audience there are "still over 5,000 British soldiers parading around the streets of Ireland as if they owned it" and "it's about time they got their Orange comrades together...and f****d off back to England". The band then perform two tracks - including the 'The Celtic Symphony' - which features 'pro-IRA' chanting. A video of the group performing has been widely circulated online. DUP councillor Lee Reynolds said he had "submitted a formal complaint to the PSNI about the anti-British and anti-Protestant hate speech and the glorification of terrorism at this event". "This turn of events came as no surprise to the DUP and was one of the reasons why we have opposed the licensing of this event," he said He said the "type of behaviour" shown should be "considered justifiable grounds for the withdrawal of all public funding". Police have said they received a complaint and enquiries were ongoing. A spokesman for the Ardoyne Fleadh has not yet responded.
