Barry Ferguson: You can't say Rangers are 10 years behind Celtic..
SteveC replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
"10 years" is a red herring. All they (or we) have to be is ahead. Ten months ahead is the same as ten years. If you are ten months ahead, you win. First is everything, second nothing, below second, risible. -
Draw for the next round of the cup - Rangers v St Johnstone
SteveC replied to Stimpy's topic in Rangers Chat
They'd be incredibly motivated though Frankie... Hammering us would excuse a myriad of failings for manager and players... And board, so they'd strengthen in January. "Glamour loans"- 51 replies

Draw for the next round of the cup - Rangers v St Johnstone
SteveC replied to Stimpy's topic in Rangers Chat
There definitely would be trouble and it would come from both ends, before during and after the game. Though they certainly would take a defeat a lot worse than us. It is being mentioned so much in the press that it feels like it is "odds on" in tonight's draw.- 51 replies

Draw for the next round of the cup - Rangers v St Johnstone

"Thoughts"? Moshni and Simonsen on the pitch and Ally in the dugout. "Thoughts" don't come into it - freaking screaming heebie jeebie nightmares. C'mon Hearts, ffs EDIT: So much for Hearts. Missed a sitter on HT, mised a penalty a minute later gave away a penalty (Commons scored) and then scored an OG. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaargh- 51 replies

Ikechi Anya(Rangers fan) relishes limelight after Dortmund goal
SteveC replied to ian1964's topic in General Football Chat
Yep, that's him finished - in an upcoming, important qualifier he will be hated by everone in the ground and in the "home" (except it is not) dugout_ -
Hahaha - apologies, just got the two fine writers mixed up Your post was what he was responding to, of course... He's wasted there too, imo. I do not always share his views but I like reading opposing views when they are put forward with thought and articulacy. Seems the wrong setting for them..... again imho

That all sounds perfectly normal for any place of work. Far removed from the original report,

That is a terrible and deliberate misrepresentation of your blog, Zappa (EDIT - my mistake, D'Art's blog, D'oh ) but can you clarify if this bit is true: "On Thursday, the day of the referendum, the Bears group posted an image of Britannia alongside images of Alex Salmond's head on a spike and the severed head of Nicola Sturgeon. " If it is, then 1) that's indefensible and 2) you should take your fine writing elsewhere, imho

OP - I know lots of Rangers fans who voted yes, including season ticket holders, supporters of the Royal family...including people from all walks of life and backgrounds. Even including some folk who a year ago would never have dreamt of voting against the Union. Obviously I know lots of Bears who voted, "No" too - and again for a wide range of reasons including some who a year ago would have voted "yes".

He is a very naughty boy. He says things he knows are untrue, repeatedly, for personal gain. Can't imagine they players have been very reassured (as "tried to reassure us" suggests) since he started out his ongoing omnishambles by asking them to take a 15% pay cut while he and the others at the trough were gorging themselves silly.

Hey, GS - what exactly would be the "right" way to take this - as in what other way to take it is there?

I keep thinking I've fallen into a novel by George Orwell and then I wake up to find up I was wrong - it's by Kafka.

Kelly Sinnamon Forster Pascailos Gibson Hutton Ramsay Murdoch Hardie Dykes Walsh 1-0 to us after 60 minutes I got the info re the goal here - http://www.bet365.com/home/FlashGen4/WebConsoleApp.asp?&cb=10880713398 A curious way to follow a match. Would have been good in the old days when corners decided draws....

On another note: Dumbarton 0 v Hearts 0. Didn't think it correct to start a thread with it but felt it had to be mentioned........ OK, back to Harry and Zappy and co..... (only jesting....)

Exactly, I posted once before that I have run fanzines and magazines in the worlds of SF authors and, especially, in the real of music. The fans of the same people who ran magazines or took the time to mail comments (these were print, not online) nearly always fell out because they were intensely interested in the first place and, if you ran a fan group or magazine, it took all your time and energy. So you defended it and your point of view to the death - and staunch defence all too easily slips into aggression.

Steady on now, each thread is limited to a maximum of only two miracles. How about "So consistently irritating, one would suspect him of being a troll"???? but, yes,

I agree, (sorry to continue the shocks in this thread - but, actually I have agreed with dB in the past re on the pitch stuff.) I thought Boyd worked his sock s off last night. Walter Smith says he was worried that if Boyd started working for the team he'd lose his magic art of scoring. Lets hope that worry was not proved last night. An English commentator I know, I mention him because he watches and analyses games from all over the world, was watching last night and he thought Boyd played very well for us, kept their defence worried, off-balance but just had one of those nights when he personally was not going to score - but was going to help create openings for others.

Mike Ashley set to bid for Rangers (and NUFC ban Daily Telegraph for story)
SteveC replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Hopefully our defence tonight won't be as ineffectual.....................but Moshni and the "staunch defence" displayed on here betray alarming similarities, Except that Moshni is occasionally talented in attack,,,,,, -
After deductions there should still be enough to pay September's bills. Can't see it stretching to October though - so,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,what's next?
