  1. I've always thought it was something like this. But if proven, it would surely mean that Green and subsequent boardroom clowns have in breach of their fiduciary duties, wouldn't it? I occasionally allow myself to daydream about this all being proven and the whole load of them are carted off to Barlinnie in handcuffs.
  2. he's no doubt summing up the feelings of fans about their clubs around Britain. The difficulty for us is that the club is utterly dependent on our money: I'm sure the EPL teams bring in enough to manage with barely any attendance at all but that's clearly not an option for us. Ashley will either realise that or get bored and go off to screw over some other club.
  3. Was King ever in with a serious chance? The boardroom since Green arrived appears to have been Ashley's bitch: I'd love to hear a full account by Somers about precisely why Ashley's contemptuous offer was sufficient for them to lube up and bend over where offers that were seemingly more beneficial were rejected but it won't happen. It's clear that whatever Ashley offered was going to be accepted regardless of other deals on the table. What to do? Buy shares when/where we can I guess. If King comes back again then fine, but I'm not holding my breath.
  4. Oh dear, what's the world coming to when some shady local hard nut can't rip off a national institution without having something nasty graffitied on his wall? My heart bleeds. If that's all he had to put up with then he's getting away lightly: when the Man City supporters wanted Peter Swales out they cut the brake pipes on his car.
  5. It would depend slightly on whether he'd been carving slices off them in the previous years. I'd probably be more worried if a diehard Rangers fan with plenty of money had just pumped in much needed investment.
  6. The Twitter app should come with an IQ test that locks it if the user fails it. If some of these turds were allowed guns they'd just shoot themselves.
  7. Who? To be fair, PR for our Mongolian clusterf**k of a club must have been a fairly thankless task.
  8. I've always assumed that they were deliberately doing Ashley's bidding. I hadn't considered the possibility that they're actually morons.
  9. it would funny if it wasn't tragic to have Ally sacked for leaking by the man employing Jack Irvine and who seems to have been giving Ashley 'every possible assistance' in his assault on the club.
  10. If they're sacking him for misconduct, there'll be no compensation anyway.
  11. If he gets sacked it'll not be for football reasons. Alleged on FF that he's leaked to Kennedy though how that differs from Doug and Dinsdale discussing matters in detail withAshley is a matter we can all dwell on in coming months.
  12. Something spurious that would take up vast amounts of money, I'd guess.
  13. As predicted... Well done Mystic Meg. It's not as if it was blindingly obvious that Doug and Dinsdale, like Green, have been set on handing the club to Ashley at a knock down rate since they showed up. Stevie Wonder could see this coming and that's without the Toxic munchkin spoon-feeding him the approved line.
  14. Seems to be: http://www.rangers.co.uk/tickets/the-ibrox-bar Never even noticed it but I'm only up a few times a season as a rule. Normally spend my two hours before the game queuing for a pint in the Louden:D:D
  15. That's sort of what I meant. He seems to have had a level of influence since Green that wouldn't seem to be warranted by the level of his investment at the time. Can't just be the prospect of giving the board members a ride in his helicopter if they behave themselves.
  16. Quite. Some on the board would rather gift Ashley even more of the club's assets than allow this to happen. Is this down to hubris or has Ashley had some sort of hold over them all along?
  17. ' Quite so. But even a relatively small fan holding could provide an irritation or decide a close vote. If everyone who had a season ticket last year also had a 50 or a hundred quids worth of shares (assuming they could get them) that would be a decent amount of clout of wielded properly.
  18. There may be better people but would they come? And would the club even want them if they would? The dafter side of me suspects that the one of the last things at least some of the board want is an independent-minded CEO who knows what they're talking about. Wallace's review was pitifully bad but the reason he's being punted would appear to be because he's backing the 'wrong' side rather than his competence.
  19. Wouldn't a compromise of a smaller personal investment in your own shares be better for the moment? I can understand wanting your own shares but, so long as the votes are proxied to RST or another collective vehicle, the end result is the same for the time being. It's what I'm doing.
  20. I don't suppose there's any requirement for Ashley to publicly justify his move to other shareholders or anything?
  21. This'll be Ashley preempting the move by King and co. covered in the Jackson story. Given he's said he doesn't want to invest, we can look forward to afat Cockney gobshyte with bottomless pockets leeching money away from the club indefinitely or a bunch of supporters with some, though not limitless, money trying to look after it. I can already see what way this is going to go.
  22. Quite. Be interesting how it's portrayed though: I got the impression that it was Wallace's reputation that saved the board at the last AGM. Given that, it would be interesting to see how they spin it if they now turn on him.
  23. 'To lose one chief exec may be regarded as misfortune, to lose several looks bent' Oscar Wilde(ish) Merlin still backing the usual suspects and trotting out the party line, which has been updated in as all concession to the blindingly obvious. Instead of 'back the board, they're pyoor magic n'tha' we're getting 'ok, I admit things aren't great but it's the fault of the who opposed them and the best solution is to back their preferred candidate (who looks to be being gifted the club instalments anyway).
  24. In addition to personality clashes, there's surely some hubris at work too. Sides were picked some time ago and, rather than admit their opponents were right all along, they've just upped the hostility levels (and it is only a very small, albeit noisy, minority)
