He certainly will be EPL standard if he keeps on his progress. Championship is a step up from the standard he's been playing at but he looks to have everything: really good vision and passing, quite strong for his age and can finish. It would be should be easy to stand out in the lower divisions in Scotland (at least it should be) but he's looked good for the Scotland under 21s too. Brentford are having a terrific season and I hope you can go up (Brighton, my other team, clearly aren't going to make it so good luck to you) but I thought an established EPL might have taken a punt on him. A million looks a steal--I'm guessing it was because it was accepted because the money was all up front. That'll all go to clear our chairman's tab at Gregg's or some such. Still, i thought he'd just be given to Newcastle and Rangers charged his moving costs. [i notice even Davie Weir says it's something of a fiasco]

comparing him to Boyd like that is like saying Ian Rush was the same sort of player as Robert Earnshaw. As a goal scorer, McCoist was in an entirely different league from Boyd. And to dismiss him as just a poacher is to ignore the amount of work he did and his overall quality as a player.

What's your point? That because Ashley has effective control for a small amount of investment (and in reality seems to have done all along) that we should celebrate him as a saviour, shouldn't question the nature of his relationship with the club or press to find exactly what the fuck has been, and is being done to our club? I'll never give to trust anyone in control of Rangers and would hope no bear would. That needs to be earned. And what possible reason have we be given to trust him.

You're right. But he could have made it a hell of a lot easier on himself but not saying what he said. He still could if he can out and said he shouldn't have said it. -
I suppose one can argue about the etiquette of giving somebody a earful in front of their kid but what the hell were they expecting? Baws to them: hope they get torrents of abuse whenever they leave their (graffitied) middens. In fact I hope bears in the Greenock area stock up on megaphones so they can abuse them when they're inside. The size of the shyte I couldn't give about this is bigger than Texas.
