  1. L Just read that piece. It's hard to escape the feeling of being a bit stitched up. Unquestionably Taylor (and probably Collymore) have little understanding of the context or the way that the anti-sectarian movement has essentially been a 'bash the hun' movement. But we could always try to stop making it so easy for them: if we're managing to make Celtic fans look like the good guys then we need to take a bit of look at ourselves.
  2. It surely shows how out of touch they are. I know it's looking like it's down to small margins but they surely can't imagine many small investors, probably fans, are going to be open to persuasion
  3. he's said he was in the past. But he would appear to have fallen for the Green Brigade/St Pauli 'I've pyoor read ma Gramsci man. Yooz ur all fascists' school of mhankism (which is only ever used as an excuse to say nasty things about Rangers fans and protestants and nothing to do with hegemony, base/superstructure, etc etc). Wasn't that long ago they were all pallying up to notoriously fascistic Lazio support because they were the Vatican's team. But so far as I can see his conversion has come entirely through twitter, confirming (as if it was needed) that he's a total fucking moron.
  4. Perhaps we can forward him this. Twat https://www.change.org/p/end-violence-against-women-and-girls-worldwide-pass-the-international-violence-against-women-act-2
  5. Confirmation of exactly what we all thought would happen.
  6. Curious logic at work in that piece. Flags up the uncertainty surrounding King/3TB but ignores the certainty of what has been done to us and relies on 'Ashley's got lots of money so it'll be ok', omitting to note that a proportion of his 'lots of money' used to be our but has been gifted to him by the board. On the positive side, even in this piece, there's a scepticism about Ashley and his intentions that wasn't evident in the VB's output up until quite recently, even if the anti-King and Murray line is still there. Presumably it's getting harder even for them to ignore the increasing mountains of evidence that the club has been forcibly bottomed.
  7. Just as well as they've reduced income by a fuck load more than that. I'm sorry but I can see absolute no reason for anyone to trust MA's intentions towards this club nor any reason why anyone with Rangers' best interests as their primary concern would want his minions on the board. You're entitled to your view but I find it absolutely incomprehensible.
  8. Hard to see how jig could have avoided that but no great loss. I've assumed he's been playing as he's the closest thing we have to a leader on the pitch. But he's not managing to get a performance out of anyone else's and has been pretty mince himself.
  9. He's right insofar as Cashley is still in a position to make life difficult. But his whole 'it's a pity they got involved' line is a clear sign of a man battling reality. What's behind it: hubris,, insanity or payment?
  10. Nobody seriously expected him to stay but the way he went means he's quite justifiably going to get pelters for years to come. He is a good player though: pacey and strong and very intelligent movement and a nose for goal. Only his touch and close control stop him from being really top class. That and the fact that he's a throbber, obviously.
  11. Walter always worried about bringing youngsters into a losing side. Worried about the damage it would do their confidence and worried about the consequences of them ballsing up when it was usually so close between us and Sporting Leprechaun. But so many of our senior players have been so poor so consistently for so long that I don't think either of those motivations apply (of course, McLeod did play regularly so perhaps not enough of them are good enough)
  12. The bit about who's paying them appears to have been left to fill in later. The squad obviously needs freshening up and a bit of quality so, under normal circumstances, the loans would be welcome. If it turns out Newcastle are paying for it, then it would be nice to have something back in return for the money flowing out of the club and into Ashley's wallet. But if we're paying for it then it's an absolute fucking fiasco. We're supposed to be taking loans of Jabba to meet the wage bill but then sending it back to him in the same window we sold our main (only) saleable playing asset for a knock-down price? I'll happily join a lynch mob if this is the case. And, as usual, nobody's got an effing clue what's going on.
  13. The 'RF is apolitical' position sounds a bit delusional. Is RF supporting the EGM calls? Voting to oast the board if the EGM takes place? I can understand them not wanting to go as far in speaking out as the RST have at times but surely there's a currently a fairly binary choice to be made?
  14. The WB is going to be fecking heaving. Much as I enjoy the place, I'm considering giving it a miss. Either that, or start queuing for my first pint on Saturday.
  15. The Hasard's up. Primarily about USC with only a few references to Rangers (though seems a couple of MPs only turned up to mention the club). http://www.parliament.uk/business/publications/hansard/commons/todays-commons-debates/read/unknown/1355/
  16. We could raise much needed funds by auctioning the chance to drive the bus and sell tickets to watch. I'd pay decent money to watch them run over repeatedly.
  17. T3B could have offered a billion quid unsecured and hourly blow jobs to the board and they still would have opted for Ashley's offer. It's been an absolute stitch-up from the start.
  18. Never saw that coming. A complete surprise that these pricks are determined to do fatso's bidding. Shortly before the game with Sporting Leprechaun, they'll be hoping that everyone's focussed on that rather than this rort. Pricks,
  19. He's looked like his dog's just died ever since he got the job. Clearly not happy doing it or the circumstances under which he got it.
  20. I Sorry but losing IBrox is apocalyptic. Could we have fans turning out with saws and paint brushes to get Cathkin Park ready for an FC Rangers? If absolutely necessary. But we're not going to stick two fingers up to Cashley and waltz into our new football megaplex that will keep us at the top of European football for the next fifty years. Our home is being stolen. We are on the verge of being bottomed out of any recognisable existence by that fat whoremongering sack of man fat.
  21. Off the top of my head (so apologies if my chronology is a bit wrong), Chris Burke, Alan Hutton, Charlie Adam, Mo Ross, Stevie Smith, Stephen Hughes, and Bob Malcolm all came through under Eck didn't they? Hughes didn't hang around, obviously, but the others played a bit. It isn't coincidence that we were downsizing at that time though
  22. Of course. But the only time we've done that for decades was under McLeish and the kids were given a very roughy ride. We (like Sporting Leprechaun) have been conspicuously crap at it for a long time.
  23. Like most, I thought he looked ok. But like most, I've seen him play very little. Dare say there'll be outrage that we're letting the new Eric Caldow go but reality is none of the youngsters we've let go have gone on to see the heather ablaze. The point of even having one seems pretty questionable though.
  24. And just when you think things can't get any more mental, somebody goes and does something like this. Completely hatstand. Surely there must be Celtic fans cringing with embarrassment or pudding themselves laughing at this drivel?
  25. Sides were picked some time ago. Personality clashes no doubt had some bearing on this in a few, noisy cases. Others were so anti-David Murray that anything involving Paul Murray or Dave King was bad by definition and anything that didn't was good. Then hubris kicks in and they've ended trying to justify the unjustifiable. I certainly wouldn't say they've all been bought: they're mostly committed, die hard bears. However, they're also blindingly obviously wrong. I'd also add that the behaviour of a handful of them has been pretty despicable but that's probably just a reflection of the world of social media which I regularly struggle with.
