  1. Until I see something more detailed and an initial willingness for all to sit down and talk then the actual situation and history would suggest scepticism well justified. I simply reserve or park my scepticism to see if anything was to happen but meanwhile concentrate on the present reallity and prospects ahead of the stage change in the spi.v process. IMO we shouldn't base or invest great hope in X unless we reach a stage where it becomes realistic and viable. That certainly isn't to say that efforts shouldn't be made towards it, more to encourage them, so they may be able to reach what could be termed as 'realistic'.
  2. I appreciate most of that, Hildy. Hence my....... A well written blog is fine but a realistic, practical and viable 'road-map' towards 'the goal'...... is what is really needed when touching upon this otherwise the sceptic's will simply say it is a non-starter and there would be little to suggest that they were wrong. We approach another stage change in the ongoing spi.v process, I think we'd do well to concentrate more on that for now. That doesn't stop others developing any project and coming back with solid proposals.
  3. As per the conversation last night. In the common interest members could be canvassed regards the forming of one new group that incorporates all, disbanding the current groups. Complicated, controversial, difficult and risky business to say the least but do the groups (or people therein) prioritise the group or the club. You'd also have Toxic trying to plant moles and/or looking for 'agents'. Nothing lost by trying to set-up a meeting but you must have any such project driven by all sides from the very beginning. Is there a realistic, practical and viable 'road-map' towards goal ?
  4. If Somers or Wallace made a phone call to the Livingston chairman and asked him if he was willing to publicly apoligise for the content, they'd soon find out how difficult (or not) this could be. If the appropriate channel is the SPFL and if they were to take some kind of action (censure?) would/could they make McDougall apoligize for content ? If LFC is somehow warned or censured but the chairman doesn't actually apoligize for content, how do we take it ? There exists the possibility that the LFC chairman has said what he has very deliberately, almost anticipates the reaction and wants to force an issue. He certainly showed a reluctance to nip the 'problem' in the bud when given the opportunity, this whilst fully knowing the level of anger caused. Regards the club and it's board, they don't care. We are a corporate vehicle to make money and just so happen to be a football club. However, they (their spin-doctor(s)) may surf the wave of anger and try and use it to their advantage if they need to divert attention or appear as 'caring'. Personally, I think they hope we forget about it.
  5. Regards the level of detail that was given, as I said last night I would have appreciated a little more. At the sametime I understand that the full details wouldn't be forthcoming as any process takes it's course. For me, 'a little more' would have simply been a few words to tell us which 'channel' is being used. ie. to confirm media reports about it being the governing body and/or to tell us if we have instructed lawyers to go down the legal route ? I think that is both reasonable and sits within any legal restrictions I can think of. Otherwise you seemingly get more info from the Evening Times.
  6. Good effort GD, You had him bang to rights with the e-mail (September 25th) that he didn't reply to. I think that he has answered you this time because the e-mail he replies to is 'more straightforward' and less embarrassing from his perspective. It's becoming a habit that there is so much misleading fog, spin and uncertainty as we approach AGMs, I think it must be a sp.iv custom.
  7. A few thoughts. - I think you need a couple of people from each group to all sit down and get the ball rolling. - There also needs to be a will and a recognition that Rangers FC is the common cause and that self interests be left at the door. - Anyone who has had previous issues might want to step back from frontline in the general interest (this should be self-policed from within groups and not become a matter for any joint meeting) - No-one from or with connections to the club should be involved.
  8. A little more detail would be appreciated. Is it via the SPFL as reported in the media ?
  9. Is this some kind of online kinkiness 'mods' get involved in ?
  10. You say, if it doesn't suit their interests (even in the event of an empty ground)...the spi.vs might not put us into administration or liquidation,.........but they certainly won't sell a controlling stake at anywhere near 20p a share. Tbh I don't buy that they wouldn't go for or be forced to go for insolvency proceeding in the case of a significant with-holding of 'custom' or simply a large fall-off in numbers. However I do accept that they will have various contingencies set-up to ensure 'large or on-going pay-day' one way or another. What's gone is gone regards opportunities that passed us by and we can only look forward. They basically have us by the short and curlies due to the emotional blackmail, integral to their strategy where effectivelly we'll be paying a % in the Blue Pound as a spi.v tax needed to keep the lights on. As for buying shares, fine but it will take time to build significant influence and if the AGM passes a resolution to allow the spi.vs to award more penny shares to themselves or associates then that 12% plus (2 x 1%) will be diluted and they keep us further away. These guys are Great Whites in the City, they are playing with us and when you look at Ashely and his recently set-up company for our trademark, it makes your spirits sink. They now hope that on top of a controlling interest & executive control.....that the support get weary with the ongoing circus, kind of accept the situation, roll-up and pay the spi.v tax. Personally I'd look to cut off the money supply and take our chances because there is as much doubt about the longer game, where we might end up fading away/going down without a fight. I know and accept that as it stands, there isn't enough appetite amongst the support for effective radical action (choosing not to finance spi.vs/club). So in the absence of XXM sterling, what will happen is we'll continue to be the scud book and pretend it isn't happening.
  11. Dumbarton are the only team to take points from Hearts this season and are unbeaten since August. Iain Murray seems to have them well organised after a poor start and they have conceded only two goals in the last 5 league games (1 every 225 minutes), including the goalless draw at home to Hearts. One of those 2 goals were scored by Alloa in the 92nd minute when Dumbarton were already 3 goals to the good. Before they embarked on their run of 5 undefeated, they had played Hibs at Easter Road and were 0-2 up with 12 minutes left but lost 3-2.
  12. Maybe the Arabs want some heavy rain and have heard that Lennon has "bringing thunder" on his CV.
  13. I'm not so sure we need more Dundee Utd ties unless the usual script was to be different from recent years. St.Johnstone will be fine aslong as we go through. To play Dumbarton, away, twice in 8 days is like the old bus analogy. After a wait of 2 years, two McGills double deckers (driven by James and Sandy) coming down the road in convoy loaded with Irvine, McMurdo and 50M. Seriously, the Dumbarton tie is what is termed as the preverbial banana skin.
  14. RE. "minor mistakes" If you judge this particular spelling mistake of "Grosvenor" as "a loss of credibility" where on the credibility scale is the club ? It might not be a competition, it isn't but last week you had journalist on the official website use "impotence" instead of "impetus". A day after the NOMAD had to correct their regulatory notice a few minutes after publishing it, (This has become a custom). The man supposedly in charge at Ibrox, Sandy Easdale has a loose handle on how to use the English language . What I'm saying is we seem to have become used to and somewhat impervious to the very basic of professional standards throughout the club whilst some want to jump on a spelling mistake by a volunteer. No it isn't professional and it has to be learned from but I think we need to cut the guy some slack and take on board the substance of what is said. Only my opinion.
  15. We know what happened to the Charles Green supported Tannadice boycott. Green welcomed the diversion and a chance to bump his gums whilst he carried out a 21stC corporate 'robbery' in the background and the support in fair number attended the game anyway. By the time the next Livingston away game comes round (31st January 2015) god knows what will have gone on in the more important business of our ongoing soap opera. I'd say priorities ly somewhat closer to home at present, plenty of time in 2015 if there is a will to boycott. It's the club who can act now, if they so wish.
  16. Scottish football is a very particular and strange place where all kinds of weird and 'wonderful' things occur, ............over and over again. It is also very predictable.

  19. My interpretation of the SPFL rule G7 suggests that isn't the case. See post 18 for rule.
  20. Scottish Professional Football League rule G7 http://spfl.co.uk/docs/067_324__therulesofthespfl_1375800603.pdf It would appear as the effected club must make an application to the SPFL on a game by game basis. ie. No application = No postponment Regards the Cowdenbeath 'plea', the dates below suggests it was always going to fail. 29th September: Cowdenbeath game cancelled http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/7756-cowden-trip-on-hold 02nd October: Moshni Suspension accepted. http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/7780-mohsni-suspension-accepted
  21. A few interesting options in there. Bring on Hurlford United v
  22. We now know what Broon was doing with his time during his injury lay-off, learning to read. He's just showing off now.
