Is this conditional/unconditional thing simply semantics? Seems to me, as stated: Bill Miller is offering a bid based on the conditional assurances of the SFA/SPL. Blue Knights/Brian Kennedy are offering a bid based on the condition of an acceptable CVA to creditors and the delivery of CW's shares. Both bids are structured in different ways (if we are to believe what we are told) and neither bid has to be accepted by creditors. So why are we getting so hung up on bids being conditional when it is the creditor group (or >75% thereof) that makes the decision? Seems to me that D&P can and should allow both bids to progress and for creditors to appraise the options that suit them best. Everything else is delaying tactics from D&P.

Which explains the innane grins at the end of the game. -
Has the Offensive behaviour at football Bill been scrapped already?

Why? It was a successful assassination! -
STV and others reporting that a 19 year old male has been arrested in relation to the Bartley abuse. Didn't say 19 year old Celtic fan, but hey, I guess we need to see the white of his hoops being paraded in court before we can say that.

And this wont suit the likes of Petrie as its a big risk for a club like Hibs to start their own channel. So would they be able to service their cost structure with no tv money?
-
Possibly, but we appear to getting down to the reality of all these machiavellan tactics from Lawwell. The Sky deal is the number one issue here. No Sky deal then everyone including Celtic are damaged. Say Lawwell's plan B is to create their own TV channel and have Celtic fans subscribe to this instead? Fine, we now have a potential income stream we can control which can contribute to funding the club on a more long term basis, and to help finance the CVA process.

I'm getting the sense that realpolitik is taking over with regards to the reality of the sanctions being imposed and the reaction of our support. I don't for a second believe that this is coincidental. I also suspect that William Hills and others will be thinking very carefully about whether to become, or continue to be, partners/sponsors with the SFA and SPL while they continue to bumble from one issue to the next. I suspect Topping's resignation is paving the way in this regard. It would have been a difficult one for him to remain as a non-exec if he is also the Chief Executive of a sponsor that is being damaged in some form as a result of their association with the SFA.

Agree with TB. The only way that it would be acceptable is for there to be clear progress in achieving a CVA. Regardless of the outcome of this, we are going to be cutting costs (primarily the budget for playing staff) significantly and we are likely to lose some or most of the current first team squad.

Ain't that the truth. It's tiring seeing him retweet dozens and dozens of questions with one word replies. I've found his "insight" of very little value.
-
Anyone else over this guy Hillier yet? Fair play he appears impartial but its just him offering an opinion on every last detail of our scenario and very little of it isn't already known, guessed or obvious. Maybe I'm just crabbit after yesterday's game and a full day boozing.

Thanks TB. Its commendable that they sought to prepare and screen this dvd but it is worrying the mixed messages we keep getting from D&P. I realise its a difficult job but you would think they could at least agree on a definition of liquidation and whether the Miller bid meets it. The other question is whether this is any reason why this video cannot be put on the club website?

And its his attitude and application that are questionable.
-
I'd contend its to do with his attitude and application rather than ability, hence my previous post.
-
Add in Fleck too, if he ever applies himself properly.

Terrific news. Despite everything in these difficult times, there are not many better or more exciting events than seeing exciting young talent coming through the ranks. Lets hope the lad has put his growing pains behind him and can start to fulfill his potential.
