There are "gems" out there but when shopping on a relatively low budget, every signing is a huge gamble. The gems like Aribo, Bassey, Alfredo, Kamara, Lundstrum etc were gambles that paid off, others will inevitably not pay off. This means the managers and DoF jobs become harder as the budget shrinks. Another potential solution (but it's long term) and also a gamble is put all available budget into your academy and use this to bring the best talent through and sell for huge profits. However, for me the time to do this was 2013 not 2022.....

Heard there was a barny behind Broomie at full-time. Hopefully a bit of retribution handed out.....

Meh ... terrible performance against a team that's lost 20+ goals in their last 4 games. Started really well and scored a great opening goal then stopped playing. Did the exact same 2nd half. 3 points, 2 goals for TC but bot much more to take from the game.

Well, well, well. Can't say this comes as a surprise. Won't hold my breath for an apology from SNP of Police Scotland.

Yeah I like American Football and "follow" The Raiders. Its not played in Canada who have they own version aptly named Canadian Football. Went to see Ottawa play once but wasn't for me. Actually went to see Toronto Wolfpack - Rugby League who won promotion into the UK Super League but Covid put a halt to it and they had serious issues after that. Baseball takes forever but I really got into it and still keep any eye our for Toronto Blue Jay's results. We tended to go and watch lower league Hockey as it was very expensive to watch Maple Leafs. We followed their feeder team, Toronto Marlies but did go and see Ottawa Sens a few times.
-
When based in North America I got into (Ice) Hockey and Baseball. Didn't really get basketball. Toronto FC were decent for a few seasons when I was over there and won the MLS - some of their games were decent enough to watch.

I believe there were rules put in place when we joined the Lowland League to stop this eventuality. Think you can only play so many games for 1st team and Remain part of the B Team. I might be wrong, but remember reading thisstthe time.
-
Went for Greegs but as others have said Davis, Lundstrum, Borna all played well and everyone gave their all.

Much better performance bit ultimately the same outcome. However think there were positives to take from the 1st hour and sending off changed the game. Please bring back Europe Thursdays. I miss European Thursdays.

Rangers 1 v Napoli 1 Tav FGS -
Trying too remain positive - it's tried and tested team / formation and Alfie has something to prove and if he channels his aggression correctly we all know what he can do. Also decent options from the bench. Question marks over the fitness of Jack and Tav so be interesting to see how they start.

Strange team selection - zero pace in midfield, looks like another long evening ahead of us ladies and gentlemen

I know, but both Wilson and Goo both stated that the cash from players sales would be reinvested into the playing squad. Then GVB says its not and we don't have money in the bank, saying he's happy with squad and contradiction of earlier statements. Again, it's down to communication and setting expectations and trusting us with the truth.
-
Is circa £7M a substantial chunk of the sale of Aribo, Patterson and Bassey and the compensation we got for SG and his management team? What was the intake? If its as low as £14M then it's only half......
-
If La La Land is in West Lothian then maybe that's true. He has several points ; - Board communication with fans is horrendous. - Serveral areas of the club have been neglected for too long ; ticketing, catering, disabled access, pricing, MyGers, customer service etc. - we were told that money fr9m players sales would be reinvested in the squad. This hasn't happened. - Gio said on Tuesday that there was "no money in bank", yet UEFA deposited £14M into out bank the previous Friday. And that's not taking into consideration of the money from players sales, EL run and record season ticket sales. The board staying silent doesn't help it hinders.
-
They maybe partially or completely wrong but when the board don't communicate than its easy to "jump to the wrong conclusion". Communication is key - radio or dignified silence was David Murrays tactic and so was sending the "stromtroopers" to have a word with those pesky desenters. The current board haven't lowered themselves to that level, but remaining silent isn't the best course of action. Didn't we hire a PR guru? What's he up to? Certainly not public relations that's for sure.

I believe King is trying to be a thorn in the boards side so they'll buy his shares to get rid of him. However, he has raised legitimate questions and concerns. Don't think the board can continue to ignore him or the wider fan base.
-
We kinda have - RSA, Sons of Struth, sections of fan media and now King have all spoken out publicly recently. Last night saw the current boards supporters - other sections of fan media and owner of Rangers pub jumping to boards defence and trying to demonise King and those who question the board. It's a shitshow.
-
It was always going to be played out in public as the current board refuse to communicate with anyone. There are obvious faults on both sides and as Frankie said in his article yesterday, it's causing fans to "chose sides" which is also counterproductive for us but plays into the boards hands. Timing is awful.
-
The soap-opra has recommenced and another 'split' in the fan base is inevitable. Some will back the current regime, some will back King and others will just sit back, grab a packet of popcorn and watch how this pans out. For the record i am critical of the current board but dont believe King is the right person to take us foreard either. He does but he is not wrong in anything that he says in his open letter.
-
I understand that the next statement / open letter may be from a certain Paul Murray (content unkown).
-
Maybe he's tried to talk to the board and they won't entertain him. I believe King and Park Jnr are not on speaking terms. The timing definitely sucks and you are 100% correct, something does stink (and has for a while). King will get as many answers as we get, but at least (as largest shareholder IIRC) he's highlighting and asking the permanent questions.
