One of my main worries is that the already poor atmosphere at Ibrox will get worse. There are a large majority of Gers fans that only know these songs, the words to the classic songs which are about the club and football are not know by so many. Also there will be many fans that will choose not to sing at all because they are unsure about what is safe to sing and what is not.

I know, but hopefully he will be eating his words over the next few years

I suppose i feel the same but I am still optomistic about the season ahead regardless of who they sign. Someone once said it is about picking the best team, not the best players and I am confident PLG will have us playing as a team again this season.

Does anyone know of any online leagues which are free to join. I have noticed there are quite a few for the EPL but it appears that most of the ones for Scotland charge approx �£5 to enter. I know it sounds stingy but I usually never get anywhere near to winning any prizes so it's just about bragging rights with the mates and not worth paying for.

I watched the Bergkamp Testimonial and Bendtner came off the bench for a few minutes in the first half. Too little time to see what he can do but he is quite tall and looked strong. Apparently he played a couple of games for the Arse in last years carling cup

As long as we get rid of that stupid rave anthem mixed with the tune from the old spice adverts we were coming out to last season. My personal prefrence would be Simply The Best but you are right beacause some will ruin it, it wont be allowed so we should go for something that will rouse the team and intimidate our opponents.

I was just reading from the below line, which is similar to the DR article "The cancellation, which was announced yesterday, came after police had consulted the club and Bolton Council and received intelligence from other forces who had handled previous Rangers matches." But I know what you mean, the DR was heavily pushing the threat of violence as the reason for the cancellation whereas this article goes on to explain that it's more of a resource issue than anything else

Unbelievable, I can't believe this paper continues to get away with printing this bulls***e. Surely there must be laws against this? I've travelled abroad to watch the Gers a few times, i was in Belfast the other week, my brother was at the Newcastle friendly and never have we ever seen any trouble involving Rangers supporters, we only ever experienced good natured banter with locals and opposing fans. So articles like this make me so angry cos I know there are muppets out there that will read this rubbish and believe it because it's printed in a national paper.

That's a good point. Austria are deliberately overvaluing the player as they don't need to sell and PLG is determined not to be held to ransom.

I'm not so sure Gribz. My girlfriend is a Notts County supporter and I've been to quite a few Third Division/League 2 games over the years and in my opinion playing Livi at Almondvale is luxury compaired to most of the shitholes in this league and the standard of football is total guff. Also it can be a very tough league to get out of, if say we didn't get promoted in the first season you can get dragged down to the level of the other teams and god forbid it could take years until we finally reached the EPL.

And another thing, the guy has serious anger management issues. After all the things that have happenend in the past ie, The kung fu kick in the sheep game and his old firm scuffles he has still not learned from these mistakes and will probably let us down again in the future. He even had to get dragged away from one of the Linfield players after squaring up on the final whistle last week.

Different managers have different policies when it comes to discipline. I'm sure if Gazza had behaved like that under PLG he woulf have received the same punishment and likewise for Ricksen under WS. The stupid thing from FR's point of view is that he is still questioning the managers decision if he is so desperate to be a part of this new era, 1 he would have followed the rules set by PLG or 2 if after breaking them he should be eating humble pie and begging for forgiveness.

If he keeps on scoring at that rate he should have plenty of time to smash Larssons scoring record.

That's quite interesting Cammy, I didn't know this. So it begs the question What can PLG do differently if it is completely out of his hands?'

The way I look at it is, for £14/15 per month you usually get at least 2 Gers away games per month (plus all the extras if they are of interest) which I would not usually get the chance to see. Also if you go to the pub to watch them instead you will end up spending a lot more so it doesn't seem like bad value for money. One of the reasons they showed less Gers games last season was because we were pish so while we were languishing in 4th place they chose to show more Hearts games instead. Hopefully that will all change this season

Totally agree Danny. Bob was always under-rated imo. It's also a shame neither Dick or Eck could fined a settled position for him as he was always just the utility man when we had a few injuries

He was released this summer. Never made the grade. I watched him in a few reserve games and he never really impressed. It will be interesting if PLG gives some of the other youngsters a chance this season. I would like to see what the likes of N'Gussan and Ashikodi are capable of.
